This is exactly what I am experiencing right now and this review has made things crystal clear to me.. I couldn't understand why I could not enjoy vaping and now I understand that its the DTL that I need to replace with MTL...
Nathan I am so grateful for your channel and am happy to say that I finally pulled the trigger and will soon be vaping on a Virginia as well as a Kentucky from Black Note! I finally rewatched this particular video and it is during a similar transition, in which I am quite abruptly turned off from my usual vaping style- .01 coils on mechs! Until recently my Mtl vaping was mostly reserved for “stealthy” scenarios, but something has changed recently and I suspect that you touched on a very key point in this video, specifically when you shared the perplexing logic of most vapers who won’t touch a tobacco flavour with a 20 ft pole! After watching this video again I asked myself why this was happening to me suddenly and it took me back to 2017 when I began vaping and 2018 when I exclusively vaped. During those times I could not understand why an “in your face bubblegum” was something I was supposed to be impressed by and why the flavours I wish existed were impossible to describe! Then it hit me. I was someone who to save money rolled his own cigarettes. This was generally not the case with the much younger Americans around me who tended to also earn more money and simply quit cigarettes. The key difference is that they didn’t fall in love with what I did, which was the smell of rolling tobacco, particularly when freshly opened and how this aroma carried so many memories of mornings for me along my coffee for years and through good times and bad times. The complexity of that aroma, I suspect, holds an important key to this mystery and I am partially thinking this knowing now how passionate you have been about cigars and their nuances…anyway thanks, forgive my novel! :^)
I’m glad you’re enjoying the flavour Nathan and very interesting video, I’ve been vaping the same setup for past 5 years and have been thinking of trying a different setup to enjoy different flavours such as tobacco on a MTL :)

As for NET’s on MTL you certainly can find on this channel equally good quality NET’s that I reviewed to deliver a equally satisfying tobacco vape.
You are definitively an MTL gentleman forever, lucky you, less headache with "puzzle vape" games for you! As flavor addict, I must follow what each juice "tell me" as the "best" (subjective obviously) way to enjoy it and for this, I test every new liquid I purchase (synthetics for now, NETs very soon) in few attys (+-10) from MTL to RDTL to DTL (RTA and RDA) to find the best associations eliquid/atty(s) and/or the different taste feelings. As the feeling is totally subjective and can change depending many life and personal variations, the best way is your own, just test and test and test... You can enjoy the same dessert eliquid today in DTL at 60W and tomorrow to prefer the same in RDTL at 35W and maybe one week later in MTL at 15W, or all in one spread in same day. To be flexible and open mind in vaping experience is at my opinion a good way to enjoy the best vape long journey, same mind about different eliquid families (desserts, fruits, tobacco, fresh, Synthetics or NETs). I am someway very admiring with people who can enjoy one kit and one allday eliquid all year long, wiser and luckiest !!! I like to switch minimum 3 to 5 times per day of e-liquid so also way to vape too !!! The main reason I enjoy so much vaping (only 1mg nicotine now) is all these variations possible depending juices, attys, coils, cottons, driptips, mod signals, promises of pleasure combinations, almost endless! Remind me my former cigar quests long time ago. And thanks to you (your videos), I am waiting to receive my Dvarw FL MTL (I enjoy the DL one, so easy choice to pick a "modern" quality MTL atty) and first NETs (La Tabaccheria - Extra Dry 4POD - CAFFE D'ARABIA and 3 The Vaping Gentlemen Club concentrates Zefiro/Tivano/Sebastian) to test and maybe begin a new vape experience (But I will try also NETs in RDTL and DTL because I am too curious to miss the experience even it is not the right/recommended way!). Again, thanks a lot for your sharing, it is not only useful but interesting and also very pleasant.
