Holy shit !!! That's probably the best video I've seen in a long-long time... Great footage, amazing flying skills, superb training. Thumbs up for all of you involved ! Greetings from Greece.
I don't get it. Why is everyone complaining about the music? This is the best video out there. He didn't have to put it out there but he did. Jolly_ Pilot you done a great job!!!!!
Rest assured you helped PAVE the way to what these cats do these days and beyond. On the wrong side of Heaven and the Righteous side of hell everyday just like the song in this video. Thank you for your service my Brother.
Shoot I did my helo training in high desert in Utah (civilian) and they warned us about brownouts on approach all the time but that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up sitting in bed watching it. Amazing!
Jolly, please never get out of the military, willingly man. I didn't get to finish my retirement plan due to an injury and I was not in nowhere as awesome of an MOS as this. I was 13BP with 18th Airborne at Ft. BRAGG.. I miss it daily man....it drives me crazy to be honest, could of retired this year.
Records, directing and songs... All of them are beautiful. In terms of the subject may not reach too many subscribers, but a very high quality channel. Congratulations!!
Did 2 rotations to the 'Bouti. Once as avionics and second time as Jolly FE. Getting settled into Lemonnier sucks, but once you're there, man I honestly didn't mind those deployments.
@@vientayuno934 thank you, I really appreciate that, I'm going to be doing 5 years of university and I'm in not sure if I will because my eyesight has gotten a bit worse but it's still within standards.....but only time will tell. :)

Got some balls man to jump in that water in the Horn of Africa with the Great Whites that swim in there and at dawn is the start of there super time. Hell no bro I’m all good homie. Thanks
Looks like Camp Lemonier at HDAM and the flying in the backyards of Djibuti, confirm? Been there several times during my deployments as a Sonaroperator Sea Lynx Mk88A on board German frigates. Flying in the backyards were fun. Low and fast, inbound for goat bursting, haha. To fly is human, to hover is devine.

@@russellwilliams4317 Haha yes I know, that's why I said somewhat clean...obviously the interior is never gonna be pristine if the helicopter is in active duty!
Love the visuals, had to hit the mute button to kill the soundtrack. Have to say I'm glad that most uploaders now realize that people want to hear the sound of the choppers, jets, etc. and not a bangin soundtrack.
Best military on earth? We have amazing tech and do indeed have aspiring soldiers climbing the ranks, but we no longer have an 'experienced' military. Anyone with experience left during and after the Iraq war, due to leadership and unnecessary deaths. Which left new recruits lacking the 'pass-it-on' experience they would have gained from Iraq war veterans. After every war, experienced soldiers would stay and train new recruits and the cycle would repeat, hence 'pass-it-on'. We are lacking that and the distrust with military leadership has utterly destroyed confidence. So, no not the best anymore. 10 years ago, yes.
If there's a criticism to this video AT ALL, it would be that I would prefer to hear the radio comms dialogue between the guys instead of music. That way you can truly get the full drama of the situation.
Most likely just for that, you only need harnesses to keep you tucked in, quicker access as well. I think it's not usually needed other than for training exercises and such either. "The vast majority of the time I leave the doors open because 1) it is cooler in hot weather, 2) it is impressive to the passengers and I am a stuck up prima donna, and 3) I like the view."
Great job, nice footage, and i have a question: why do helicopters taxing around airport (or should I call it airbase?)? I mean, it's clear why planes do, but helicopters? And how should wheelless helicopters act if taxiing is necessary for every aircraft?
I think it is mostly because it is just safer to take off a helicopter further from the airbaise facillities such as hangars, ground personnel and so on. If they apply full thrust right in their stand, there could be some debris or something that could harm people on the ground. Aircrafts also dont apply full thrust after pushback while taxiing. They apply full thrust only on places where it should be done a these places are runways of course. Helicopters without wheels use so called hoover taxi, if it is neccesary to move them arroud. It is basically slow flight less than 25 feets above ground, which means that they dont have to apply much power from the engine.
Does the door mounted .50 cal have an adjustable rate of fire? I've seen some videos where it fires at a much slower rate than it does here, and others where it fires much faster.
Bro you forgot to tip the gas station attendant. He even cleaned your windows dude!
they are crew chiefs, they are with the hellos, good joke tho.

why do rotor wings have to taxi like that?
Why does Blackhawk have to open the driver's door?
how else should they get into their seats. Smash the front window?(i'm being sarcastic.) idk

That's actually not intentional, different guns have different rates due to tolerance and maintenance differences. Good catch!

What does the green footprints mean? i've seen it several times
It goes back to Vietnam and the HH-53 "Jolly Green" giant. The 'green feet' come from the PJ being lowered down to the survivor!
