Gaga set the bar for female artists back in 09' because once she started becoming a fashion icon in 08' all the others tried to be more extreme and tried to top her. she also set the bar performance wise now all these female artists are trying to be more theatrical which is a good thing because it makes the performance more interesting, so i feel she's had a positive affect on the music industry
