In this video, Jeff Ogle of Radiant Roofing and Contracting talks with local insurance agent Hondo Salgado about how to file an insurance claim after a storm.
There are a lot of questions after a storm. To start, if you have had a storm, don’t start by calling the 800 number for your insurance provider. By doing so, you start a claim and this claim may not be necessary. The best thing to do is to start by calling your agent. This allows the homeowner to ask their agent any questions they may have. It also allows the agent to ask questions as well.
From there, you will work with a local roofing company to go out and assess the roof. A quality roofing company will take pictures to document any damage that is found. If damage is found, that inspection along with photos can be provided to the insurance adjuster to make the claim process as smooth as possible.
