Thankyou! To say I had doubts this would work is an understatement. After trying what seemed like everything to get the window to operate normally after mechanic replaced it, I really did not think this would work. I had someone break into my car by smashing the window. Insurance replaced it but the installer did not glue the window into the brackets properly, and so the window separated from the regulator and mangled it all inside the door. A mechanic replaced the regulator and after he was unable to get the window to go up and down properly, took it to an auto electrician who also failed to fix it. After months of frustration and a nice sunny day outside I thought I’d give it one last shot. I came across your video after watching and trying the reset method using the switches, which did not work. Without having any previous luck I really didn’t think this was going to work, but gave it a go anyway. The whole job was easier than expected, taking just under 20 minutes to complete. My window glass was a bit harder to remove from the regulator as the mechanic had glued the brackets on the wrong way meaning the two bolts faced into the door panel 🤦♂️ but all in all a pretty straightforward fix. Thanks again, you have saved my sanity!
Thank you very much. None of any mechanic could fix the exact problem. I thought I should've to live with that and I was, for 5 years! Spend just 2 hours (most of which was taken for cleaning and oiling the mechanism) and problem has gone! Awesome video and very helpful!
Thank you. This works. I didn't think it would, but it did. Running the motor, detached from the regulator, for four seconds just sounded too imprecise. With a 10mm socket, phillips screwdriver, and a T25 hex driver this took a little over an hour-not including the time I spent watching your video and a couple other videos about removing the door panel, removing the window, and replacing the run channel. Thank you again!
Thank you Sir , this was exactly the video I was looking for. I have to replace it in Lexus LX 470 , and they are pretty same. Zama Khyal dey chay taso Pukhtana yee. Dera Manana
Dear Kamran, Thank you for this useful video. I have the same car as well, and the same problem in the back door. Do I do the same steps and use the main key or the door key itself?
Hello dear, thank you for your assistance to fix our lovely old landcruisers worldwide. Appreciated. I have a toyota landcruiser j100, model 2004 AHC problem front side down to low and rare too High:( What shall we do? All 4 globes checked (pencil test) OK, leaking one rare Shock changed new, Fluid removed all and replaced and bleed 5 spots . Somebody please say something else which couse bumping rare side . HELP 😢
Check the front height sensor close to the front shock inside the wheel well might need some adjustment. Click on this link to see what it looks like images.app.goo.gl/bFKfAhDEJNPPodPK9
@CrazyforCruiser I know very well those front sensors , and already checked. But not tested with any means. What do you mean by checking? Connection is OK and no external damage. The adjustment is as it was for years. Does it need new adjustment there for solving the issue? But the display light sometimes flash " OFF " after two/three trials to push up...then no more functional unless engine off and new start ...
I am currently out of town for work, so I can’t give you a solid answer, and what to look for without checking the factory service manual. Go to ih8mud website and post a question in 100 series LC and someone will help you. Or you can check the Factory Service Manual yourself by clicking on this link. lc100e.github.io
Thankyou!
