- Brandon came flying through after a downwinder and linked up with me on his first time surfing this spot. Showed him how to get in but he missed the keyhole so I showed him the other way in. This spot is super sketch to foil but was stoked to have a buddy join me. Been surfing this spot since keiki kine times, through all the different boards, and in the end, the foil is the one. Close in second would be the alaia. Put in about four years surfing alaia here. Nice to try and catch up on lost wave riding time for all that sacrifice with the wooden board. We're patient out there waiting for just the right ones and even then, the reef often times, keeps you from playing. Can't wait to get back out there. As always, another swell is on the way.
Filmed by Pasha. Riding Carbon Takuma Kujira 1210 with a Kane 13" stab. Board is from Robin Johnston; 4' 28L "Filipino Falcon".
10-15 years ago I spent two months in Honolulu in summer and surfed all the Waikiki spots. That was my favorite one by far. I particularly enjoyed it on my best surfboard ever, a very thin 8.6 Keola Rapoza. Might have to fly over from Maui on the right day and foil it now! Cheers and thanks for the video. I truly love that spot.
If you do, let me know! Would love to share the zone. Most people are scared shtlss to foil there.
Yea!!!! I like learn how to foil.!! But don’t know wea to start? What size and foil wings to used? Mahalo’s 🤙🏼
As someone thats tried pumping on flat water for a minute, this is just amazing.
This is inspirational. Tomorrow I will try my first attempt on foiling.
Great style! You make it look effortless. My legs burning just watching. Wondering what kind of board you're riding? Custom?
Long pump back out at the end!!! Such smooth riding 🤙 And Alan Watts ftw!!

Badass Hayn!
Wonderful!
Thank you! Cheers!
Which brand ? Which setup ? Thanks !
That looks like a kujira, the 1210? But the stab looks different? God I want to be able to catch a wave like that on a prone board. Someday.
Yes I think it's all carbon.
1210, All carbon except the tail which is a Kane deWilde 13" you can get directly from him via IG. @kdmaui.
@@KahiPacarro thanks! So how is it better than the takuma? Less drag?
