I’m the child of of travelers. My first international trip was across Mexico when I was 6 months old.
I so look forward to seeing you 2 share the world with your little nester!
If my parents were able to do it back in 1969, you should have zero worries in 2020!
Give your baby the sense of wanderlust! Let them experience that our differences make us all unique, but at the core we all the same,
Many blessings to you 2, and baby nester is gonna have a beautiful life!

The thing about having kids is things are unpredictable. I think it's a good idea you got all your study, etc out the way first. 💕 I am currently a SAHM new mum and I'm studying a bachelor of Food and Nutrition online with LaTrobe University through Open Universities so it's awesome I can study online, be a parent and travel if I wish to but it's hard. My husband works full-time and I plan on going back to work once our baby older. I studied personal training and fitness courses and I also did a diploma in Business at TAFE when I was 21 but I'm only just doing uni now and have two years of study left. I worked in hospitality and also did personal training jobs for years to help my husband and I save for our trips. As a parent who loves travelling I do think waiting until a baby is 12 months old is sensible. I mean that from a good place, kids can't get their MMR vaccine until 12 months old and my husband and I make sure we are fully vaccinated and so is our daughter before making international travel so we are waiting until a couple months after our daughter's first birthday so she can get all her vaccines. I'm 27 and my husband is 29 and we recently became parents to our almost 5-month old girl. My husband and I met though mutual close friends when I was 20 and he was 22. I went overseas for the first time when I was 21 and my boyfriend and I went to Japan for three weeks. Now we have been together several years and married for three years. We have been all around Australia, including The Great Barrier reef, and we have in order been to Japan, Fiji, USA, Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Norway, Hungary and most recently Austria. My husband and I stopped travelling four months before I got pregnant as we came home to Australia to set up. I also know flying frequently can be bad for a pregnancy so we wanted to postpone travel before pregnancy even happened but that is just what we wanted to do. As long as you're monitoring the situation it's up to you. I came off birth control a month after coming back to Australia and My husband and I started to try for a baby and three months later I was pregnant. We haven't travelled overseas since and she is approaching 5 months old and we still feel she is too young. We are planning our travels and saving to go again after her first birthday and plan to keep travelling until she is four when we will come back and enroll her in pre-primary. We own the house my husband and I live in and so we will likely rent it out and store away our belonging with family, and insure it all. My husband also has a full-time job and a side job doing a professional graphic design and photography business that is helping us save. Once our little girl is two and my studies are done I plan to go back to work full-time or part-time and start my own personal training and nutrional advice business as well as working a regular job until my business grows. We want to travel while we can before our daughter starts school as we want our daughter to have travel and cultural experiences from around the world but we want her to have a normal and steady childhood in school too. Kids really change a lot of things. We are planning on going back to the USA and Canada around October for a couple months. Our daughter is named Rosalie Grace Miller but we call her Rosie for short. 💕 She was born August 25th, 2019 three days before her due date and my labour only lasted three hours and she was born weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces at 7:33am. 😂

I personally would love to see you guys travel Western Australia for baby's first 12 months of life. Not just that but babies can't get their MMR vaccine until 12 months old and it is so important that he/she is fully vaccinated before international travel. Please do vlogs and showcase the beauty of Western Australia. You could even make a second channel 'Growing The Nest' and do family vlogs as well. It's completely up to you guys. Xx

I would love to see them travel around Western Australia for a year and watch them adjust to parenting for that first bit. You're also right about the MMR vaccine and it's definitely important that baby gets that as soon as they are old enough before any travel.

