I joined Kyokushin karate school last week in Japan. I am not bilingual. Even though the Sensei was teaching very patiently I was not able to grasp the basics with details. This class is perfect for beginners. Crisp and detailed with right form. Thousand likes
Thank you for leaving your kind comments sir! It means a lot to hear this and it definitely made my day to see that I was able to help. Keep up the good work and feel free to ask if you ever have any questions or even requests for certain topics. OSU!
i remember when i first did Kinhon. it was super intense for the first few weeks. after that everything became super awesome. it feels super healthy after every session
Very interesting to see the differences in details across all the karate styles, but also seeing what they all have in common. Nice Video! Domo arigato Senpai 🙏
Kyokushin is an excelent self defense style. If I didn't train my style (Japanese Jiu-Jitsu) I would train either Kyokushin, Kudo or Ashihara karate. Excelent work and well deserved brown belt. I feel like it would be extremely interesting to sparr with you.
Martial arts is so amazing. Some of these ideas are sure to improve my balance and my boxing and i dream to be a professional MMA fighter. Thanks for the lessons!
@@RGMARTIALARTSwelcome my friend i practiced shotokan karate some 20 years ago for an year very similar but Non contact sport while kyukoshin is full body contact martial art pitty they don't alliw to punch the face for obvious reasons is kyukoshin a good self defence system coz at age 40 im thinking of starting again.. lol

Osu my friend how are you I always watches your videos and follow you on Instagram I request you to make one video on how the kyokushin dojo runs like starting to end with Japanese terminologies and like in starting of the class we have to command for.seiza and class manners as well what are the deceplines students should follow
Appreciate the feedback sir! New Kyokushin lessons coming out soon. Until then kindly support me by sharing this with friends and family to help keep everyone fit. Stay safe and healthy👊🏻
Bro i watched the video. It was super awesome for me as a beginner. But can u pls write down the list of all the moves, stances u showed in the video. So that i can write in my diary cuz it would be a bit difficult for me to re-watch the video and write!😅
When you use a “kiai” you don’t say kiai. More like ai, ei or oi. Kiai (Japanese: 気合, /ˈkiːaɪ/) is just a Japanese term used in martial arts for the short shout uttered when performing an attacking move.
Short answer: its TENSE, RELAX, TENSE. Long answer: thehubedu-production.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/5704/7fad7bdc-19f2-408b-ae49-74deb4c204d6/McGill__double_Peak_in_Muscle_Activation.pdf A scientific study showing many high level fighters with effective speed and power tensing in the beggining, relaxing in the air(acceleration of punch) and then tensing again upon impact. Your soto uke stops at the center and will not block anything. Your uke must go past the center. Remember “uke” comes the Word “ukeru” wich means “to receive”. Almost the opposit of blocking. You are redirecting the punch.
Sorry not quite sure what you mean but they definitely are for blocking an incoming punch. If you rephrase that question I may be able to help you out better! 👍🏻👊🏻 Take care Bro.
@@RGMARTIALARTS I'd say he's talking about joint manipulations, like the stuff in Bunkai. You grab your opponent's arm, pull your hand back to hikite and with the other hand you do for example a Soto Uke at their elbow, screwing up the joint. At least that's how it is in Shotokan bunkai, I dunno about Kyokushin, never trained in it. Maybe I should tho, who knows.
I was like 5yrs old doing this for a couple months. My parents took me out because i had asthma and was skinny..lol still made that bitch boy green belt cry😂😂😂. My sensei was Spanish, he said to the green belt white boy, " No seas vieja chillon"
This will depend on you. Some people do it in a year. I took 7 years because there is a lot more to it for me than just ticking the boxes. You should be ready to mentally and physically understand certain deeper aspects of karate.

For a powerful punch, do we need to have our hand tensed at the first half of the punch and then throw it freely? Or does this work in the other way?

Great video. Don't enable subtitles though, they are messed up. 🤣
I'll start boxing soon, do you think it would help me to learn kyokushin karate as a plus in real fights? (just from videos)
Yeah it will, Kyokushin is a very good base, its good that you're doing boxing too, its more complete that way
Thanks for your videos.
Your mawashi geri looks like an ura mawashi geri, or is this to do with the kyokushin style?
May be partly because of style
However, great observation 🙏🏻
Jim kazama is my favourite tekken 5 character. i usually dominate my friends with him