When I first started vaping it was mtl but I was still smoking primarily. It was the DL that actually got me off of cigarettes back in 2016 though. I didn't really dabble back into MTL until a year or so ago and it's been my primary method of vaping since. The reason being is I feel more comfortable vaping mtl I'm thinking it might be because of your point of it being more of a natural method of nicotine intake, I find it more satisfying and due to the higher strength of nicotine I don't find myself vaping as much as I did on a DL device with 3 mg nicotine. This is another major milestone I remember as well, but now I wonder if how we are defining dl/Mtl might be crossing over into a difference that both vaping styles have vs smoking? I am saying this because I remember that even though my first device was probably some sort of Mtl draw i had to learn how to inhale the Vapor because otherwise I would cough. The moment I figured it out was awesome but if I describe it it would definitely sound like I am describing a dl draw, since it wasn’t until I had to forget to “suck” on the draw and instead “breathe” the draw. The issue though with these definitions is that I am not sure if that “breathe” the draw is necessarily dl or simply how to vape! I say this because it is still how I would pull on Mtls of different restrictions, but then again make it tight enough and that little cough could happen! Lol
This video is spot on. I am trying MTL again using a Taifun GTR. The vape is flavourful but makes me cough. I'm not used to the throat hit. I also have a complex micro alien in it. I agree with you how the flavours are more pronounced the lower the wattage and longer the draw. I'm mostly RDL, Dwarv with the 2x2,5mm insert and the Squape ARise with the 5x.8mm insert. Even with RDL I'm getting so much more flavour than DL. Good video

I mix and match between RDL and MTL, and also between flavors. Yes vaping experiences are very individual. One thing I want to make you aware of is that some citrus aromas can crack pc / delrin / plastic tanks. I even cracked a kayfun lite 2019, lucky I was able to buy new glass. Nice you have found the way you can enjoy more flavors. Good video and topic 👍
Good video Nathan. I have never vaped Tobacco E=Liquids as I wanted to get away from smoking thats now over 8 Years. I mostly vape MTL but I also like the vape DL on my mech mods.
Hello Nathan, thank you for another very enjoyable video I’ve come to realize that there are two types of smoker, those who enjoy the taste of tobacco and those who merely tolerate it for the nicotine it supplies, I myself was one of the latter, I haven’t been a vaper for that long having made the switch in February of 2015, some might say that’s quite a while but I was a smoker for over 38 years prior to that so for me it’s not that long. In my time as a vaper I’ve always vaped mouth to lung and have never tried direct to lung vaping partly due to a mental block but mainly the lack of inclination and have always preferred simple single fruit flavour e-liquids, I vaped blueberry for the first two years, then raspberry for the next two follow by a year on blackcurrant then back to raspberry switching to home brew e-liquids 6 months in and using RTAs from around the same time. As a vaper I suppose I’m quite boring, but it takes all sorts right :)
You would be surprised David how many vapers I know are exactly like you and stick to one flavour for years. I know someone who only vapes 18mg black current liquids from one particular manufacturer and he buys them in bulk. And that keeps him satisfied. I hate to think what will happen if they stop this line of flavour I hope for his sake they never do😊
Ive waste so much money on dtl rtas rdas and now i only enjoy mtl with nic salts ive not touched a cig in 5 year so im happy my next thing to try is net juice
I can relate to your comment Daniel the only difference is I do not vape nic salts & NET’s are my true barrier from smoking again. Well done for 5 years smoke free it is obvious your way is working for you.
On point and actual as ever. There is a saying;”once bitten,twice shy. For some Ex smokers as high as the expectation from Tobacco vaping was the first experience turn as such traumatic and let down for many reasons; Wrong RTA,wrong build,trying flavored synthetic tobaccos,remember the ashy of cigarettes (many didn’t enjoy cigars nor pipes)and so on and on. The some of whole Eventually turn them away from Tobacco related vapes. How ever I’m sure for those who did enjoy cigars and pipes regularly or occasionally the right RTA with the right build can work magnificent charms with the present quality of NET Tobaccos available. When it come to NETs (on good setup and educated build) there is more satisfactory involved then only NIC and taste as I believe some part of WTA (Whole Tobacco Alkaloids)may be presence in the e liquid. At list to some extent. This may result in giving better satisfaction and lessen more the Tobacco cravings to good measure then just synthetic Lab NIC. Nicotine is the major alkaloid as 90% but there some more in Tobacco and depending on the extraction method some (not all as this required different method then cold macerated) value of this other Alkaloids may get extracted in the concentration. No point expending more as there are miles on miles of educating old forum discussions on the matter. and I’m not qualified on the matter just a curious vaper who like to read now and then. When I crave Tobacco nothing but NET work for me. It may be for the above reason. On occasions here end there I vape other flavours using my other MTL RTA’s but for short durations and using a bit more loos airy MTL setups. I don’t like the same tightness and consecrated taste for none NET as for NETs. Because NETs carry subtleties nuances I use my top higher END for them. and because Flavoured E liquids sometimes are in’yer’face kind of pronounced I like them more airy (less tiring for me)but no DL airy nor RDL. I do get DL at times can be fun for clouds but I prefer sipping my tipple more in quality then in quantity and it’s mostly reflected on my vaping style. an easy measure drew and taste. To each is own and many as different but it’s MTL that simulates better the old ashy habit for me. Great topic Nathan. It is interesting reading what others comment on this as well.
