    Can any brand of POE switch be used for AP, or does it have to be a specific one

    Here in Las Vegas! Great. My question: Should you need to reset the access point, out comes the ladder or can it be reset remotely?

    • @UltimateTechHub
      @UltimateTechHub  3 місяці тому

      Yes, if you need to reset you will need to climb the ladder. If you need to power cycle it, just unplug the other end of the ethernet that's attached to the WAP. Wait 60 seconds and plug back in. Thank you for watching.

    Hi, thanks for the informative video. Does every home have an attic ? and how do you run cables if there's no attic in home. Thanks !

    • @sasquatchhunter86

      Crawl space or basement.

    • @UltimateTechHub
      @UltimateTechHub  2 місяці тому +2

      Not every home but most homes do have attics. If no attic, then you would have to run the cables on the walls in conduit.

    I have a basic AT&T Router under my computer desk and want to put a ceiling mount extender in my room, what type of wifi extender do I need? And do need a power cord to power this thing? If so a wall mount is probably the way to go right?

    • @UltimateTechHub
      @UltimateTechHub  9 днів тому +1

      Yes a wall mount would work and use an ethernet cable from the LAN on the router to access point. The AP will need to use the power adapter since routers don't have PoE connections.

    Are those little anchors really sufficient for mounting it to the ceiling? I would have thought you'd need to use toggle bolts or something similar.

    • @UltimateTechHub
      @UltimateTechHub  8 місяців тому

      The Wireless Access Point is very light weight so yes the wall anchors are plenty to hold it. Thank you for watching and for commenting!

    Do you need a access key or cloud key like ubiquiti or are the just plug and play?

    • @UltimateTechHub
      @UltimateTechHub  6 місяців тому +1

      No access key or cloud key just scan the QR code on the back of the AP.
