  • Some chilled accoustic vibes for this sunset "Perpendicular Mandelbrot" Fractal Zoom. If you prefer to lift the tempo, feel free to play your own music. I've scuffed the edges of this one by adding a little noise. What you your thoughts?

So,... imagine at the very start,... the tiniest point in the image was 10,000 times the size of the entire observable universe and still by the end of it the last zoom state it stopped on was still smaller than the smallest known theoretical sub-atomic particles in existence.
    Wow.

Love the noisy palette effect. Looks like torn paper or frayed cloth, very organic. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

This is lovely. I especially like the trips into high detail and then out again. I see some chill but also some burn.

These are so relaxing, especially after the initial pang of anxiety that my phone is gonna blow up from all the rendering. Then I remember it's just a video like any other haha. Excellent choice of music as usual. I'm getting gothic cathedral vibes from this one, so the medieval guitar strumming felt perfect ❤

Creating a "Chilled Sunset" Perpendicular Mandelbrot Fractal zoom can be a visually stunning and complex process. The Mandelbrot set is a famous mathematical fractal that exhibits self-similarity and intricate detail at all levels of magnification. The term "Perpendicular Mandelbrot" usually refers to a variant of the Mandelbrot set where you explore its behavior in a different way compared to the traditional Mandelbrot set. Here's a simplified guide to creating such a zoom:
Note: Creating high-quality fractal zoom videos can be computationally intensive and time-consuming, and the specific steps may vary depending on the software you use. I'll provide a general outline of the process.
    1. Choose Fractal Software:
You can use specialized fractal generation software like Fractint, Mandelbulb 3D, or Mandelbrot Set Generators that allow for exploring the Perpendicular Mandelbrot set.
    2. Set Up the Parameters:
Define the initial parameters of your Perpendicular Mandelbrot fractal. These parameters include the coordinates of the region you want to zoom in on and the maximum number of iterations for the fractal calculations.
    3. Generate Keyframes:
Determine a series of keyframes for your zoom animation. These keyframes represent different zoom levels and positions within the fractal. You can start with a wide view and then gradually zoom in for the "Chilled Sunset" effect.
    4. Render the Animation:
Render each keyframe as a separate image. This will involve computing the Perpendicular Mandelbrot fractal for each frame, which can be time-consuming. The more frames you have, the smoother your animation will appear.
    5. Assemble the Animation:
Use video editing software to assemble the rendered images into a smooth animation. You can control the timing and transitions between frames to create the desired "chilled sunset" effect. Consider adding color gradients or filters to achieve the sunset-like appearance.
    6. Add Music or Sound:
Enhance the visual experience by adding a suitable background track or sound effects to your fractal zoom animation.
    7. Export and Share:
Export your final animation in a common video format like MP4 or GIF. Share your creation with others who appreciate the beauty of fractals.
Creating a visually appealing Perpendicular Mandelbrot zoom animation requires a combination of mathematical understanding, artistic sensibility, and software proficiency. Experimentation and patience are key to achieving the desired result, and the final outcome can be a mesmerizing visual journey into the depths of this mathematical wonder.

Generally, in terms of the zoom coordinates, don't you want to select an xy value that is asymptotically approaching a boundary or orbital point?
That requires a bit of math, or google fu (or lazy wolfram alpha hax mode maybe)...yet to actually zoom that far into a fractal set is absurdly computationally expensive(and usually requires so called "big int" trickery. Double doubles arent enough. Floating point errors occur quickly.
So you need to have a so called "anchor" point.

    • @py_a_thon
      @py_a_thon 5 місяців тому

In other words: the choice of keyframes for an animation should be anchored to a focal point value.

Does perpendicular mean it uses one dimension of Julia sets? Julia sets and the Mandelbrot set are mutually orthogonal 2-dimensional cross sections of the same 4-dimensional structure. Both are based on iterating the process Z(n+1)=(Z(n)^2)+C. For the Mandelbrot set, Z(0)=0 and different points on the image show the result of iterating with different complex values of C. A Julia set uses a fixed value for C and looks at the effect of varying the complex value of Z(0). I'm guessing that for this video, the real component of Z(0) and the imaginary component of C are fixed at zero, and we are looking at the result of varying the imaginary component of Z(0) and the real component of C. Is that right?
