I built my PC with an i3 6100 and RX 470 back in the day. When the price of those cards shot up, I flogged it on eBay and picked up a 1050Ti. It's given me many good years of gaming, but it's definitely at the end of it's life now. Hoping to build a new PC with a 7800x and 7800 XT in a couple months :)

Easy peasy! My stock speed i7-920 probably did not help matters too much. If FSR3 Framegen doesn't work, you can try LSFG instead. Results may vary, beware input lag.

I ran an EVGA SSC 1050 Ti in combination with an i5-3570K for an uncomfortably long time (Dec. 2016 to May 2023) and I overclocked that thing _as far as it would go,_ never let me down. If memory serves correct I managed +170 MHz on the core for an average clock of ~1950 MHz and +500 on the memory for an effective 4004 MHz clock. I used to have a MSI GTX 1050 ti low profile 4GB GPU in an older HP 3500 Pro pre-built system. Yeah, how things have fallen. not even sure the RTX 3050 is even at the same price yet or not, wasn't when I last checked and is definitely no where near the price of an original 1050
Thanks to 8th gen console initial hardware that is quite weak. So many games from that time are not really that hard to run. PS4 actually often being compared to 750 Ti (although the gpu inside PS4 is a bit faster than 750Ti). The spec for Xbox one is even worse.

I think a combination of things tbh I was talking about this earlier in regards to AMD processors.
