@@pavelpreis7625 I like 1993 and this one. Both. The 1993 one has a mean extra riff. Saw this one at Wembley Arena September 1998. Great night. 1998 was sweet because it was Dave's comeback and a short tour. He looks so good here and happy. Felt special. He saved all his energy for the songs.

В 1991 году «Enjoy the Silence» стал победителем в номинации «Лучший британский сингл» на церемонии вручения музыкальных наград Brit Awards.
Мартин Гор, написавший «Enjoy the Silence», изначально планировал песню как балладу в тональности до минор, на демозаписи под звуки фисгармонии пел сам Гор. Несмотря на его сопротивление (Гор считал, что песня не должна звучать позитивно), Алан Уайлдер, видевший хит в песне, сделал аранжировку из затакта, что понравилось остальным участникам группы. Периодически между сценами появляется группа, позирующая для чёрно-белой съёмки.
Когда Корбейн предложил группе сюжет, который звучал как просто «Дэйв, одетый, как король, идущий с шезлонгом», музыканты отклонили эту идею. Они изменили своё мнение, когда он объяснил, что идея в том, что Король (Дэвид) - «человек со всем в мире, он просто ищет тихое место, чтобы сидеть. Король без королевства». I remember seeing them at Wembley Arena in late September 1998 - my first Depeche gig and I realised what I had missed over the previous years. People in the queue (some cute girl in leather trousers and her mates) had flown from Eastern Europe just to see that gig. Dave G looks 5 years younger than he did in 1993, not 5 years older!
