I have used both gimbals for a while now. There’s one big feature that you failed to mention about the weebill s that is a giant plus for the gimbal. You can adjust the motors, smoothness, and responsiveness on the gimbal itself. While the ronin s only allows you to do that on the app, the weebill s allows you to do that on the gimbal. It even does an auto tune for all the motors. Still a great review, but it seems like a lot of problems you had with the weebill s could of been fixed by just fixing the motor speeds and responsiveness on the gimbal.
hey Mike, thanks for honest review, webell s gimbal i was looking for long, bz of his handling and ground shots, but can u plz answer my two question ? is it easy to mount camera in and out without consuming time and will it take weight of cameras like sony a7siii with 85mm lens weight.
@@sandeshshetty-Artist honestly, I sold that gimbal off a year ago. There are sooooooo many better gimbals on the market that are better than the ronin s and the weebill s. the weebill s does not have a great payload and cant handle very heavy set ups. I would recommend going more the crane 2s, the weebill 2, or the ronin rsc 2. all will be better gimbals that will future proof you way way way way more.

You didn't compare batteries. Ronnin S has a proprietary battery and the Weebill S has 18650 batteries that you can swap out. You also didn't compare screens which the Weebill S has one and the Ronnin S is a paid add on. Weight is a big win for the Weebill S as it weighs a lot less than the Ronnin S. You didn't compare any of the accessories that are available for either gimbal. I think you made this video to give the win to your favorite gimbal, which is fine, we all have our preferences.
The screen is totally not something that you need considering the great app the Ronin has I think! Accessories is something you can buy for either gimbal and has nothing to do with the gimbal it self right :). Battery wise, both gimbals are great but the many times I've used the Ronin I've never ran out of juice even after a full day of shooting. The Weebill S however does not last as long!
@@PeterLindgren1 as many times as I've used a gimbal i rarely connect it to the app. A lot of run and gun shooting is done with out the app and the screen makes it very helpful for changing settings on the fly. Having back up batteries is important when traveling. Both gimbals do offer accessories but not the same ones like the transmission module for the Weebill S (which I own) is amazing and I don't believe DJI offers anything like that at all.
Two factors which goes in Weebill's favor, which can be added to the fantastic comparison above is : 1. battery life/ charging etc 2. And the small LED panel in the gimbal.. Both gimbals have their pros and cons but you can live with them.. The DJi wins due to its software and Zhiyun due to its underslung mode - choose whichever you require more..
Agree with the verdict. I got the weebill S because I wanted the power with portability option. Not as refined as the Ronin S, but a lot more lite and I love underslung mode. Great video!
Okay 2 things wrong with this video. You have position hold on for the weebill s also there’s an auto calibration on the weebill s without having to use the app.

Hi Peter, Am a recent sub and like what you’re doing. I have the Ronin S and recently added the Weebill S and agree with everything you said in the video. I’ll only add the following: - Ronin S hands down has the build quality and app which helps with the smoothness of the filming and being able to be a one person crew. Glad they gave the same motion features added on SC. The con to this is the weight but I rigged it up so I can put a strap and handle for underslung and can shoot all day with no pain. I use it for paid work and mostly on heavy setup with my S1H and tele lenses. For keeping the axis locked, just get some velcro straps and that you can strap on and off quickly. - Weebill S is great for lightweight setup and also handle some weight (much better than the Weebill lab which I use for smaller setups and even for gopros/360 cams where you want smooth panning with horizons leveled). Get the transmission system (TX + RX + remote) and it will unlock this gimbal. Seeing your shooting style, you can do some great creative shots away from the gimbal and controlling it. For example, you can mount the gimbal onto your car/truck and use the remote to control the shots or do timelapses inside car/truck without being outside freezing in winters. Also have you looked at the JibOne which allows a lot of creative possibilities.
Actually the Weebill S has an "autotune" option built in and you dont even need the app for that. just go to the menu by pressing down -> motors -> auto. Wouldn't recommend it, since you can finetune all the diffrent axis of the gimbal straight out of the menu the gimbal offers by itstelf. By doing that, you get very smooth movements and you don't even need the app for that, so the app is kinda redundant (The app really does suck a lot). When you finetune the settings for the Weebill S, i think that it is very stalbe ;) (Finetuning takes a bit of thime though) Also the Weebill S has position holding on force ;) maybe that's the reason it didn't resist? ;) (I think its a great feature for quick adjustments fot diffrent angles!)
Hmmm-m, how you can compare Weebill S to Ronin S? First: You have to compare Weebill S to Ronin SC(smaller from DJI)... Second: I clearly can see, you are shaking Weebill S harder on Sport mode and mobile Follow mode. Am i right?
I love your videos man! You always have the content I'm looking for. Like this one for example I was trying to decide between the Zhiyun and DJI. Thanks for all that you do!

