Its fair to say streaming for 9 hours will drain you, but hasan is choosing to do it for that long and earning so much more money than people with regular jobs that have no say in how long they can work for. He could easily stream for less hours a day and do something else to make up for the money lost or just deal with having less income if its that draining

he was just explaining how low his social battery was and couldn't interact w ppl at a party (& drinking a little bit of alcohol made him feel drunk already so he left not to be a dick). if it was something he wanted to change, he knows he could, but he himself said it many times how much he loves streaming, it just comes with a downside. he himself advocates for workers rights all the time, so its kinda crazy to "cancel" him for explaining what 9 hours of streaming does to him socially.

I’m sorry, but the discussion about streaming vs real jobs and social battery made me physically sick…
Not all “real jobs” are office jobs. I work in a nursery, which means for 9 hours each day I am responsible for the lifes and the wellbeing for up to 30 babies and toddlers. After hours of being overstimulated, changing diapers, cleaning up puke and putting out fires you still have to look presentable and be cheerful for the parents picking up their kids…
there are just lots of real jobs which take a much bigger toll on your social battery than streaming, like teachers, nurses, servers in the food industry, etc.

i think hasan was being ignorant. what he said just isnt true. a "real job" will suck the life out of you like he claims streaming does. hes allowed to complain but why start comparing?? it sounded a lot like he was saying "my job is much harder than all of your jobs" which is just not true. he also has the privilege to take a break from his job and not have to worry about finances. when people get money they get so disconnected from reality 🤦

    • @shushunk00
      @shushunk00 3 місяці тому +3

The chat he pulled up was comparing
So Hasan replied to that chatter.
      Comparing doesn't equal equating.
Also Hasan does 8 hour constant people pleasing and even after that that is not over ,he has to work and do research what is going on in the world.
About breaks ,there is a contract with twitch that he has to fulfil
Also Hasan have managed to force twitch to give him the lowest ad slot for his viewers so that they don't have to buy subs to watch him unlike other major streamers ,
But downside to that modified contract is that hasan has to stream a certain amount of hours so that the lower no. If ad slots he has requested can be fulfilled.
Also he works with unions donated huge amounts of money and educated workers(viewers of his) to be very class conscious, organize their workplace.
People who are complaining about hasan 's way of speech have anti-worker ,pro capitalist beliefs.
He doesn't have to take any type of criticism from those losers
      .

Anyone who says they're themselves alllll the time is lying [or a robot]. There are very few people each individual can _truly_ feel like they can be themselves around, and that's what makes those relationships/people so dang special, I think! Anyway, I hope you don't feel too alone in your struggle.. most of us are doing it too. I know I am! At least everyone with anxiety, anyway (and that's gotta be like.. most people at this point, right?). yeah lol, I'm surprised he didn't see that coming. It seems that he has a bad case of caveman brain (one would need to in order to think such an absurd plan could ever work), but even the caveman brain can understand the stereotype of "women often care for the sick/injured" and notice that the plan is likely to go horribly wrong. Because like you said, in reality any decent person would be worried about their partners well-being, not care that they were "less masculine" or whatever. Just ridiculous😂

I used to consider myself a metal head, and I really loved and still do enjoy extreme metal, although I'm not nearly as gung-ho about it as I used to be, and I don't listen to metal nearly as much as I used to. Animal carcasses are very common in black metal and some death and doom metal, too. You should look into one of the oldest black metal bands Mayhem and the crazy shit they did. May their mentally ill vocalist rest in peace. His corpse is on one of their album covers, The Dawn Of The Black Hearts. It's a sad story, and I wouldn't advise looking at the album cover. The album itself sounds like it was recorded with a toilet, as is customary with black metal.

Hasan is way off beat by gatekeeping which jobs cause mental and social exhaustion. Try working in any department of any company with 5000+ employees. It's constant social over-stimulation between meetings, emails, events, bonding activities, volunteer initiatives, collaborative work, overly-detailed planning processes, excessively scrutinizing middle managers, etc, etc.
At least 80% of all jobs give you the same fatigue he is describing and it is a bit out of touch. It's OK for him to be wrong, we don't need to cancel Hasan for a gaff.

The things that one should or should not say in each role differ accordingly.

I think ppl should get more use to calling out their fav content creators if they disagree. I'm not much an avid Hasan watcher but I pretty much agree with everything he says but I actually do think he's a bit of a champagne socialist. I think even Kurtis needs to evaluate more about the kind of sponsors he takes becuz he's been taking money from Israeli backed companies. From what I understand about this Hasan thing is that he was making the point that content creators have a rough job as much as ppl who work normal jobs, which I agree with. The troll guy is clearly just a Hasan hater but the reason normal ppl agree with it is becuz ppl don't distinguish Labor from Work. I'm a garbage man, I don't mind my job, it's got a union and all but it's labor and it's purely for a paycheck. What Hasan and Kurtis here does is akin to Work, which is still labor intensive, it's just something most creators enjoy doing. Nobody's labor is more/less meaningful than the others.

Being a camgirl is like that too (from like 2001-2015). I've been a brewer and a framer, lifeguard/pool manager and a bunch of other jobs and I can tell you that streaming has been by far the easiest but if it was my job it would still feel like work. Like for example I like computers and writing code and whatnot, but when I did that for work I quickly stopped doing it for fun, because it just... _wasn't_ anymore. Luckily it became fun again when I changed jobs :) Anyway yeah, I could imagine that the same thing could happen with human interaction when one is a streamer 🤷‍♂