I am 99% MTL vaper. Occasionally I bring out my RDL gear for a blast, but I vape everything MTL and I mostly agree with you. I however find MTL sweetness much stronger than DTL and I find my MTL vape seems hotter to me. Maybe because I can't handle 60+ watt clouds DTL and with all the airflow the coils don't get as hot as my 13- watt MTL coils. Great video 👍 Thank You!

Maybe you notice the sweetness more as MTL because the vapour is tasted more on the inhale & exhale rather like a cigar so your taste buds are already picking up all those flavours immediately Vs DTL that is mainly on the exhale and your taste buds do not have a chance to fully appreciate the full flavour spectrum on the exhale. I wonder if I am right. As for the heat for me it is the reverse it is cool on 16w with fairly tight drew. We all experience things differently and I find that fascinating

I never missed any of your videos as I extremely appreciate your efforts and enjoy your opinions on vaping equipment. I’m an MTL person and I’ve been in the vaping/MTL realm for almost 3 years my first year was between here and there smoking my rolling tobacco cigarettes, but now I’m straight up vaping enjoying my MTL RTAs’ that I always count on you of picking them up as you’re always my main reference. Commenting on the last part of your video about quitting smoking by vaping something else than tobacco I know that it’s kinda a paradox however, I usually vape a sweet tobacco(synthetic tobacco with caramel) locally made here in Egypt by a friend of mine and it’s not an NET as it’s hardly to get your hands on NET liquids here in Egypt, but recently I picked up a Black Note Virginia liquid it was my first time to try out an NET liquid. Here’s what happened I freshly wicked my Bishop and I only filled less than a ml I took the first puff! I was shocked for a second! How this could be as close as to my Virginia tobacco I used to roll back in the day! For a second after 2 years of not craving a cigarette can’t stand by anyone smoking because how much I hate its smell! I started to crave a cigarette! I had a lot of flashbacks how I was enjoying my cigarettes! Then I realised that NET isn’t for me. I used to love tobacco and I now understand how NET liquid are raw and pure that could highly mimic a real cigarette smoking. But I decided not take this road again because I can’t see myself smoking a cigarette after all of that! I instantly switched to my sweet synthetic tobacco liquid that satisfies my cravings and kept me away from smoking for almost 3 years now. Who knows that maybe in the future I’ll give it another chance but for now I’ll keep vaping non NET liquids still tobacco liquid and I might change my mind and try a bit of fruity liquids as I’ve learnt from you today. I agree completely, I love a cool vape, I'm primarily MTL, and usually a 29 gauge 1.4 ohm round wire build, and only at 9-10 Watts, but I do like the odd direct lung, but even on direct lung I like 0.3-0.6 ohm coils amd only around 25-35 watts, One of the main reasons I like your reviews is because it's primarily MTL, I also like watching a reviewer called Jackson Vape Reviews as he's one of the only reviewers that does his eliquid reviews both direct lung and MTL, Also I started MTL (and vaping) around 6 and a half years ago, I started on a Virginia tobacco, and only after a couple of months I just tried a eliquid by suicide bunny called cake and cream, simply out of curiosity, and I absolutely loved it, then I found their mothers milk, a strawberry custard, and Arise by the cloud company also a strawberry custard but heavy VG, and it alone has been my all day vape ever since, I wanted to quit smoking as it was effecting my health but now I cannot ever see me quitting vaping as I actually enjoy it rather than 'having' to do it. Great video as always and it brought some discussion because everyone is different. I personally, vape everything mtl, dl, rdl, and sometimes even a disposable. I kind of do it differently. All my juices are at six mg freebase. In the beginning i did vape higher nic lvls with mtl because that is what you were supposed to do. Now i am down on my nic dependency and settled at 6mg. Never understood the rationale that you have to vape higher nic lvls if you smoked cigarettes, but you smoked lets say, 9mg cigarettes. I vape naturally extracted tobacco as dl and getting even more flavour then mtl. Also if iwould give a try to a friend my ( at that time) best NET ever without telling him what it was and he would not even recognise it as tobacco. In my opinion the whole difference between dl and mtl is "high wattage-lower resistance " "low wattage- high resistance" and flavour comes with the cotton, coil and space it is heated. Another fact is that once a juice bottle is opened it goes like a bottle of wine it has deteriorated the nex day, so once you go through half of a 60ml juice bottle the flavour is not the same. Another factor is that us long term smokers have our taste buds messed up, so what for somebody is a great flavour, somebody else might find it muted. Personally, i can not do NETs everyday because after a while it becomes just a grassy taste so i have to have a break from it. Love them dearly. Smokers do not taste the flavour of cigarettes after a while, they just feel right. That are my five cents on this.
