Hi Zachary. I finally bought the MT-03+MB20 option. Just one question--what's the size of the allen screws used on the MT-03 so that I'll know what allen screwdriver size I need to buy to tighten its screws should it loosens over time. Thank you.
Nice review. It seems a good option for small tripod. Im using Ulanzi MT-24 for a year now, there isn't much features other than be small and light. The good thing it is sturdy and I can carry it inside my backpack. Kind regards
To be frank I'm not sure about the purpose of the LS-223c range. Either you get a mini tripod like the MT-04, light, compact, agile, can be used to hang on uneven surfaces like a railing, or you get a full size tripod. The LS-223c is not as compact, not as agile as a mini tripod, and not as tall as a full size tripod. It probably fulfils a very specific niche but I'd struggle to find a use-case for it in my line of work.
@@ZacharyLaiPhotography thank you! Very valid points! I think the LS-223c is great for macros, but I agree, most of that could be done with the MT-04 as well
Hi Zachary. Thanks for this review. Can you help me clarify about those screw thread sizes found on the legs and ball head bases of BOTH the MT-03 and MT-04? • The MT-03 Tripod base male screw thread size is 1/4" while the MT-04's is 3/8." • The MT-03's tripod legs female screw threads size is 1/4" and the MT-04's also 1/4." Are these the correct specifications? I tried to look for it everywhere on the net and I'm astounded as not one can just point them out and say, “THIS SCREW THREAD IS 1/4"," etc. etc. Thank You.
I compared my MT-03 and 04 to check this. MT-03 has 1/4" which connects to the base of the LH-25 ballhead which is 3/8". It came with a step-up adapter so that it'll fit. For the MT-04, it's already 3/8" to connect to the ballhead. Both the MT-03 and MT04 accessory sockets along their legs are 1/4". This fits with Leofoto's own extension arms. Hope that helps.
@@ZacharyLaiPhotography Yes! Thanks. I'm still contemplating which is more worth it as the MT-04 is quite heavy on the pocket especially with the LH-30 ball head. Now, if only someone could give a comprehensive ENGLISH language review of the Leofoto LY-224C as I couldn't find one anywhere whether UA-cam or from a website. I'm looking for an excellent Travel Tripod that's light and motivates me to bring it as my last tripod, the great Leofoto LX-254CT+XB-32, just gathered dust which was rarely used. Good thing I got to sell it at a decent price. BUT I do often bring a mini- /table- tripod so sometimes I think such would be a better investment for the long term.
Nice tripod 👍🏻👍🏻 This tripod has really good features, especially the extension holes and legs that can be extended. Too bad my Marsace mini tripod isn't that good 😢
@@ZacharyLaiPhotography Yes, unfortunately I only found out about this Leo Photo tripod brand in the last few years, and their tripod collection has many good ones. 👍🏻👍🏻
Correction: At 2:36 those are 1/4 size socket holes, not 3/8!

LeoFoto products are really underrated! I love the extension sockets and the ability to add accessories to both this and their full size tripods.
Great review, really nice tripod!
Would be interesting to see how it compares to the Leofoto LS-223c

Is there a cold shoe mount adapter sold for 3/8 to 1/4 ? My osmo pocket 3 has 1/4 mount and I want to use this tripod?
Yes there are such adapters. Ask your local camera store to buy one 😊

Nice review! I wonder how LeoFoto MT-04 fares for a few minutes of long exposure (e.g. Nikon mirrorless + UWA lens). Have you tried?
I do many long exposures with the MT-03 and UWA lens and it works perfectly. The MT-04 should perform as well 💪🏼
The MT-04 uses a 3/8” tripod screw, whilst the MT-03 uses 1/4”. So switching/upgrading may not be so simple depending on your gear.
That’s good to know!

I’ve heard great things about the Marsace brand before! Still prefer my LeoFoto though 😉
