Robert: even though it's 4 years old, it still feels relevant Me driving a '98 e36: is this a joke I'm too poor to understand? Amazing video once again. Quarantine wouldn't be the same without you two and your videos guys. Cheers! Edit: what do we have to do to make Ring beaver and speed limit squirrel t-shirts a thing? :)
the turbos, the sound they make when the driver is dosing the throttle is just something else... and the decompressions. Basically, everything in this car is extraordinary
I think the BIG thing about this venue for any real petrolhead is not all about trying to be out at the front or top of the heap or whatever in your BMW; it's the sheer thrill of sharing the road with dream cars and world-class drivers pushing them to the limit. Being overtaken at 130 mph by a blur travelling at 195+mph is a fantastic thrill. If you're into cars, it doesn't make you feel small or inadequate or beaten or a loser - it makes you feel ALIVE. I'm no track driver; I did amateur (club-level) rallying in the Group-B days back in the 1980s. I never got to drive a works machine, but it was still a privilege to be on the same event as the likes of Mikkola, Salonen, Blomqvist, Mouton, and Alen. Driving the same stages just after they'd blasted through them was a humbling but unforgettable, exhilarating experience. Sadly you could only 'feel' their pace on the stopwatch at the end of the stage, but the N-ring's different: you're actually out there with them. I like that. Treasure the memories, guys! :-)
Great lap! I love the sounds tharlt car makes! And its setup seems amazing, without any scraping in compression zones.. Tell the squirrel to meet Nurburgring GmBh, to explain the hypocrisy about the speed limit..
Barring the obvious legends that McLaren have come up with, I still firmly believe that the 675LT is among their most iconic cars. Such a beast. Can still easily take on most modern track-focused road cars. Aging like fine wine!
Sitting here in difficult times and watching UA-cam to past time. Well done, looked so graceful around the hole track. What a lovely car to see in action, but even so more when someone bring’s out the personality of the car as every is an entirely different subject. Opening up to the car will open up more of the limitations of the possibility’s of there willing but respected limit’s! Thank’s again Robert as this is what bring’s a smile 😀 on my face as times get hard. Was the squirrel eating a chipmunk 🐿??? Lol 😂
Excellent content as always! Are you able to drive the cars like the 675 LT and GT2 RS? It would be great to see you take one out on POV instead of the tractor. 👍
Was waiting for a new video from you hehe. Hello from the Rothmans CBR, passed you in Nürburg when you and the brit Golf IV went to the Nordschleife(I think?) and back few days ago :D
One thing that I have always wondered regarding the roofscoop, does the car experiment any horsepower increase?? Comparing It against a 675lt without roofscoop, there must be some difference I guess, at the end of the day you are getting more air into the engine, wich should mean more power. If not, does it improve the cooling of the car? Anyway, nice car, nice vid, thanks for sharing it!!
I dont wanna be that guy "i know everything" but here it goes. think modern mid engine cars has the intercooler on the front of the rear wheels, where the big holes at the back of the door. So i think the scoop is only there to make the driver/owner of the car to push the car harder or lap more times around a track aka cooling down the engine/engine bay more efficient. Thats my thought about it.
@@fiddycrew93 the roof scoop is a clean, high pressure air intake for the turbos, not for cooling. That's supposed to increase power in a measurable way.
From a tiny bit of research i found this on the McLaren newport beach blog: the roof scoop offered by MSO is there to intake air going over top the vehicle to cool the engine faster, so if you find yourself going to the track, the roof scoop is perfect for you.
My favorite supercar in the world thanks man, my favorite car is actually GT3RS :D, i hope you (you and Robert) can make POVs with others as well soon :D
Outstanding...and yet it didn't look like Robert was anywhere near pushing that to the limit. I'd love to see a 100% lap, some day...although I know that Robert isn't really into pushing his cars that far.
Every sense the human body has must be so heightened with the pure adrenaline this amazing car gives! Wonderful British company & one I would visit immediately upon a lottery win hahaha
I've been playing Mechwarrior 5 too much lately, and started using a new weapon called the LB 10-x AC (not Grimes' child) and it literally uses a turbo blow off sound effect after it is fired. The 675lt's turbo sounds a lot like it.
Robert what is the suspension setup for 675lt is it stock it seems very firm, and what tires are on it cup2r od trofeo r since they came from factory with trofeo r
Still my favorite Mclaren road car (sorry it looks perfect the senna looks ugly in comparison) and kudos to Robert once again driving the wheels off it
Robert you are a legend, I was just curious so I timed your video from the time you hit the gas till you let off at the end, the was a 7:44.05 I’m traffic..😱
Misha and Robert, when was this video taken? On the 14th, if so, that's a Thursday not a Friday :-) Having fun, who cares what day it is. Lucky guys indeed!
This is the most hard and proper driven Mclaren on earth!
What about gt3 mclarens
@@cemhoysaloglu1567 No gt3 cars had done 1000+ laps in one piece
@@cemhoysaloglu1567 GT3 cars are rebuilt almost weekly lol
What about the P1 with the numberplate P100V?

