Why is there not a link in the description to the products in this video!? Tried searching on your website for temporary double glazing but couldn't find any. If you reply you might still keep my business...
I am not getting one thing about how that temp glazing film was applied to that windows. Is it not possible to open the window anymore once you apply the film to the entire window frame? Trying to figure out how to use this on sash windows in my case but I dont want to get the windows shutted for the entire winter, still want to be able to open and air the apartment.
@@Different_sensations No, I never bought it, I just removed and reinstalled the brushes stripes to adhere closer to the sashes, on one of the windows I even removed the actual beed and placed it closer to the sash as it was quiet wobbly, that came really well, gained probably 4-5 degrees in the room. I also used that rubber strip but on non sash window, more similar to the one in this video.
I imagine you don't need to cover the whole window - you could just cover the individual sections and then you could still open the windows. Hope that helps and makes sense.
Is the tape that holds it supposed to be double sided? Because the kit i bought from B&Q is only single sided, it sticks to the door one side, but the film will not stick to the tape on the other making it completely useless.
This is the window video and no, it doesn't look double sided to me. You'd want one side to be sticky to stick somewhere and then the other side to meet up against the window when closed. You wouldn't want to be attempting to stick the window closed, just close a gap to stop draughts getting through.
Simple, all you need is some foil wrap and a heat gun. Just make sure to wrap all your house around, heat it with the gun and voilà! Perfect, sealed for winter, job done!
Whats the deal with window handles and the insulation film? I have PVC double glazing and the lock handles stick out further than the frame
Hi there, as long as the film is pressed against all edges of the frame, you will still get the same effect. I hope this helps!
How do I know which size tape i need?
Hi there, tape will be provided with the temporary double glazing sheet 😊

Did you try this and is it sorted as I'm in the same situation

Exactly my issue with this solution. It's absolutely bad not to be able to air the rooms. And then people wonder why they get mould.

Thank you :)
Is the tape applied on the external frame (outside) or internal frame (inside the home) of the window?
Hi, Aarti. The draft excluder tape is applied to the internal window frame (inside the home). Hope this helps! 😊
Any tips for sky light hatch?
Hi Nicholas, the same methods would apply 😊
What about windows that open outwards?
Hi Claire, the same method would apply 😀
😂 👋 we're over here!
You should reconsider making this video again B&Q. That's a terrible instructional video. Just not enough detail.
Can't tell if you're joking or not.
Seems fine to me.
Couldn’t of said it better myself!
It's much easier to understand than the instructions you get with the clingfilm
Siri could you tell me how do I block air coming from a sliding glass door