@@farukeminkaba6166 Hi, I have not tested this kit, but there is no reason that it cannot stabilize an A7III with a TAMRON 28-75mm f / 2.8 whose weight and size in place remain very correct. The Ronin S is well liked by many videographers, but so is the Weebill S. Yikes, though-what is up with how rough you are with these incredibly complex and delicate gimbals!!! I used to have a girlfriend who was rough with all of her electronics and I would wince when I would see her slamming them around. You definitely take risks with these abrupt and jarring movements in damaging electronic equipment. By the way, I don't have either gimbal, but the Weebill S is approximately $200 less than the Ronan S's $550 price tag on Amazon, not $100 less (it is selling for around $330) if you buy it new on Ebay. Again, thanks for an interesting video!
Thanks Peter. Will the Weebill S stabilization work together with in-body camera stabilization or do you have to turn off one or the other? I don't see how in-camera stabilization and gimbal stabilization can communicate and work together.

Nice comparison! You can auto calibrate weebil S from the gimbal menu itself. In-fact, you can adjust probably all gimbal settings from the gimbal menu. I don't even use the app at all for weebil S.
2:13 The Weebill S is not made to give resistance when pushed. It's a feature where you can adjust your framing without using joystick or damaging the motors.
Been waiting for this comparison. Please add Ronin SC to the comparison. Torn between Ronin SC and Weebil S: which one to go for? PS: please be gentle with the gimbals, it hurts the eyes!
great! i just get weebill s...i came from ronin sc and i have a question... if i shoot at pov or go mode and i want instantly to lock on a subject for some seconds and then pov again, how i do that? i mean , at the ronin i was just pushing the trigger and locks, here trigger is to follow... how i do that??
Ok so Weebill s unless you film F1racing and need to move your gimble like a crazy person or you have a huge padded bag where your stuff doesn't move all over. How durable would that be for someone who travels with there gimbal a lot? I'd be worried it would get damaged in transit moving around like that and for the money I feel like locks should be included more importantly over app features.
I went with the weebill S for the big price gap (its regularly 329 on ebay for a new one for some reason) and since I shoot a lot of jiu jitsu so im in underslung mode for at least half the time. DJI is the king of app integration but luckily I can auto tune and fine calibrate directly on the Weebill S so I don't need to mess with the app at all. I feel like the Ronin S is the better choice still for professional work but the Weebill S is still very capable of that as well.

