Wow, what can you say about that, absolutely brilliant, mind blown etc. I could watch this all night. For my money this is the coolest band on the planet at the moment
I feel like a lot happened there that I don't understand, but it was fun to watch and listen to. Also, how cool is it to have a group of eight musicians, and they're all skilled and versatile enough to where any combination of them can play together and have great results.
I've seen the beginning part of this vid before and Machiya blew my mind.. who play's slap style on an electric guitar? But watching it now I realize Beni steals the show.. what chops!
So great to have an extended video featuring Beni doing her thing without cutting away in 1/2 second to another band member. Shakuhachi guy was blazing away, too. Ditto for Taiko Man. Sorry, I don't know your names but your musical artistry tells us all we need to know about you. I watch a few of your videos every night and it always leaves a smile on my face. Domo Arigato!!
That's Beni's solo part, of course the camera'd focus on her. Compare to other videos where the whole band playing together then there bounds to be instant cuts: there're 8 people (which's a lot), all members contribute and I really appreciate when their filming crew try to get everybody equal screen times. And I hope you know all the members' names by now because learning one's name is a form of respect, you know.

この菊蔵は、柏崎にいる姉の家に用があって行き、振舞われた残りの餅を懐ふところに入れて、愛宕山の麓ふもとの林を過ぎたとき、象坪（ぞうつぼ）の藤七という大酒飲みである仲の良い友に行きあった。そこは林の中だったけれど少しだけ芝原があるところだった。藤七はにこにことしてその芝原を指さし、ここで相撲を取らないかという。菊蔵はこれを承諾し、二人草原にてしばらく遊んだのだが、この藤七が本当に弱く軽々と自由に抱えあげては投げられてしまうので、面白いままに三番まで取った。藤七が曰く、今日はとてもかなわない、さあ行くこうといって別れた。四、五間も行ったあと気付いたところ、あの餅が見えない。相撲場に戻って探したけれどない。始めて狐ではないかと思ったけれど、外聞もあるので人にはいわなかったが、四、五日ののち酒屋で藤七に逢ってその話をしたところ「おれは相撲など取るものか、その日は浜へ行っていたんだ」と言って、いよいよ狐と相撲を取ったことが明るみになった。しかし菊蔵はなお他の人々には包み隠していたが、昨年の正月の休みに人々酒を飲み狐の話をしたとき、おれも実は…とこの話を白状し、たいそう笑われた。