I would love to see you guys vlog Western Australia. End of the day I respect your decisions and you seem like you're both going to be lovely parents but waiting until baby is 12 months old before travelling internationally again is your safest bet. You'll be adjusting as new parents, babies need full time care and pregnancy takes so much out of you. You can't get certain vaccines until 12 months old and it's so important that baby is fully vaccinated and has their first year to build that immunity before travel. There are many beautiful places to see in Western Australia. Rottnest, Broome, Dunsborough, Margaret River, Albany, Exmouth, Busselton, Pemberton, Jurien Bay, Wave Rock, Pink Lake, The Pinnacles, Swan Valley, Ngilgi Cave, Cape Leeuwin, Kings Park and Botanic Gardens, Elizabeth Quay. There are so many options. Many people probably haven't been to Western Australia and would love to see these places. Baby's first Christmas could be a hot Aussie Summer one. If I had a baby on the way I would personally take 12 to 15 months off of international travel but it's completely up to you guys. Just know many people will still watch you travel Western Australia and I'd love to see you three be in vlogs once baby is here vlogging parenting life. You could even make a second channel to document as a family as well. 💕

Make sure you get your flu and whooping cough shots. 💕 It might be a good idea to wait until baby is 6 or 12 months old before travelling again just so baby is vaccinated and has an immune system and you need time to adjust. You can't get the MMR vaccine until 12 months and baby will definitely need that. 💕 You guys are great about parenting and will work everything out. I'm 23 and unsure about having kids but maybe someday. I think 30 is a good age as you navigate through your 20's. I so badly want to travel. I have a broken leg atm. I broke it a month ago ago so it's not as bad but I'm getting better. I'm still on sick leave atm and not going anywhere 😂 Once I'm healed I am just going to be working and starting my diploma at TAFE in March, considering uni, looking to travel to Japan, Europe, USA and Canada, Fiji, Vietnam and The Netherlands. I would love to see Fiji as I want to travel there eventually. When baby is older will you be doing online school or would you prefer that he/she settle and attend a normal school life and just travel once a year? I'd love to see a week by week pregnancy update, possibly a baby shower video and when bub is here a Week In The Life of New Parents? 😊 💕 Good luck. I've been subscribed since 2015 xx

Hi guys I've been silently watching for a year now and your Morocoo Vlogs really helped me when we planned our trip there. Anyway, I'm from the Philippines and if you do decide to go with the baby this year, I have a few suggestions on places to go to that are a bit more kid friendly. Panglao Bohol is a great spot-check the chocolate hills, tarsiers, loboc river cruise, and island tours. There's a new hotel there called BW Plus Ivywall and I saw a lot of traveling families there. Like literally I saw a Belgian backpacking couple with their two little boys. It reminded me of you! Also Siargao is a good spot as well. Stay at Nay Palad--a bit pricey but when we went there we talked to the staff and they did say they do a lot of collaborations with Content creators. Nay Palad is worth it because it's kid friendly and all inclusive even all activities whatever you want to do is included in the cost. That's the two places that are I think going to be great. Cheers!

You've so got this, Travelling with little kids is only a problem if you're not organised and experienced travellers, and you're obviously super organised and super experienced. We travelled when our boy was young and we have plenty of friends who travelled when their little ones were a few months old. Life is upside down and chaos with a new baby, so not so different from travelling, eh?
In terms of destinations, I'd love to see more SE Asia and the Middle East. Both are so good with kids. South America would be amazing too, but perhaps not for a bit ;)
Also, Expeditions? Count us in. Wherever you choose is fine by us.

  • @ShaneNixonFamily

We're a bit like you guys. Shared a life together, almost 20 years, before the kids came along. We weren't able to get back on the road till after the first one was older than 12 months but we did get back on the road. Travelling with kids is like seeing places for the first time again. It is better, it is different, and it can be challenging. But it is oh so rewarding. Now we have a 9 year old that can tick off her favourite things in a number of countries and a 6 year old that demands every single day that we go back to Japan again. Every single day. And recording it all on video is the best. I wish we had more than just a few blurry slides from when I was a kid but our kids will hopefully have something they can treasure when they're older. 😃
Love your work. Happy New Year!!!

Stay safe and good luck with baby girl. Make sure you follow the full Australian vaccine schedule. Your baby will definitely need a Measles Mumps Rubella vaccine and that isn't given until 12 months old so you will need to be extremely cautious when travelling. Xx

All i'll say about flying with a baby is for flights that don't provide a bassinette, look into getting a baby 'car-seat' that is approved for planes. so much better than having the baby sitting on your lap the whole flight, and so much safer than the baby belt. Some countries like usa don't allow those belts you have in australia and will allow baby to be unrestrained or in a baby-seat. you can get some that can be used for both car and plane, and even attach to a stroller..

