No. It does not. I've read that it does NOT work well at all on the iPad 1, but anything later and you should be good. You can even change the graphics a bit to get it to run better. I have the iPad 3 and runs fine with all the space graphics on.
Thanks you just made up my mind. I just bought an ipad and I have always wanted to play the board game. No one in my game group would want to play the board game. So now I downloaded the game and I will play it all I want. Great review. :)

I haven't. I normally review board games, and have been doing a couple of iOS versions of them recently.
Looks very good. I'd like a chance to play Eclipse more often.
Now, I just have to buy an iPad. I own a Nexus 7 now.
