I think that he is so popular in the Arabic and Middle Eastern (regardless of cheating) that this documentary will have plenty of success. Maybe all of this cheating stuff is more accepted in sports in those countries. I don't know....
@@FlyingInOhio-nw9nw So, you believe a tiger can change its stripes? As squash fans, together, let's see how this plays out over the coming months. Personally, under pressure, our instincts kick in. I don't believe it will be that simple for him to change his ways...
Yall in the comments sounding so affected by something that hardly affects ur life lol. Hes a great player. Albeit dangerous and slightly shady. Squash is , in a sense, a bit like rugby, where on the field you're enemies but off you share a beer. Asal , is extremely talented and that in itself needs to be harnessed. The rubbish and on court antics is the fault of his coaches not correcting early enough. He's being punished financially for his antics and that will translate into better behaviour in the near future. Admittedly, Farag, Coll, Elias are classical and gentlemanly in their approach but , please, let not discard the talent that lies before us.
With so many stories of improvement, effort and respect, the documentary of the most controversially unsportsmanlike person seems like a decision based more on controversy than justice. Promoting sport under the umbrella of these characters is a very bad idea.
LOL’ing at all the babies crying on here about this! My God, grow a pair. You never hear such whining from any other sport fans. Hell, the squash players don’t even whine about Asal - they go out and try to beat him. Meanwhile, it’s the most watched SquashTV video ever. Asal is a young man still trying to figure things out AND doing what it takes to indeed get better - hiring the right people in his corner, cutting down in the excessive celebrations after matches, and checking with his opponents after the match to make sure they’re cool with his play. To say he hasn’t made strides would be straight up bias. To not give the kid a freaking break and go out of your way to bash him for past indiscretions is cowardly, and frankly more egregious considering most of you (I assume) are fully developed adults.
I'd like everyone to read an article on squash mad by Andy whipp , it's about Asal. It's non biased break down of his squash character and I think it's written incredibly well. He also has some solutions and yes he doesn't call him a cheat and explains why
Thanks for the heads up. I just read it and that's an excellent article that accurately describes what's going on. What he missed though was all of the after game BS that MA goes for if he wins, screaming, ripping his shirt off, jumping on walls, etc. Its like rubbing it in the opponent's face. Can you imagine Federa, Farag or Gawad doing that? Its horrible ego driven behaviour which when mixed with his intentional foul play is hideous to watch as a squash fan.
Article is pretty cringy tbh. Far too kind and tolerant in its assessment, And heavily biased towards everybody working together to make Asal a great future representative of the sport bc of his talent. Not at all representative of how people actually feel about his behavior. No one should help him, other than to call out his BS and severely punish his deliberate blocking.

Hahaha. Excellent idea. Make a doc on the guy thanks to whom numerous squash fans have stopped or curtailed watching the sport.
This being made is a slap in the face to all the humble players out there who don’t cheat. What were Squash TV thinking!?
Thanks @squashtv for reminding me not to renew my squash tv subscription
Why would you promote Asal. Just why. Its no promotion to Squash for sure...
Crazy to make a doc on this guy.. 😮
Make a doc on Farag Gawad or Coll and see how many positive comments you will get
How much did his PR company pay you to make this? I will never watch this disrespectful cheater.
The most unfair player
and hence i unsuscribed. great job squash tv !
I can’t wait to not watch any of this
Another reason not to give money to Squash TV!
They should have made one on the khans or some other retired legend like willstrop or ramy, rather than a cheater like asal

But your looking at the past, Asal doesn’t cheat as much but if he does it’s in very little quantities, he has played way more fair games now

Never renewing my squast tv membership again.

Raging bullshit.
Dude is not even playing squash due to ban from unfair plays...

But they could make a doc on Diego, Gawad, Shirbini, or Gohar. They’re also world champions
