Wowzers, my son was yelling "Go Willa,Go..Mom Willa caught a big one..yayy Willa!" He did the fish dance.. lol... We loved watching the bait ball with the 360 camera . That was amazing then to see all the baseball boiling on the surface was so cool and all the other fish that Will was feeding amazing.... I'll be at the Boat Show can't wait . Looking for a vessel.... We are excited for your trip coming up.. oh I love the new heavier sail... Gonna be Great.... Thanks for sharing your lives with us... Fare winds and following sea's ✌🏼💗😊❣️
Oklahoma Gal here again!! Oh my goodness I would give Anything to see the blue waters!! On my bucket list!! I absolutely love watching your precious family!! Oh my goodness the fish under your boat!! Your videoing is awesome!! Thank You again for sharing your precious family and keep doing what makes your hearts smile!! Prayers and blessings to You All!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Willa is mesmerized by the fire starter. I highly recommend that you hide it when it’s not being used. Safe passage . Great video. I love the fishing element.
Long time subscriber. Good on you both for taking on this adventure now. My kids are your age so, people my age tend to reflect on "woulda shoulda coulda". No regrets here but don't ever second guess your choice to do this now! Sail on! And OH Canada 🇨🇦!!
Hi from Texas, Ben and Ashley! Amazing video again...I can't wait to catch up with yall every week!! The baitball....OMG...I watched it over and over until hubby teased me!! LOL!! AMAZING!! I've grown up on the Texas coast and have NEVER seen that!! Ashley, I've JUST started using my bread machine again and it looks to be the same brand as yours. Love it. Without fail this white bread recipe rocks on a 2 lb/med crust setting: 2 lb loaf - put ingredients in in the order presented: 1 1/2 Cups warm water 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil (optional), but I use 2 T real butter 4 Cups all purpose flour 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast Good luck and safe travels with your beautiful littles!! Hubby and I will be full time cruisers in about 6 months...maybe one day our paths will cross!
Thanks for all the great years.. I really look forward to seeing you guys every week .. I watch reruns of you as well. Can't get enough... Your the best. The smartest. And most equal couple. Thank you....
This is my current bread machine recipe. It does not have dairy. It is called, Best Bread Machine Bread, from Allrecipes. Thanks for your videos. It is such a nice escape. Ingredients 1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C) 2 tablespoons white sugar 1 (.25 ounce) package bread machine yeast ¼ cup vegetable oil 3 cups bread flour 1 teaspoon salt Directions Place the water, sugar and yeast in the pan of the bread machine. Let the yeast dissolve and foam for 10 minutes. Add the oil, flour and salt to the yeast. Select Basic or White Bread setting, and press Start.
That was AMAZING! Awesome! Yes, I really can appreciate that next passage... I think that sailing south down the coast of Western Australia in spring with large, steep swells upwind, with 25 to 30 knots (despite trying to pick 15 knot weather window) has prepared us well for future sails! We waited 3 weeks for our perfect weather window, but it was not ideal. But we made it and you will as well! Wishing you gentle constant winds and small, long period swells!
What a pleasure to watch your show with your wonderful family . Hands down the best sailing vid on line. Thanks for the respectful filming of each other and the kids as your lives blossoms and blooms.
... Well! ...that bait ball sure was something .... have seen the frenzy of gulls diving which gave the sign that bait could be had and possibly a larger fish also when fishing with my dad when I was preschool age off of Sooke Basin.. I was already baiting hooks and using adult rods and one of the guests at my parents motel gave me a small plastic rod smaller than what Willa was using .. thx for the trip down memory lane .... good job Ben on landing Willa's catch ... good haul also with the Yellow Fin, good size one too ... they sure are not shy about charging to moore in the parks thx for the share Ben & Ashley .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe save our oceans ....
Thank you for the #inspiration! I hope some day to live a similar life style. I watch your videos every week. Thank you for helping me believe anything is possible.💜🙏
