What a fantastic video idea! I would enjoy seeing other puzzle channels do something like this.

These seem like a good cross section of the kind of puzzles you do, for sure! I am the type of person who re-reads books multiple times, and therefore i do have some puzzles I do on a pretty much annual basis. Because they are based in my hometown, I'm a big Cobble HIll fan, and I have their Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady collection (4 seasons) and I do them in season each year. I also have just finished collecting, also from CH, the 4 seasons of Brambly Hedge - and they are destined to be on repeat as well. Both of these sets remind me of my Mum, who shared a love of these two book sets with me. Two other keepers are also CH - Chicken Quotes and Cat Quotes, which I acquired before the Country Diary puzzles and which I first did with one of my daughters, who sometimes puzzles with me. I recently tried Eeboo for the first time and am in love. Urban Garden is a keeper for me (I AM the lady with grey hair in the centre of the image). There is a Eurographics puzzle I also love, that I keep borrowing from a friend - Canadian Pacific Banff in the Canadian Rockies.

I’m doing the same :) . My sister wants me to reduce what I have to give and know how to donate to goodwill and give the jigsaw puzzle to people in need. It’s going to be hard how it is going to be done. Even though my sister’s mother in-law loves them too

You will LOVE that laser cut version of Mark's. I did the prototype at his house and it was such a similar experience to doing one of his puzzles but more pieces than I could ever afford hand cut! hahaha a little spicy too!

I love the idea for the video. This was actually easier for me than I expected. The first one that came to mind was Colin Thompson’s Curious Cupboards #2 The Craft Cupboard. It was the first of his I bought and the one we have done again the most. Then I would choose an owl puzzle (can’t recall the name) by Cobble Hill that reminds me of my mom. Then a Buffalo puzzle called Latte Cats that I did with my sister and her kid when they visited recently, My kids both love Icons by Katie Hofgard, a puzzle by Pomegranate, and I would have to keep that. Then my two favorite Aimee Stewart puzzles by Buffalo: Coloring Days and Winter Reading Nook. Then my three favorites by Eeboo: Alchemist’s Cabinet, Cats in Windows and 100 Great Words (my go to if I just want to do a quick puzzle for stress relief). Lastly for now (until I acquire new favorites) would be my San Francisco puzzle by Gallison because I did it when I was home during quarantine and longing to get out of the house.

What a wonderful video! Thank you so much for sharing! I only do 500 pieces or less, but I would also go by "does it make me happy"? Based off that I would definitely go with these: Trefl Fluffy team panoramic puzzle. One of the first puzzles I got last year and it's the one where it sort of all began again for me. Eurographics The cat nap (or the Frederick one, I feel that image is very similar but it makes me very relaxed just looking at it). Clementoni Psychedelic jungle (colorboom) sooooo colourful. Educa Bengal tiger - that one is just so beautiful. And probably the cat selfie from Schmidt even though I haven't done it yet it just makes me smile so much. Edit: there is also one from my youth that I would love to get my hands on again. A 200 piece Asterix and Obelix one but I'm having a hard time even remembering the image. I do remember I loved it so much I wanted to do it over and over and over again.

I'm surprised one of the cozy scenes - I forget the maker - didn't make the cut. Nearly every puzzle in my collection has been done more than once. I don't have that extensive a collection. I'd have to have at least one Charles Wysocki permanently. I have a crazy quilt puzzle from a museum I've done repeatedly and would keep too.

Always difficult to decide what you most want to keep. For me one puzzle I would definitely keep is a wooden one given to my grandfather when he retired in 1960. It is a Billingsfors puzzle of a church and is 384 pieces. These puzzles are virtually unfindable now and it is not known exactly how many images were made, five are known about. I also keep any puzzles that relate to my home city which is not many.

@@thecasualpuzzler I think I should point out that Billingsfors was a paper mill and I'm guessing that these jigsaw puzzles were given to staff to mark a particular occasion. The only website that you will find any information at all is the one called The Jigasaurus. The church image is the one I contributed.

I have worked on puzzles of and in for several years. I like you have had to downsize many times. Right now I really don’t think I am so sentimental about any of my current collection, that I would have a hard time giving them up. You have many beautiful puzzles and you have great memories. Have an idea take many of yours and using painters tape make them into home decoration has pictures, later you can take the tape off the backs.

Awe! The Santorini Sunset was a wonderful choice, because you had a good memory puzzling with your mom. I was puzzling all during the video-When will she mention Tania Wicks?????? 😆😆😆😆 Then, you did. I had Sweet Street in my hands when I was at the bookstore, but I saw The Dog Walker and laughed out loud. Incidentally, I received a few odd looks. But, people need to lighten up!!!! I am moving overseas from Australia to Europe to be with my wife, and boy oh boy, talk about downsizing. I am living the most minimalistic life until I move. I have thrown things out that I never would have thought I'd depart with yet I also found out that sometimes those emotional ties are not that strong, after all. Throwing out books was the hard part yet I asked myself.....1. Have I read this book. 2. regardless, what are the chances of me ever reading this book again? if never, out it went. 3. how easy is it for me to find this info online? 2 out of 3 and the book went and left my place and into the garbage. Furniture in perfect condition, I couldn't give away let alone sell, so much of it ended up for the local council to come pick it up and take away. I will say though, that doing a massive cleanse like this can be a great thing to do to release built-up energies in a place

Oh my goodness! That is the type of situation we'd be in if we got an overseas position. We are on the short list for an international position and I know it would be tough. Books would be another hard category, especially cookbooks for me.

I thought about this a lot after that patreon- more than I should have really haha
My 4k piece Pintoo because I would really miss pintoo and I could do it randomly in sections over and over being it's so easy to take apart sections.
A full size Reverie- I LOVE their advent art but not actually putting them together. The full size I love the art and putting them together.
A Cobble Hill because I love random cut- I think it would be the Brambly Hedge Fall- because I love fall and critters doing human things!!
The Masterpieces tiniest puzzles in the world 1k piece fall scene- again I love fall but also I love their tiny cut (more than 2in/2out)
Bits and pieces - one of my halloween ones- I love a random cut and I think their quality is fab!!
One of the KI Puzzles by Madalina Tantareanu- her art is stunning and would be something different!!
If Fish Could Walk by Demelsa Haughton- Ravensburger. I don't have great luck with Ravensburger but I really would like to move into the worlds Demelsa creates!!!
One of the Springbok Gnome Series- Love their quality and I should prob go with the summer gnome because I have a LOT of fall stuff going.
One of Eeboos Alchemist's series- I think The Alchemist's Home because those cut the house in half arts are a huge hit for me.
LAST- Antelope- Cat Castle- I really love busy artwork and cats- I know this one is one that would take me ages but would be full of giggles!!

I would have a hard time only choosing 10! I have 4 puzzles that are 5k and higher piece count and even though I haven't done them yet lol I don't know if I could part with them just because I love the images so much!!! That would leave me with only 6 others to take. I think I could probably manage but I would have a feeling that my giant puzzles would take up all of my room! lol

I would definitely keep the two my daughter bought me, my Wentworth Bumpy Landing one as it was the first one of theirs I did and is the the only wooden puzzle I’ve bought brand new (I think you’d like it as it’s a hot air balloon) and I would bring one of my Val Goldfinch ones as I love her art. (Would bringing a 4x500 be cheating)? 😂 the rest I’m not sure. I am like you though as usually I do a puzzle then gift or sell on.
I did really like your art and fable one. I’ve only done one of theirs, they are pretty hard to get here. But they are lovely quality and like you, I love the feel of the pieces.