Very interesting topic. I can also feel in myself that DL feels boring. But eventually I can state that DL is a phase in vaping if you are a former smoker. In the beginning, DL was fun because there are big clouds coming. But when fun fades, I started to focus a lot more on the taste. But it's also because many producers fill their juice with sugar. Then I lost my sense of taste. So mtl was my solution to start enjoying vaping again.
I mostly vape fruits and desserts. Three years ago stopped smoking and I started with synthetic tobaccos and hated their taste. So I switched to fruits and desserts, but since seeing your reviews I have started to wonder whether what I hated was the very synthetic flavour of the synthetic tobaccos. In any case, I enjoy watching your reviews because you seem to speak from your heart - honest passion is always attractive. (I generally seem to like 0.6 ohm at 17watts in the airy MTL/restricted DTL border)
Thanks Roger. I highly recommend you to try a good Virginia NET to start with I am fairly certain you would find full satisfaction. I dislike the taste of synthetic tobacco but Natrurally extracted tobacco is on a whole different level you should try it. Nothing to loose max you spend a few pounds😊

I just want to wish you good lack with your mtl atomizers since some of the fruits will ghost them and you will not be able to enjoy the fine tobacco nuances of your NETS again unless you change all the orings that touching the liquids. Thanks Drakos I like you fast & furious terminology😊 I always clean my MTL’s thoroughly and any strong flavoured liquids I designated a few RTA’s that I only use for those liquids.
I smoked for 20+ years. Quit via vaping 3 years ago and I’ve only ever vaped mtl and only fruits. Honestly, I didn’t really enjoy tobacco flavour even when I smoked. Lol. I’m in it for the tasty flavour 100% so it’s like a treat. Like eating dessert all day because I vape pretty constantly. I go through probably 15ml juice a day and have been zero nicotine for well over a year. Great video. Thanks for sharing your views. Gonna check out your juice reviews next. 😁

Gum bleeding, nose bleeding, heart burn, pain in right kidney area, almost everyday diarrhea, weakness, anxiety, heavy feeling in the centre of chest. I quit vaping but came to rolling tobacco, I have brown teeth again, but all symptoms during vaping are disappeared. Do you or your friends have problems from vaping? Best regards.
@@sanchostom I personally only benefited from vaping nearly immediately. Lungs, heart, and general well being. Including my taste buds & blood circulation especially my gums. So I am very surprised to hear all departments of my improvement has deteriorated by you. I am no doctor but you might be allergic to the wire of the coil or PG or nicotine poisoning.Your symptoms from vaping as you assume are very rare and needs further investigation. In fact you are the first I have ever heard such alarming symptoms from supposedly vaping.

A very interesting topic in fact. Thanks for bringing this up.👍🏻 DL was for me the way to go four years ago, possibly for the reason of getting far away from smoking cigarettes as much as possible. And the usage of apparently very much sweetened juice backed me off MTL stuff a long time, i think mainly because getting used to DL so much, and there only fruit vapes. Otherwise this sweetened stuff never was enjoyable in any MTL vaporiser because it wasn't overtoned but oversensitizes in DL to such a somewhat replacable result. It seems that simple for me. The last four months i went almost totally to MTL , mainly for the reason of the upcoming taxes here in germany, which totally ignore the fact of harm reduction and are horrendous, especially concerning the estimated costs for DL vaping in the near future. It's political will in germany to row in vaping in general to smoking tobacco by all means, ideologically, at least in my assumption. Independent of any nicotine in ANY used liquids, e.g. sheer base, there will be a tax of finally 3,20€ on 10ml of EVERYTHING that you fill in a bottle! Ironically this led me to switch to MTL, and i already like it so much more...wasn't aware of how a good tobacco vape can be or even nutty stuff with a little hint of fruit as well. Agree with you in all explanations you make in what the differences are. MTL puts the taste and enjoyment in the foreground in potentially such a full vaping experience, if you become acquainted to it. Less is here widely more in a good sense.