A "painter" is for when a crew member is hanging on a sling over the side of the boat painting the hull there is a line left hanging in the water trailing behind in case the painter falls in.
You guys Rock !! Love the show . My wife and I are in similar roads as your first decision to sell everything and go. We’re thinking about buying land in Costa Rica and building a place down there and travel around to Central America . Now after watching your show we love the idea of just having your house on the water and traveling the world. We are definitely game to that as well. Love the content keep the videos coming . Think your rocking Africa now . Very inspirational!! Love it !! Safe travels and happy sailing!!
😊❤️Great video. I love all your videos even the real ones that show all your emotions. 😢😂😡🫣🤪😊 This video shows your joy at being back out on the water. 🌊We, the viewers, always have lots of opinions sitting here on our sofas. Like when your son was crawling fast towards the front, my first thought was I can’t believe they’re letting him do that. But, then, I could hear in Ben’s voice as he was talking that he was walk/running towards him. We all know our own kids and our own limitations so while it’s hard not to be armchair critics with the best of intentions, I for one, trust that you guys have got this! You are living your best lives and showing your kids a world most people will never get to experience. So, on that note, continue to enjoy the experience, be safe and listen to your gut! Happy sailing and smooth winds. ⛵️
Hello guys, thank you for this video. So Ben, the main painter on Nahoa is obviously you, the guy with the paint brush. However and with that being said, a marine painter is used to connect the bow of your towed dingy or life boat to your Mother ship ( that's where the Mothers normally are with the little ones, in your case that would be your beautiful Wife Ash and children Willa and Bodhi). A painter on a canoe can also be used to guide your boat or canoe upstream through troubled waters. (Please consider consulting Paul Simon as he has written lovely songs about this sort of thing). BTW, the kids are beautiful and growing fast! Cheers from Nanaimo.
Awesome, it looks like you guys are ready to roll. It must be hard to leave such a beautiful place in the Seychelles! All those fish, wow. Wishing you a safe passage and good winds, love you guys!
Jalapeno cheddar bread; - any white flour bread mix, 1 jalapeno (or other spicy pepper), 1/4 to 1/2 lb cheddar cheese cubed 3/4 - 1 inch then frozen solid, - pepper sliced in rounds approx 1/8-1/4" goes in at the start of the cycle, cheese goes in during the knead/beatdown (or final mix just before baking starts. Great just warm or toasted with butter and makes great sandwiches too...
Thanks again guys, great video of the life in that part of the world, beautiful beaches for sure. Be safe and looking forward to some offshore sailing vids!
Thank you from Fiji Islands 🇫🇯 . Just saw your channel this morning and subscribe... Great content...definitely alot of work and effort put into it....Wow..and amazing camera shots 👍. Wow...wow..wow...Bless your family..Bless your Leadership...bless your journey...Bless your sailing with good health..safe passage...and enjoyable sail. Vinaka 🙏
There’s no knead bread recipes on Pinterest if you have a Dutch oven. I’ve made it. Cook less time in an RV or sailboat. No idea of your set up but thought I’d share.
That bait ball was really interesting to watch, especially the first clip as it moved from the tender to the cat. Good job on the tuna, you gaffed that with some authority. lol
I have always enjoyed living in East Tennessee and having natural resources which I do use some but also know in a hard time I could utilize it even more. The lifestyle you have with your family and having such a resource as the ocean makes me envious. I enjoy your content have been keeping up with you guys since before the kids and have much respect for what you are doing.
Have a safe passage you 4. Those depressions that roll around the bottom of South Africa are the same ones that make the passage to New Zealand entertaining.
Clear into Vilankulos and go to Santa Carolina for some beautiful beaches and snorkeling or contact Bazaruto…some of the most beautiful places and fishing
Lovely. I am saving up and getting things in order so I to can travel the world at the speed of smell and videos like this make it so much easier to make sacrifices while in the process.
