I was hitting huge jumps today on my 01 ttr 225. Cleared a 15’ tabletop and more. Im 230 lbs and it did bottom out when i didnt make the landing but it held up great
I was going to get a 225 but got the ttr250. Much more suspension travel. The ttr225 seems like it is just not enough suspension up front to hit some jumps
im thinking about getting one will i fit comfortably i am 5 foot 4 i dont mind growing inti the bike but the audio sounds great on this vid what do you use
lava dawg 42 i made a video on my diy go pro chin mount that is what i was using with no mic and the bike is great but my only complaint is that it is very heavy but when i got the bike i was 5 foot 6 i am now 5 10 and the bike is a little short for me so if you dont care about growing into a bike i would get it the seat 34 in off the ground if you wanted to know about how long your legs should be and thanks for commenting
Elias Black this was 3 years back. Never ended up with another trail 4 stroke air cooled bike since then. I’ve got a kdx220 and a crf450x now. After riding the 230 that was my buddies thank god I didn’t get one
Why is it that every TTR video on youtube the rider is riding so slow? You can't find one TTR video of the bike riding fast. Are they really that slow?
Micscience they are slow and heavy and aren’t meant go fast like suspension wise but the are very reliable and are pretty good at climbing just about anything you point them at but yeah they definitely aren’t like an Mx bike they are like dual sport bikes except not street legal 😂
@@nickurban8549 I'm sure they have some grunt though. I just notice people on youtube riding them them seem to go easy. I'm not mocking the bike at all. I'm sure they are some what fast.
WOW some people are so dumb.. IMAGINE THAT!. Hey buddy think of it like this you have a faster jumpier bike that needs alot more work / attention / maintenance to it. And you have a slower not wild thrash per say bike that doesnt need much maintenance.... Take your pic and shut the hell up DUUUURRRRR.. i love trail bike IMO
They aren’t slow. I beat a honda crf 150r and im 230 lbs on a 01 225. Couldnt believe it, we were probably close to 70 mph on a straightaway, he was hitting the rev limiter and i cruised right by him

that's funny I brought my ttr to an mx track and jumped it a few times, after that it never ran the same again.

I am a heavier rider and my ttr handles great but no jumps for it. The thing is a heavy bike and not good for supermoto at all
