Yes, there are variations of the poem: one has 'unsown' and one 'half-sown'. I was using my edtion at home when making the video, which has 'unsown' but the AQA Anthology has 'half-sown'. Either way, they both suggest something that has been interupted and unfinished because of the war.
The trick is not to think of them all as mutually exclusive; form, structure, language, imagery etc. all make up the same poem. If the question is about language, discuss how the language suits the poetic form, how it fits in to the structure. The form of Futility is a variation of a sonnet, does Owen use language appropriate to that form? The poem is structured in to two distinct stanzas, does the language vary as the poem progresses. Language creates imagery and tone so it should be more straightforward for you to make the connections.
In the literature exam we need to talk about the affects of the language so I was wondering if anyone could think of any ideas for the effects of blunt language or for having the title as a single word? Btw your videos are so helpful thank you!
you are a legend, thank you so much I've watched all your videos and they have helped me a lot for my assessment booklet :)

Thanks for the support. I really need these videos to prepare for my English exam. But there's one problem with the poem. It is "half-sown" not unsown

If the question asks specifically about language, to what detail do you talk about form, structure etc...?