The tax on e liquid is totally wrong and actually should have been subsidised by governments for smokers as the best & proven smoking cessation & harm reduction. Here we are again. Thanks Nathan! Strait to the point. I never find my self in DL vaping. For me is MTL more natural then DL. As you sad doesn't matter how you vape till keep you away from cigarettes. For people who doesn't care is it DL or MTL ( new vaper's) I would like to point MTL advantage VS DL, - you save a liquid, battery and size of device. All the best to everyone.
I've started to vape at the end of 2013 and I've started from MTL type of devices. After so many years of vaping, I've gone from MTL to DL RTAs with two coils. Last two years I use mostly MTL and RDL devices. I was tired of huge clouds and huge airflow. DL devices give you a lot of sweetness but not details of the flavor. With my experience, I can say that RDL on the tanks with changed airflow via pins, somewhere on the 2.0 or 2.5 you can get the flavor best out of two worlds. It's not so open and direct to your lungs and not so tight as MTL. You can get the flavor on the inhale and exhale. Now I use two devices: for MTL it's a Pioneer RTA with 1.2 pin and BilletBox with Pioneer Insider with 2.5 pin and so happy with the rich flavor I get on both devices.
I'm using mtl for a year now, I'm a DL vaper before mainly enjoying fruity liquids(mentholated), I have tried tobbaco eliquids for mtl and it's not really my style so I'm using fruity desserts and menthols on mtl and it's truly enjoyable.
Very nice review, I enjoy the detail you put into your videos. I smoked for over 25 years and got into vaping early on, and have vaped for over 10 years now. I'm mainly into DTL, but do MTL at night with a strong fruity menthol mix. I feel my vaping style may be changing, I purchased a Glaz Mini for my wife after watching your review. I'm looking for a great MTL RTA (have been using a Nautilus for years, but that's just pre-built coils) but after watching several of your reviews just can't figure out what I'm after.
@@netvaper thank you.. I guess I'm being too picky as I have been using an Aspire Nautilus for years and the coils last a good 2-4 weeks and changing them is very easy. With the new pact act, the excise tax and signature fee it makes it difficult to pay that much for coils when I know I can rebuild for pennies. The Glaz is nice, but cleaning and rewicking is a chore. I don't like the o-rings, I almost lost a couple while washing. I don't like plastic so a lot of tanks (for my taste) are out. I guess I was looking for ease of rebuild, flavor and some type of capacity. The Bishop looks like the front runner, but I think it should have top fill. I like the Ares 2, but not the plastic membrane on it. I think I'll hold off with a decision until I watch your best of 2021 video.
Well Pat the Bishop has a new top fill cap!! and i can highly recommend the Bishop or the Ripley (RDTA is a bit different design) in my books it is one of the best mid budget MTL for 2021, that for the money i can confidently claim you are getting near high end quality. My best of 2021 would reflect the above😊
Hello Nathan, As you can see, I do pop around all your videos. You and I come from the same pod, like you, I had to figure this out as well. Myself I have changed vaping tobacco all day. Now in the morning, with my coffee, I enjoy vaping my international blend, it is made using Rye8, Virginia, and Soho Italian, all 9MG, 70/30 VG/PG. Now in the afternoon I switch over to fruits and candied, my favorite being Cream sickle, Blue Slushie, and mid afternoon a Strawberry cheesecake, or blue berry cheesecake. Now in the evening I will go with a nice scotch I will vape my Turkish.. Like you have mentioned in your video when you change from tobacco's to other flavors it just makes the return back to the tobacco that much more satisfying, I think our taste buds need that break up, and by doing this allows for flavors to be so much more pronounced! I've been following your videos for quite a while and never knew that you vaped mouth to lung only with your net tobaccos. Most of your reviews have been for MTL devises, so I assumed that you vaped your fruit juices on those devises. I started vaping 2 years ago with a DTL stock coil tank which was recommended by a local vape shop. Within 2 weeks I bought a refillable MTL pod system at a different shop and have not vaped DTL since that day. I now have several rebuildable MTL devices and vape all types of juice strictly MTL. As you say, it is what feels natural to me. DTL only caught on when vapers began to focus on huge clouds, and that is no longer very popular. For me vaping is a simulation of smoking, so it's MTL all the way.
Thanks Chris I see I am not the only vaper who thinks MTL is way more natural way of vaping. But I think in the great scheme of things there are far more vapers who feel comfortable & natural to vape DTL. So to sup it up what ever works for any individual that is the right way for them.
