I think the problem with the late Miyabi theory is that they've already showed us her whole faction... it's possible, and I'm worried about another Ice attacker, so maybe they will delay it. But then why did they show us her entire faction? It makes it seem like they're going to be filling out those factions pretty quickly before moving onto unknowns.

So to make sure I got enough primogems to max constellations ( even tho I lose twice in the pity which if i didn't and I would have c6 Ayaka and her sign R5 ). I only pull once a day in both banner weapons and character. but still i think i got lucky as i got Ganyu, Hutao and Klee in only a few pulls. But i guess Genshin is a different matter than ZZZ. as it is ARPG with open world and mechanic of elemental reactions meanwhile ZZZ is much more to ARPG that benefits more when you have mono type.

For someone who is going to get Miyabi no matter what, pulling Ellen seems like a bad idea because I would have to bench her eventually. I'd rather play without an ice attacker for half a year than waste premium currency that could be used to get a different character that will have more longevity.
This is a pretty dumb line of thinking about it. By this logic why would you ever “waste premium currency” on Miyabi when there could be a future character that will have more longevity than her? It’s a never ending cycle that’s how gacha works. The true answer is to pull who interests you and have fun with them.
@@Kro-RissaVirus I didn't explain it properly. Ellen has a higher chance of getting benched because she's likely to have the same role as Miyabi. Even if Ellen is stronger I would still bench her. If I would get Zhu Yuan instead, there's no other characters leaked that overlaps with her role (ether dps). There will be one eventually but I doubt it will be any time soon and there's no guarantee that I will like the new one more.
Got Ellen in 15 pulls. Tried to get Zhu Yuan got Lycanon in 10 pulls instead. So now I have the full team for ellen and Also grace too. This will be my 2 main team til ellen gets power crept.

Even if Miyabi is released fairly quickly after 1.0, then either she's gonna be reworked into a different element or type, or just be in some other way distinct from Ellen - currently not only is she Ice as well, but both are Attack characters that use a sword-like weapon, so they have to make something about them different, primarily their playstyles and damage distribution. I just hope that their similarity doesn't encourage Hoyo to differentiate them using power creep, but even if not the single best option, Ellen's gonna be perfectly fine for a long time. Personally I'm probably pulling for Ellen for her mobility and largely dodge-focused playstyle. Also, I don't know if anyone has done actual calculations, but my rough estimate placed her Signature somewhere around 30% above her second best option, which is quite a lot, with the added bonus of being very convenient to build (at max lvl she would get 61% CRIT Rate after Dash/Dodge and 98% CRIT DMG including S-Rank Disc IV, and then whatever you get from substats ond other sources).
If I get Lycaon from the get go, I'm not going for Ellen 'cause of Corin, not Miyabi, since she bein' from the same faction as Lycaon already allow them both to activate their passives _then Soukaku's passive would activate paired with these 2 by being Ice
I really doubt Miyabi will both be released close to 1.0 + stay as Ice Attacker. If she's released soon, she will not be Ice Attacker. No way they release two characters with exact same role right after each other at this stage.

Hard disagree that skipping Ellen for Miyabi is a mistake. Even if she takes a year to be released, do I really want to invest in two ice dps’s, whose play style isn’t that different? Look at Ganyu and Ayaka in Genshin. They are quite different, but unless you love both their designs, these types of games don’t incentivize playing the same elements on both sides of end-game content. Also, there will be so many characters coming out, all kinds of different combat styles and elements. No need to rush. Also, 1.0 units usually become somewhat obsolete very quickly. I’m willing to wait a bit.
True, but this applies to everyone in the next 2-3 patches. You'll inevitably do that even without knowing it. Let's say you get Zhu yuan. We dont know who's coming within a year. It's very possible that one of your characters that you eventually get, will happen to get a replacement. So i get what you mean, but i stand on my point

I agree, but they could also always just change Miyabis kit…if Miyabi became an anomaly character, she would slot in perfectly with Ellen’s team.

Bruh Soukaku with Ellen just works. Soukaku freezes while Ellen dishes out damage.
Personally ellen is the character im interested in, I like the sorta emotionless tsundere type and shes a fucking shark 🦈

I concur. Miyabi even has a lot of fire special effects in her animations, so they could easily pivot her into a fire type.

You can use von for daze build up and talent bonus (same fraction) or you can go with grace/nicole for anomaly disorder
