I PURCHASED THESE FROM JOE AND THEY’RE AMAZING! At first my only gripe about them was the angle that the point came out at because it makes skin-hooking the plastic awkward. I quickly learned that this angle GREATLY improves the hookset though. I went 8 for 9 on HUGE Smallies last week and I have the video to prove it. After all of those Massive Smallies, the hook didn’t bend at all. Great stuff. I highly recommend them.
"I love the smell of hot lead in the morning, it smells like BASS"! I have been using those jig heads of yours with a baby senko and they work!! Great video Joe, keep them coming. 💪👊
😂😂Thanks bro! Glad they are working for you! I know you like the heavier weights, I’ll make ya a couple of 1/4 oz. Should be able to bomb them out there!
@@ParabellumFishing Wow, thanks man, happy to make some kind of trade for those jig heads!! When I fish something new I like to fish it a lot, like my swim baits. Get good with it and move on to the next NEW one! 😂😂
@@1ManOpFishing Im the same way! I find something that works and I buy it in every size and color they have! Then it stops working and I go back to a YUM dinger LOL. I got you bud. Not worried about it.
3 months ago you showed an image of these hooks you made in your Cold Snap video. So happy you finally made a video on them. Thanks for showing the entire process from start to finish, including the safety disclaimer. I had almost forgotten about these. I REALLY would like to try them. Ned rigs were so deadly for me last year and my main excuse for not throwing them this year has been “too many weeds”. Terrible excuse because I KNOW I’m missing out in big Smallies. Great video, Joe.
Wow. It’s been 3 months? That got away from me! Lol. With all the jigs in need to make for the church show, I may be making more of these videos in the coming months. I got your email. I’ll hit you after work. Thanks bro! 👊🏻
Joe, your a man of many talents and you're right, that looked very easy. We have a guy down here that makes his own stuff too, says the same about Amazon, so great tip for those DYI's. Great job and thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks Larry! Glad you enjoyed it. I enjoy making my own. Makes it that much more rewarding when I land a fish on a jig I made. Amazon is a great resource for a lot of things. Jig making, not so much. Thanks for watching and all your support bro! It’s much appreciated 👊🏻
Man another video of yours that I will be trying. I never looked up on how to make my own heads like that. I didn't know the lead dry so fast, didn't know it would be that easy and actually looks fun. Once again, great tutorial!! I'm learning a lot from you buddy!! Great video Joe!
Hey Thanks Henri! Im glad bro! Happy to pass on whatever I know. This really is a fun hobby and I make a little side money doing it from time to time. Not too expensive to start up really. If you decide to try and have any questions, hit me top man!
Thanks bro! Glad you enjoyed it! Ill be making so many different jigs for the church fair, I may make a few more videos like this. Seems to be a popular topic.
Absolutely bro! It’s an awesome hobby and not really that expensive to start up. I have a couple of other videos about it. Thinking of doing a “how to get started” type video. If you decide to start making them, hit me up with questions bro. I don’t mind people learning from my mistakes. 😂
About a year ago you did another video where you were making some jigs. In the comments you said you used lead from old bullets and cast net weights, I believe. Is that still the case, or if not, where do you get your lead now? Also, do you do anything to clean the lead as it melts?
@@Paul_T82 yup. Still the case. I do use small amounts of wax when I add new lead to the pot. The wax binds with the impurities and floats the nasty stuff to the top. Scoop it out with one of my wife’s kitchen spoons. Lol.
@@Paul_T82 hahaha! I get that. Price lead at scrap yard. Search for lead ingots online. Walmart regularly has the big Egg sinkers on clearance. I pick those up from time to time.
Great video, I recently switched over to the weedless ned jig head on my swimbaits and they are so much better. Where do you get your jig making material (Led, hooks, molds etc....)?
Nice video man. Pacing and all that. I've thought about doing that for my website. I like the pot that you use to pour them instead of the other ways I've seen. I think having that would pay for itself in convenience and less over pour.
Thanks man! When I bought the pot it was only around $60. So yeah, well Worth the price for less hassle. I think they are more expensive now. But still Worth it in my opinion.
First Class Jig Heads there! The Deadly Nedly never looked better. You can say what Yosemite Sam said to Buggs Bunny in one episode, "What I'm a-sayin, I'm a-sayin with lead", Lol.
Ah, the good ol days of cartoons. Im not sure how many kids even know who they are these days. Thanks man! Its a fun hobby and always cool to catch them on tackle I made!
Man, I’ve really gotta get some of these so I can throw the ned weedless. Great video and overview of those - nice job Joe!👏 Now I know what kept you from coming out!😂🤣
Thanks bro! I'll tell you a secret. Before these were commercially available, I would rig my Neds like I would a shaky head. Did a pretty good job at keeping them fairly weedless. Still had to set the hook a little harder, but it worked pretty good.
That’s awesome man! I casted reloaded my own ammo for years. My dad taught me as a kid and I was a competitive shooter in my teens. Turning on the lead pot always brings back those great memories.
@@ParabellumFishing oh I bet man. That's awesome I never shot competition but I've probably reloaded couple 100 thousand rounds till the Wuhan Virus then all the primers disappeared.
First, they crazy expensive, then they disappeared! Haha! I still load my own shot shells and I came across some primers at a gun show about a month ago.
Well, the church is in Boca Raton Fl, so you'd better get driving! LOL Thanks for the support bud! I may do a OTH style live an do some giveaways with the left over inventory. We'll see.

Yeah I also learned that moisture and lead don't mix. A buddy of mine went diving under a local pier. He brought me some lead. It wasn't dry enough I guess and BOOM! I Hope you didn't get hurt during your accidents.
Can I order some from you and get them before the benefit.. maybe 12 each size and color?.. love your videos sorry I've been late trying to get settled in new place..

Hey Joe👊🏼👊🏼 Seems simple enough. Pour pot is pretty slick. With the mold having six sizes, doesn’t it take awhile if you want a bunch of one size? Keep up the info videos👍
Hey Jim! Yeah it can be a little time consuming but really, I only make 3 or 4 sizes so it usually goes pretty quick. I don’t usually paint the same day I pour. I’ll spend a whole Sunday in the garage pouring them, then on a rainy day, paint and package. Still beats watching tv lol 👊🏻