I vaped DTL to start with, and in my head I wanted to get away from smoking all together and DTL and fruit, cake, custard vapes was away of doing that, I would get fed up of flavours so quick and change all the time, I had that many half finished bottles of juice that even my partner commented, I vaped mainly cake/ custard type vapes with the odd fruit flavored vape now and again and even then most fruits had to have some sort of cakeness or creaminess, I changed to MTL because I was getting fed up with DTL and even started craving cigarettes again, I switched to MTL and net liquids, quite recently and really enjoy my nets, but every now and then I still have my favourite raspberry soufflé vape but mixed at 6mg at 60/40 mix and enjoy it a whole lot more MTL than I ever did dtl, back at the beginning DTL was the only way of vaping for me but now I just love and MTL, I smoked rollups and for me a cigar was a treat, in the end I didn't enjoy smoking because my chest was so bad and I only continued smoking because I couldn't quit
Two things come into my mind. First its the nicotine. Many liquids that are marketed towards DTL crowd doesn't have high nicotine level, it usually came in 3 or 6 mg's. From what I know, and also reflected in the vaping scene in my country, MTL liquids usually comes at 9+ mg's of nicotine. I'm sure there are people who vape 3 or 6 mg's with MTL but I think they're not the majority. Secondly, from what I can see, you have high quality liquids over there. So with any wattage you put into it, the flavor still come out nice. Back here in my country, liquids that are directed to DTL crowd have much more sugar than flavoring in it, so vaping it with lower wattage like in MTL resulted in only sweet taste with a faint flavor of whatever described. Also many said that PG VG ratio plays a role in flavor delivery. And as DTL liquids usually are more higher in VG, and since VG needs higher temperature for it to vaporize, it's only suitable for higher wattage vaping, hence DTL. But on this one I'm still sceptical as I make my own MTL liquids, higher VG liquids doesn't affect the flavor, its negligible, if any.
For MTL I can't use less than 18mg there's no throat hit at all for me under that and doesn't satisfy me in any way, I use 6mg on drippers, it winds me up a lot that every shop where I live sells 2 and 3mg mainly and if you add the 10ml tpd nic shots it's far too diluted at even half my nic levels.. thankfully we can still order 72mg online even though technically it's illegal because I would've gone back to smoking otherwise
@@darkcore81 20mg is very high and would satisfy most smokers. I fully support a nicotine cap especially in disposables. In the US where one can get an insane 5% nic salt equivalent to 50mg is irresponsible in my opinion.
I mostly MTL on rebuildable and vape around 16 watts roughly. I find MTL with the tighter draws better for NETs and RY4s. Like yourself I don't toot on fruits all that often. The tanks with the wider draw or bigger airflow seem to work better for fruits from what I've found.

While I am sure many will argue that DTL (and cloud chasers) is more pleasurable for a variety of reasons (and they would be justified), for me, MTL is also, as you put it, "natural". After watching some of your reviews, I am now going through two bottles from Black Note, which I like. But I also find that I enjoy refined RY4 justices to be attractive (for eg. Botany Bay Co's Robert Lindsay, and Basix's Butterscotch Reserve, among others). I suppose this is because I liked heavier flavourful pipe tobaccos. I now have to buy a 3rd MTL (I have the Pioneer and the Dvarw FL MTL). Nic level Rangers between 6mg and 9mg.
Hi Nathan Excellent explanation and great effort. I am a fan of the mtl, and I like the narrow breath, I do not like a lot of smoke, and I like to taste the flavors in every breath. And he always saw that the dl smoker does not feel the taste of the flavor except when he exhales or smokes

Flavorless 90% VG solved all my problems. Sometimes i use a drop of RY4 in a 2 ml tank. The subtle sweetness of VG goes with any drink and it is the closest to the experience of smoking,at least for me. Everyone should give it a try for a couple of days.
I have never vape DTL, that is why I cannot share my experience in this side. For 1,5 years I have vape only MTL. With your consistent help, I have learned about Naturally Extracted Tobbaco and as you know, I am a definitely NET vape. I would say that I agree with you 100%: NET cannot be DTL. Sensitive organic (natural) molecules would be simply burnt by high temperatures (high Watts). One italian video, which inspired me said NET should be 1,2-2 ohms with 9-12 Watt. As a result I vape 2,1 ohm / 10W and 1,51ohm/11,5 W. Maybe seems strange but it works beautifully: cold vape, full aroma spectrum, of course depending on which RTA I used. RTA's most used: Spica Pro (2,1ohm) for clear NET and By-ka version 8 for dark (mixtures) with 1,51ohm at 11,5 W. Thank you once again.