Dear future parents: I have been following both of you for sometime and I like what and how you present your travels. Being future parents, there is only ONE thing that matters when the baby is born. Baby is first, first and first. Never give up, Never give up, Never give up. I do want to ask you about your travels, but now I cannot ask you these questions. I am hoping to do so in the near future. Sincerely, Michael Millán

Would loovvve if you could do a quick video on what to pack e.g. clothes, everyday items based on the season you're travelling in! I find it so hard to figure out how cold it is overseas and what clothes to wear in March when its turning into Spring in Europe! (Plus you can use footage from all of your past videos and run through different options!)

I think you guys are in a unique position to vlog about traveling with a baby/toddler. Many couples assume that once they have a baby, their traveling days are over. But what if you show parents how they can still travel but also bring baby/toddler along. This includes items that are (and are not) needed to make the trip easier and what are things to consider that may not be obvious. You can find an entirely new sponsor niche! Congrats and best of luck with all of your future endeavors!

People think we are crazy take kids on long flights and different places but you just make it work and it’s amazing memories we have with them. I think I've sent my idea to you before, maybe you could visit Guam... There's a LOT of history there and sights to see, and it is safe since it's where America's day begins, so basically, you'll be in the U.S. and of course, the sunsets are like no other in the world!! I was born there, and was never able to go back due to cost, so selfishly, I'd love to see it through your eyes. Thank you for all you do!! And good luck with the pregnancy! Not sure if you've watched another UA-camr called Mark Wolters. The channel is Wolters World. Mark and wife and 2 young kids travel frequently. Mark also has a full-time job at a university in the US.... in 10 years' time, I hope that you will be like the Wolters' family. You may not be able to travel as much because your kid(s) need to go to school, but you will still be able to travel and to keep a vblog. :)

I am glad you're both vaccinating. I love your travel videos. I'm an Aussie myself who enjoys travelling when I can. I do think maybe a bunch of Australian vlogs would be a great idea. Go to all the places WA has to offer your international subscirbers may not know about. Not just that but babies cannot get the MMR vaccine until 12 months old and it would be important that he/she gets that and has time for it to effective before any travelling internationally happens.

They could travel a lot until their kid is about four and then settle and enroll in school and do annual trips. Online school is good, but kids do need settling and a place to call 'home' too. Stability, etc. Travel is good but kids need a home and school with other kids. Just my opinion xx

I understand your reticence about naming the baby. My husband and wanted to name our first born from a name used in the family but weren’t sure which. As soon as our first son was born I recognised him as ‘Harry’ (after my Grandad). Ironically, he has inherited mostly my husband’s genes, whereas my second son Alec (named after one my husband’s grandfathers) seems to have inherited his genes from my side of the family. Doesn’t matter. Of course we love them both!

I'm SO excited for you both on the birth of your first child! I have one son and yes, the waiting is the hardest part....UNTIL the baby comes! ha Then prepare to get no sleep as I'm sure so many have told you. Taking those 3-4 months after your child is born will be precious to you and give you time for lots of rest and your baby to start sleeping through the night. You know what's funny? You hope and hope for those 6-8 hours of sleep for the baby but then....they eventually start sleeping 10-12 hours and you start MISSING those waking hours! ha Anyway.....off on a tangent.....have you thought about Bora Bora? It's on my bucket list. Hawaii is amazing (you could do a little island hopping and I would recommend both Maui and Kauai) and a GREAT last stop before heading home to nest and prepare for birth. Major cheers to both of you!! Teresa

Watching puppies, babies ( especially puppies and babies together lol) and of course travel is how I relax after stressful day at work. So please, bring it on! Seeing you in Hawaii would be pretty awesome as that's my home right now. Highly recommend heading to Kauai and exploring Na Pali Coast (either hiking or boating), just did it and it is by far my top experience in all of the Hawaiian Islands. Fiji and French Polynesia ain't too shabby either, always wanted to travel there so please take me along. Cheers!
