Shaelin, about a month ago I submitted a short story to an editor for feedback. Yesterday I heard back from him. It turns out he is cofounder and editor of a literary magazine. He liked my story so much he said he would love to see it submitted to his magazine. It may not seem like much but it’s a big deal to me as I’m just starting out! I have quite a few short stories that need to edit and some have not even been finished. My short story, Marigolds floating is a scattered and lyrical, but it is meant to be so I just have some minor edits to make to refine the prose. I wrote my short story, The Tree of Exposure around this time last year and I only began submitting it to literary magazines this month. A poem I have recently been writing is Walks Along Bluebells. I love you

Your hair is very nice. I'm hard of hearing and I could hear everything well enough. And the video aesthetics are fine. Don't worry. :) If aesthetics were that distracting from the content of your videos then aesthetics would be the least of your worries 😂.
I don’t usually watch the vlogs (sorry) but the name of this one sucked me in. I’m writing a bunch of short stories atm and it was really interesting to hear how you tackle them. The visuals/sound were so old school UA-cam - kind of loved it hahaha. There’s something more intimate about bad quality vids. Thanks for sharing.
Do you use Winndow's Nightlight settings? It's been a lifesaver for my eyes and avoiding brightness headaches and eye strain. I use a warm pink-oragne-y glow almost as if the page was by fireside in the darkness.
Oooh, I hate when I must add a scene. XD Like, I had to add a thing, but my story was already too long and I'm working on cutting it down. So, I set a goal of max 700 words. I ended up on 900+. But I actually managed to cut it down to like 725 or something like that, so I was super proud of myself. :) Now I just need to cut the entire story down with another... 6000 to 10 000 words at least. I've cut about 45k so far. lol. I hate being an over writer by now. XD
You may have already answered it, but I have a question in regards to your video on diction. Does word choice/diction have to be consistent? For instance if one wanted to focus on the "vibe" it would be drasticly different in some chapters. I hope this is not a stupid question.
In a longer piece, it's likely you'll have more variance in diction, but it's kind of up to you how consistent you want it to be! If you want it to be more consistent over an entire novel that's cool, but if your vision to is to create a very distinct vibe in each chapter you might switch it up. Really, it depends on your vision!

Usually 2-5 writing sessions spread over 1-3 weeks for the first draft, then a couple days to a week for revisions after workshop!