Thank you for the video. I like fruity e-juices like lava flow , very barry, etc made by Naked-100 and similar. Recently I tried to switch to MTL devices but the problem is the higher resistance coils (Ni80) combined with low power would not give me the flavor I get from my DL RTA Taifun GT4. I bought Kayfun lite plus (2021) based on many positive reviews but it wouldn't give me the full range of flavor that GT4 does. Some vapors say that poor flavor producing by MTL devices caused by VG/PG ratio but in most cases there's no option to specify that number when buying the e-liquid. I'm curious if you or your subscribers could share their experience to help me get to the right path. Thanks again for your story.
@Abolit. Most vapers Do find fruity / dessert liquids especially creamy / custard better tasting on DTL & higher wattage and it stands to reason, as lower ohms & higher wattage vaporises much more liquid, so the flavours are much more intense and that is where the problem for me personally, the "Intense" part, too intense for me. So i found that MTL reduces the intensity, you might categorise it as less flavourful & you are probably right but for me it is too much, so i rather taste a bit less on the intensity but enjoy it for longer. That said some liquids i myself prefer on DTL RTA/ RDA on 40-60w especially when they are complex & well layered. To sum it all up, it is very personal and you vape the way you like it best!!! and keep your Kayfun Lite for tobacco liquids that taste amazing on lower wattage 14-18w on a MTL 0.8-1.0 ohm coil
Hi Nathan!!! I'm your opinion what is the bestest MTL rta's, for vaping (pure) fruit juices ? I don't use DL at all. It's been a problem to me, to found a decent MTL who (really) work good with fruit juices. With NET juices I have no problem on my MTL s, but after testing some different MTL rta's, I'm struggling to found a good MTL rta who has a sharp defined flavour on fruit juices (without turning them sweet). Generally MTL rta's "round" the fruit flavours, looking more like a "Cream". But I don't vape pastery or "creams" due to being generally "sweet", which I don't like that much. Mainly I use "pure" fruity juices (fresh/acid/citric). Thanks!!!

Yes Ali that is what I am working on now but not specifically for fruity or tobacco as they are equally good on both flavour profiles. especially on my top tier MTL’s. If I will categories each MTL for all types of liquids it would take me hours😊
I would give you a heads up Ali. As i had major vacuum & leaking issues with the Expromizer V5 i will not mention it in my best of 2021. The V4 & 1.4 are way better in that aspect. So far from all the Expromizer's the V4 is still the best. Although the flavour on the V5 (same deck as the V4) is superb but the new top cap design that in my opinion causes the troublesome vacuum and very annoying leaking has ruined the V5 for me. As for the Elite Pro it will get a high score in the mid budget MTL's it is superb.
It's a tricky one with me I've tried to make my own fruits and after about 4ml it becomes bland the only thing that works for me is cinnamon hot or caramel and coffee mint but I need a bit of a palette cleanser from my nets any advice or suggestions would be appreciated (using 415 mtl for fruit)
Yes I agree Paul. I found the lemon curd by the rochford project a palette cleanser or any good quality lemony liquid. My tobacco liquids taste so much better after a short vape on the mentioned liquids
God you our so much like me net tobacco all day and now and again at night a fruit flavour. Which is wick liquor banshee which you must try mate look it up. I’m a mil Vapor and have been for seven years now. Keep up the great work 👍👊👊
To be accurate Paul. If you have exactly 50ml zero nic add 6.3ml of 72mg nic. If you have a 60ml bottle filled with liquid as many times happens when you choose leave it zero option then add 7.5ml of 72mg. I add to the 60ml juice cabin NET’s 7.6ml as it is easier to round it off. All the above will make it 9mg.
HI NET good content , I've gone from a DL to a RDL / MTL setup just recently and really enjoying it . So if i was to change my 70vg 30pg ,3mg juice to a 6mg juice for RDL/MTL how do i calculate how much extra nicotine do i need to add thanks

Well Adam I would have suggested the Pioneer purely for flavour but the wicking is crucial to get it right. So I would recommend the Neeko as a wiser choice as an excellent all rounder every day MTL that would deliver very good flavour as well also the build quality is way better and the airflow is butter smooth. I use the Neeko nearly daily you would enjoy the vape that is for certain.

