Even with a history degree, I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. Going and seeing for yourself is the absolute best way to learn - and to make it seem *real* instead of words on paper. 254 counties is a lot of history to cover! After viewing this video, yet another item has appeared on my RV-ing bucket list...

The Fanthorp Inn is SO cool. It's neat that you got to see a reenactment. The Smith hotel is gorgeous, so are the churches. Another interesting video!
Another great video. After watching your Salado video I took a motorcycle ride to go see for myself. I once teased you about your pronunciation of Llano although it was a great video as well, I now find myself waiting on your next. If you find yourself in the Livingston or Woodville are again, look for a restaurant named Pickett House. It’s a great restaurant built in a early 1900 school house with a historical village behind it. You were close when you showed the Naskila casino. Keep up the good work and safe travels.

Another place to add to my must visit list. I really enjoyed your creativity - both the B/W segment and the background music. LBJ’s ancestors started out as a group of Baptists in South Carolina who decided to head west in the mid 1800s. They first settled in Mt. Lebanon, Louisiana, where they founded Mt. Lebanon University (precursor of today’s Louisiana College). The Johnson Homeplace still stands here.

Stayed there in Navasota several days back in 1989. Brazos River nearby, many other equally interesting towns that side of the line "where the Old South ends & Old West began". Thanks for all your great work!

Locally the town of Bedias is pronounced Berries. Locally.
Who knows, this Anderson may blow up when the railroad finally makes its way through Grimes county. It'll just be a high speed railroad this time.