I need a lightweight professional gimbal for Real Estate videography with Sony ZV-E10 16-50mm ket lens or any ultra wide angle lens, please suggest which gimbal will be the best choice for my work ?
this seems like a lazy review to me :/
Same
This seems like, this guy used for the very first time the weebil s and said let's create a comparison (is obvious that he doesn't know how to use the weebil s)
great video! i think I'm going to go with he ronin for what ill be using it for and and starting up my business
Great review mate👍🏻Hope soon you will compare also Ronin SC with some of the gimbals 😉Hi from Stockholm🇸🇪
Great video !!! Can u suggest a quick release plate for ronin s ???
And this video which quick release plate you used ???
Can you suggest some backpack which can take DSLR + 2 lenses + Mavic Air 2 and Weeebil S?
Does WEEBILL-S work with canon EOS 77D?
yes it does. I have a Weebil s and i use it with a heavy setup of a nikon z6ii and the natie 24-60 2.8S lens.
I hear 🐓 are excellent stabilisers
I like Zhiyun way better.....but they really need to work on their app....DJI's is WAAAAY better. The Ronin S is just so big and clunky.
Couldn't agree with you more. DJI also for me!
Would my Sigma 18-35 fit on the Ronin S with my Canon m50?
Sometimes i felt you handling both gimbals like nunchakus, no doubt both are great weapon
I enjoy your videos but this is one of the most biased reviews I've seen thus far. It is clear as a day your mind was made up long before you compared these gimbals. But I appreciate what you do. Keep up the great work. Thanks.
Hahhahahaaa! Just funny seeing you throwing the gimbals all over the place!
Nice comparison! You can auto calibrate weebil S from the gimbal menu itself. In-fact, you can adjust probably all gimbal settings from the gimbal menu. I don't even use the app at all for weebil S.
thanks! I didn't know that. I'm usually using the app for everything!
Wanted to see these 2 compare btw each other!!! Thanks Peter!!! hope to see more comparison by you! Like Sony A6400 vs Canon M6 ii.
2:13 The Weebill S is not made to give resistance when pushed.
It's a feature where you can adjust your framing without using joystick or damaging the motors.
Awesome, didn't know that! The ronin does have way more power in the motors though!
1:27 I see so much Casey Neistat in this video lol I like it!
Thanks for the review Peter, good insights.
One question, would the DJI Ronin be able to function with a microphone on the camera?
im using weebill s...i kinda like the size..thanks bro
Thanks Peter very helpful this video.
This guy seems to ignore important features of Zhiyun intentionally ...!
Been waiting for this comparison.
Please add Ronin SC to the comparison. Torn between Ronin SC and Weebil S: which one to go for?
PS: please be gentle with the gimbals, it hurts the eyes!
Myself I have a ronin-sc and it works amazing even for heavy camera gear!
great! i just get weebill s...i came from ronin sc and i have a question...
if i shoot at pov or go mode and i want instantly to lock on a subject for some seconds and then pov again, how i do that?
i mean , at the ronin i was just pushing the trigger and locks, here trigger is to follow...
how i do that??
Awesome video! I’m going to end up getting one of these after I get paid for some freelance work then I’ll have a full kit👍🏼
The weebill s has an autotune function ? is that what you said was missing?
If talking about smoothness, which one is better?
Peter keep growing man
I went with the weebill S for the big price gap (its regularly 329 on ebay for a new one for some reason) and since I shoot a lot of jiu jitsu so im in underslung mode for at least half the time. DJI is the king of app integration but luckily I can auto tune and fine calibrate directly on the Weebill S so I don't need to mess with the app at all. I feel like the Ronin S is the better choice still for professional work but the Weebill S is still very capable of that as well.
Will either work with D3400?
What's your thought's (from just what you've seen alone) on the new zhiyun crane 3S that was annouced a few days ago
I'm getting it as a loaner to the office soon enough so i'll make sure to test it out thoroughly before i do a review on it!
@@PeterLindgren1 ooo, looking forward to that, gonna be interesting having a gimbal that can actually hold my ursa that dosent cost just as much as the camera itself
Nice comparison! Maybe you can do a comparison between te Weebill S and the Ronin SC instead of the Ronin S? These are more equal in pricing.
Helo. My dslr body doesn't have image stabilisation. I'm using nikon d3400 now and wanna try it with weebill.. Can i get the smooth footage just like in the video? Please help meeeeeee😭😭😭😭
Nayss video soon i will buy that Ronin S heheh