Have to agree with Ben regarding termanology and how crazy some people are about enforcing the "correct" terms. Absolutely understand need for clear communication between people, especially who aren't familiar with each other or their common gear in use. But, some people take it way too far. A couple could get a boat and sail around the globe ten times calling the whatsit a thingamajigi and it wouldn't make them less of a old salty sailor. Love to the family and so happy to see things going smoother.
Great video guys! Ash, you look amazing! I can't believe you have two kids, wow!! Hope all goes well on your next passage. Looking forward to the next episode already 🤗
In English English we do call ropes ropes... yes a sheet is a sheet and a painter is a painter but we don't have that weird pedantic affectation that a random bit of rope on a boat is somehow not a random bit of rope. I need some rope I say 'pass me the rope'. Painter is from Latin via French and means to suspend/tie etc.
I was just thinking of how neat it would look if you guys were to get a camera inside the bait ball ... then you did & it did not fail to impress ! It almost looks 3D and I'm watching it on my phone lol So glad you guys were able to get back out there and continue sharing your adventures with all of us !!!
I was at a sailboat show in Chicago and attended a lecture given by the president of the Chicago Power Boaters Association and he referred to the lines/ropes on a sailboat as "strings." So there you have it, I liked strings and think you should refer to them as such.
Badass you guys going under South Africa. We have been wanting to see sailor channels engage big Nature. It makes for a full ride. Yes it’s easy for us at home to want this and/but you have to think of your boat & family primarily. Hope it all happens. No one goes to the South Atlantic! That would be epic
You guys should really consider taking at least one crew with you when you head south. With having those babies, if one person becomes ill, it will be so hard for the other to take care of sailing and kids and sickie.
Lol, I love it when other channels call it "provisioning" you're not sailing on the Mayflower from one part of the world to another land with no stops on the way. I mean you can stop at a lot of places for food on the way. Heck people drive to you for trading even.
Just great. I’m what, an hour or so east of the geographic center of the US? I’m cooking spaghetti for dinner, and now… thanks to you… I want tuna. Thanks a lot.
Good luck with the voyage. People have been sailing that channel for hundreds of years with out charts and forecasts so Im sure you'll be ok. South African bread is also pretty good, even the cheap bread is still better than most places, and the food here is AMAZING and pretty cheap.
Great video specially the fish swarm! You have great children ! LORD Jesus Christ bless you and protect you !
Epic video Nahoa! Loved seeing the bait ball under your boat. So happy to see you all out and enjoying cruiser life again. Safe passage, and enjoy!
Stay safe and stay positive! So happy you guys were able to get everything fixed and get back to cruising! Keep up the hard work and awesome content! By far my favorite channel on the tube!

I'm so happy to see all the fixing has been accomplished. Ben you're the man! Bodhi seems to be following in his father's footsteps.
Your underwater shots are amazing. You can do that professionally. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Blessings to you and yours.

Thank God for Ashley!, she keeps you working all the time so you don’t goof off!!

2 Tablespoons vegetable oil (optional), but I use 2 T real butter
4 Cups all purpose flour

Good luck and safe travels with your beautiful littles!! Hubby and I will be full time cruisers in about 6 months...maybe one day our paths will cross!

Halyards left, sheets tension and control, lines secure. Yes they are all ropes.

What a start to the video! I loved this one and I am hoping your passage is a good one.

MAAAAAAN, that scool of minis were AMAZING! /Catta from Sweden, no scools here.
By giving "rope" specific names it illiminates confusion when relaying a particular piece or length.
Very cool fish footage, it looks beautiful there enjoy

I chartered there, the lightbulb moment, I can live on a boat!, 18 years ago. One of the beaches there is THE most photographed.
Thankyou and good luck 👍
Crazy school of fish! Really awesome!
SV Delos regularly makes bread using a bread making machine. Their recipe seems to work really well.