Damn!! So glad you boys are back were you belong!! Thank you for sharing....be safe, be well
You guys discussing food qualifies this video to a thumbs up! 👍
The carousel is so brutal
I knew i wanted to go to the ring but your videos make it irresistible
Loving the head cam view......much more intense ...
Speed Limit Squirrel is the MVP of this vid. It needs to be an official sign at Breidscheid!
IDE say that’s fastest lap I’ve seen Robert do yet, he’s definitely got that car down to an art.
Just out for a nice cruise there;-)

The 675lt is the best super series car they made for me and once again Robert driving the wheels off it good job cheers steve 😀👍
I shall most definitely enjoy this. 675LT, the love of my life.

Speed limit squirrel 😂
The exact speed value wasn't mentioned however. The engine sound leads to estimeted 170 km/h limit value. ;)
@@dmitrykireev3607 you dont do that part at 170km sir
Do you want to say that you also don't go through Foxhole at 270+ km/h flat out in a 320 e36? o_O
Excellent work, letting the engine provide the soundtrack and avoiding talking from bridge to gantry! Thanks for this!
Robert is mustard behind the wheel and that 675lt is a missile! 👌👍
lols @ Speed Limit Squirrel
675LT is the best of Roberts cars. It sounds like an angry steammachine with the roof scoop.
This is the first proper McLaren BTG video on YT! Thanks 🙏

I bet Robert is such a great boss. Dude is so nice, soft spoken and seems really chill. Will definitely do an Apex tour one of these days.
Wow, I could not even imagine the g-forces on that ride. Outstanding lap in a great car! 😲😎
That was awesome. The POV view gives you a better perspective on elevation changes.
The carousel was agressive AF majestic to watch and hands down to the speed limit squirrel
Fantastic, I could watch this all day!
Interested in seeing how this will compare to the 765lt
turbocharged v8 engine 8500rpm redline 😍🔥

Wow. What a cool E90 M3 at the exit.
That turbo noise tho... similar to P1 sound but P1 is a lot angry. But having that similar experience on this car, AAAHHH, will be great.

I was vacuuming the household whilst watching this , my Dyson V5 Animal compensated very well for the sound of this Maccie😂
Just like a tracktor lap just played at 2.5x and on helium!
Whalllllllllll that was great, nice work guys
Robert is like, “ Sometimes you should take it easy on the track”- in the middle of carousel. “Well, sometimes”
Some other times apparently 😂
Wonder if Robert would consider buying the Rimac C_TWO. It will be fun to see him go for a few laps round the Nordschleife with it.
Still my favorite Mclaren road car (sorry it looks perfect the senna looks ugly in comparison)

So, you like 675lt more than the p1?
the 720s headlights and general design are so much more elegant than the previous generations
Agree the headlights and the rear are stunning, though the P1 looks epiq - def. the 2 best looking Mc‘s
So nice sounding.
That man and car combination is good!
it's nice but it ain't no TDI tho

Living the dream. Lap the ring then conversation about burgers and pancakes, it's the little things. On a side note, what was the beeping sound?
The 675LT just seems to naturally gravitate towards apexes, eh?
1000 laps it's basically been there for 7 days. The 168 hours of Nurburgring!
A fast clean lap in a fast car.
Casually making it look easy.
