I'm a lover of all genres & that's my thing. As long as it's good & underground I'm playing it. Like you said a quality DJ should be able to DJ all genres! All my favourite DJs aren't bound by 1 genre & can mix them altogether!
Because of you and your channel I’ve learned so much. I became a bedroom Dj and used different types of controllers with rekordbox and serato and now I’m using CDJs! It’s been I would say two years that I’ve been watching your videos. Im not signed up for your school but the videos itself taught me so much! And because of this I’m playing at a venue this Saturday at 12am opening up for the headliner! 🎉🎉🎉 and I’ll be on UA-cam live ^^ once again ty so much for your help! I really appreciate all your time and efforts for us all to become DJs. Dreams do come true 🎉
Fantastic video, fantastic channel and fantastic presenter/teacher! Very inspiring! I have used to produce EDM back in school, but then dropped it and started to play guitar. Now I am 42 and a gave my 10-year old son a very simple beginner DJ controller. Instead of him spinning jog wheels, I've got stoked on EDM and DJ'ing again. So I have started to learn how to DJ and I really like it. At this moment DJing for my is just for fun and is a creative outlet. I don't even think that I will ever play to the public even in a small club, because I think that I cannot compete with the younger boys and girls. So I just play and mix whatever EDM I liked and still like - DnB, Big room and techno.
If you want to dj and be really good. Get this course. You won't regret it. In a small amount of time you will be playing your favourite tunes and if you want to play live, it has all you need. You won't find better and more giving than Andrew. The materials are for life, and you can keep learning from him as you develop. He is a real-life changer. Thanks Andrew 🎉 ps yes pls let's hear about the scar. I loved the last personal video and all the spiritual stuff that helps you get out of your head and into the decks.
I’m a bass DJ. I’m known for my hard bass sets, but I’m such a massive lover of ALL music that I’ve also played house sets, disco and hip hop. I also think you learn a lot of different mixing skills learning to mix different genres. Arguably progressive, melodic house is VERY easy to mix and doesn’t take a huge amount of mixing skill (I realise it’s about the journey and story) but very vocal hip hop and rnb tracks require fast thinking, prep work and clever mixing techniques… this is what I’ve learned along the way
Great stuff, Andrew! In the mid-late 2000s, I taught myself how to DJ and played Psy-Trance in clubs and Festivals, but life got busy with family, so I stopped. Last year I bought a controller and have been following you for a while, so I signed up for your complete package in April and working through it. I'm learning so much and loving it! Thank you!! ❤ ps. I'm a bit of a personal development nerd, so I definitely vibe with those videos of yours.
I started the course last year after years of wanting to get into DJing and it was a life changer. I've DJ'd at parties, weddings and outdoor events since then and am having a blast! Thanks Andrew and the Club Ready DJ community.
I’m a resident dj now after taking his course and only learning how to mix vocal driven music. It only took a month to get a residency after I learned from him
Mate, I've been watching your videos for the last few hours and I love the way you break things down and explain simply. I'm subscribing! Keep up the great work mate! I'll be taking your course pretty soon. Kudos! Greetings from PNG!
i love what u said about practicing mixing other genres andrew, i’ve played at college parties a few times where they only want hip hop and 2000s pop hits even though i’m an underground house and tech house lover at heart. needless to say it taught me a lot in its own way haha. love your videos as always man ❤
If your interested in djing look no further this is the course for you Andrew's passion for djing and teaching others shows in all his videos. I love how he throws out scenarios of things that can happen or go wrong this definatly comes from experience and knowledge. I'm new in the course but once you start you get addicted. I'm a truck driver and don't have much hometime to practice and I'm still lacking on my gear but when I do get home I'm wrapped up in practicing my mixes. I'm having to break old habits of mixing to quick or not waiting for the right part of the prasing to mix at . But what I've learned from the course is amazing. I definitely like that if I have a question I can ask the community and I've read tons of good things there to questions I didn't even ask. The awesome thing is that you can work thru the course at your own pace which with my work situation means slower than I would like. This course is awesome and by listening to other students mixes I've definitely been inspired to up my game . Thanks andrew appreciate you and this course ❤️
For anyone considering buying the course, I really can't recommend it highly enough! UA-cam videos are great but you will surprise yourself with how quickly you improve with a more structured approach. The Club Ready Tribe / community aspect is something you really won't find anywhere else and it's really valuable. Also Andrew, I'd be keen to hear about that scar! I've got a couple myself that all come with interesting lessons and stories so it'd be great to hear yours.
love your videos! I like being able to turn off subtitles as i end up reading them even when im trying not to, i feel distracted by them thanks for the effort you put into these videos!
I started out just the way you lay it ouy now. 1 genere was not enough. I did play Club,House,Techno,Psy and so on. To point this out in a different way. Its just like learning 5 or more languages at the same time. You might master 1 genere and not the next, and this feeling might make you feel you not want to play or need a break. I 100% support what Andrew are saying here. And a small tip from me Tech House might be a good genere to start with. I find it much easier to mix Tech House over Techno or Dance music with vocals. I started out the wrong way. But now after 1 year i know how to mix many generes with comfort. So thre are a benefit to mix many styels to. Thanks aginn Andrew for a nother great video. Please keep it up i love your work.
Great Video as usual... realy need to have a look at your DJ Course when I got some more time next year. Atm I started to mix vocal heavy funk house remixes with more general beat driven house. Its so much fun to mix vocal parts into instrumental parts, kinda feels a little bit like allready doing some little mash-ups/remixes there ^^
Shazam dosent always work especially in the hard techno trance and hard dance scene I have found tiktok to be as effective for finding track ids but also get a 20-second video of the track and ask about for the id afterwards
It sounds awesome, but I wish you could see the bpm and keys of tracks. Any other platform has it. I feel like it’s a big oversight and I hope they implement it at some point.
Kasey Taylor is one of my favorites. If I could mimic his sound as a DJ, I’d die happy. I just picked up two CDJ-2000’s earlier this year. Here’s the sound I’ve got in mind: ua-cam.com/play/PLhp97HF4cZEBbxE8Gfq-wH5mIufbtCz-2.html Thanks for doing what you do. ❤

100% check out Pachelle, she's amazing!!

@@ClubReadyDJSchool You deserve them🤟
I'm a Hard House junkie
I wish there was no bg music in this video or with less sound maybe
