Hello, my friends. My name is Dmitry, this is the French bulldog Oleg. I will tell you a story about how Oleg came to me. You will find out what he had to overcome on his way...
I live in Russia. I had a small business in my village before the coronavirus pandemic happened. I rented a room and organized parties, concerts and discos. This is what I was doing at that time.
I was delayed at my workplace on October 12, 2017. I had to find music for a party that was planned for the next day. I turned off the laptop, turned off the light, and opened the door to go outside... And at that moment, the dog ran into this door. He was dirty and thin and smelled disgusting. His eyes were festering.
⁃ Who are you? I asked into the void. The dog looked at me and said nothing. I gave him some water and took out the bread that was lying behind the bar. The dog greedily ate the offered dish. I touched his back, and the dog began to cry.
I took a picture of him. Then I posted these photos on social networks and made ads on the Internet. I waited for the owner to write to me.
I had to choose a name for the dog. I started going through different dog names aloud: Bonya, Rex, Oscar, Jack, Oleg... The dog responded to the name Oleg, he looked into my eyes. This couldn't be happening. In Russia, dogs are not called by the name Oleg. It's a human name. I started listing the names again. The dog didn't react. I said the name Oleg again and he looked into my eyes. Since then, the French bulldog has been named Oleg. This name means Saint.
Oleg was sleeping alone in my club. In the morning I brought dog food and gave it to Oleg. I bought a collar and a leash at the store. The doctors at the veterinary clinic could have known whose dog it was. I put Oleg in the car and we went to the animal clinic. Doctors examined Oleg. They said that this dog had never been brought for examination. They didn't know the owner of the dog. So, Oleg had many diseases, it was found out during the examination. Otitis affected the dog's ears very much. The hind legs did not move well. He had a small weight. The doctors said that the dog could be about 2 years old.
A month has passed since our meeting. I was treating Oleg. The dog's health was getting better. I realized that he is very aggressive. He bit me, bit my friends and attacked other dogs. The veterinarians were horrified when I brought Oleg for an examination. I thought he might have been thrown out on the street for having a bad temper.
No one responded to my ads on the Internet, including the Owners. Then I decided to bring Oleg to my home. The French bulldog slept alone in my club before. And we began to live together in a rented apartment...
I have a UA-cam channel in Russian. In the spring, I shot the first video with Oleg. My viewers liked him.
A year later, the channel has more subscribers. A man named Alexander wrote to my Instagram. He said that he saw Oleg on the Internet, and that this dog belonged to him. He sent photos of Oleg when he was a puppy. I had no doubts. The dog in the photos is Oleg in his youth.
We had a telephone conversation with Alexander. He said that the dog's name was Shaun. Shaun's birthday is November 15, 2014. Alexander lives in another city. The distance between his city and my village is 170 km. When a child was born in Alexander's family, Shaun began to receive less attention. He started behaving badly. Alexander found new owners for the dog. He phoned the new owners every month and asked how the dog was doing. The connection with these people was cut off once. They asked Alexander not to call again. When the man saw on the Internet that Shaun was living with me, he was happy. He watches Shaun's life on my channel
I am grateful to Alexander. I was happy to learn Oleg's story, at least partially. The mystery remained how the dog got into Arti. That's the name of my village. Arti.
Another year passed. I managed to find out what happened with Oleg before he came to my club. The second owners sold the dog. The third owners could not cope with Shaun and decided to put him to sleep. They left the dog at the veterinary clinic and left. The doctor did not want to kill the dog. He found people willing to take Shaun in for a while.
A week passed, and the French bulldog moved to Artie to new owners. These people have a daughter. Shaun was attacking her. Then they let him out on the street. After wandering around for a few days, the dog ran into my door.
Now you know the story of my dog named Oleg. I don't call him by his old name. A new name is a new life
Oleg and I have been living together for 4 years now. I love him very much. It was difficult to get used to his character. It was even more difficult to correct his destructive behavior. I can't say that I was able to correct his behavior completely.

Dmitry saved more than one Oleg, he found new owners for a dachshund and a little kitten. He also took the lost Toy Terrier from the cold and found its owner. And these are the stories that he showed on his UA-cam channel. I am sure that there were more animals rescued by Dmitry.

This is incredible! firstly because the Mother Gaia's Angels led him to you, it was written... and thank God you embraced him. He could be dead now, if you didn't support at that time, even not being prepared for that (planned). And amazingly you could track his history. While I watched your video, I was thinking of the number of dogs that are abandoned and we will never know how much they went through. Think of this little cute, so many bad experiences with humans and at the end is living this love story with you. I live with a Frenchie myself, and wouldn't think of a better breed to be friend... they are lovely, they love you unconditionally. Yes.. they have their character, but all them have and that's good! Oleg was blessed to find you and I believe you were too, when found him. Keep feeding us with your stories... he is lovely and I don't get tired of watching him with his cuddles and cute face! ;)

This is one of the most heart-warming rescues I've heard of. How brave that Oleg took a chance and came into your club, bless his heart. Thank you so much for keeping him, you've made him into such a lovely dog. I have a rescue shih tzu who was also found in terrible condition and she, too, had quite the attitude (biting people, growling). Now, like Oleg, she's just a bundle of love. Hopefully people will see these stories and remember to 'adopt, don't shop'. Every dog is worth a chance. Thank you again. And your English is great, you just have a strong Russian accent, which is also delightful.

Your English is amazing! Never, ever doubt it for a second! And so is Oleg's story - he really went through hell and back before he met you. I am not surprised that he was a bit aggressive after all that - he needed that behavior to defend himself against the world which had not always been kind to him. I have always believed that you two were meant to be and now after hearing his story I believe that more than ever. You are Oleg's prize after such a hard journey and he is your prize for all the love and devotion you have given him.