Just received my Oxva Arbiter Solo (very nice indeed, can finally feel the flavours, depth and notes), put a handmade alien clapton 0.75ohm, wicked some Firebolt cotton in - so far mostly ok at 24W. I'm getting some juice in my mouth every now and then, but that's maybe because I brushed the wick too much (and too thin) and also set the coil rings slightly apart. But my main question is about VG/PG ratio and correct nicotine concentration for MTL. All my juices are from DTL era - they're all 70VG/30PG and 3mg concentrate (Salt). I've heard that MTL is supposed to be 50VG/50PG, and the nicotine is supposed to be 18mg and up (cause you're vaping at much lower wattage). What kind of VG/PG ratio are your juices? and what kind of nicotine concentration should I go for? So far, I just dumped 2x 10ml 70VG 20MG(strength) bottles into 120ml shortfill which had 100ml of liquid in it. But something tells me that might not be enough nicotine for MTL. What do you think? Also, Rochford Project does them only in 70/30 ratio. So how are you vaping them MTL? Thanks in advance.
Hi Garen. I vape MTL on 70VG/30PG all day long without any problems. Nowadays MTL RTA’s can cope with 80VG as well without no issues. As for nicotine, I vape 9mg freebase on MTL and that is perfect for me you don’t need high nicotine on MTL it is purely down to your personal preference. I started on 18mg then down to 12mg for a few months and now on 9mg and perfectly satisfied. As for liquid in the mouthpiece you answered it already, too thin cotton & spaced coil perfect recipe for spit back (hot liquid squirted upwards when vaporised). Enjoy the Solo.
@@netvaper Thanks for the detailed answer. You vape, you learn. I rewicked with a slightly thicker cotton, and the problem is partly resolved. Tried to push the coil together, but alas, it's like a spring - once spaced, it will always remain spaced. Good thing that I purchased a mix-&-match of 10 coils (all 0.8ohm). But once I brought it down from 24W to 18W, it seems to be ok - no spitbacks. My all-day-vape, which is a variation of strawberry-cream/cheesecake with ripe-strawberry on top, tastes delicious. I make these myself. As I was stranded outside of the country for 2+ years (Brexit/lockdowns/long-story) these have been slow steeping for 2.5 years, and now they're like nothing that I have ever tasted. I even purchased some premium brands, like Suicide Bunny, Cuttwood, Project Rochford, etc, to compare and see if they're doing this profile better (so far they're not). Now, I need to find a perfect morning juice to go with a morning coffee. Somehow still finding myself smoking 2 cigarettes with that first cup, because doing a massive DTL first thing after you wake up really hurts. I remember you had a special recipe (Toffee or caramel or something) that you made a video about. Gonna look it up. I bought the Arbiter Solo, just as a beginner MTL experiment to see if MTL is for me (Arbiter Solo seems to be simplest of them all). If over time MTL proves to be my thing, I think my next purchase will be Pandora2 and then Bishop - each RTA with its own juice for different times of the day. So far I'm liking the silence of it, the whole MTL pattern which is very close to emulating the way I smoke cigarettes, rollies and pipe, the slight throat hit experience, relatively discreet cloud (which doesn't trigger the smoke alarm); the flavours are deeper and with articulated notes, and at 18W the battery on my old mod with 2500mA can last more than a day (whereas with DTL I recharged 2-3 times a day). So, yeah - a lot of pluses. If I ever want a nargile/shisha experience, I still have my mesh DTL :) By the way, I noticed that occasional puffing, much like puffing on a pipe (i.e drawing a vape, then drawing some fresh air from a side into the mouth, then drawing a vape again, and so on) dramatically improves the flavours. Try it ;)
@@netvaper back to 70/30 question: so what do you do with a 60ml shortfill that contains 50ml of 70/30 juice to achieve 9mg? Do you dump 3x 10ml bottles of 18mg? There's simply no space for that in a 60ml bottle. and wouldn't it dilute the flavours? Very interested to know your solution to this conundrum. Also, are you on simple Nic or NicSalt? I think I need to find a way to bump my NicSalt to 6mg when on MTL. When on DTL at 40W-65W I was ok with 3mg, but on MTL at 18W, I feel there's not enough of nicotine.
Interesting reading Garen😊 especially the two & half year steeping!! Btw if you want to tighten a spaced coil the best way is to fire the coil Red hot and with ceramic tweezers pinch the coil tight that will keep the coil in shape. As for turning a zero liquid to higher nicotine without diluting the flavour is only with adding 72mg nicotine VG or PG based, so for 50ml zero nicotine you need to add 6.4ml to make it a 9mg.
I started vaping in 2013 with a ready made coil and a crown atomizer the taste was perfect. But it was expensive every 2 days I needed a new coil. And had the same problem with DL so started MTL but the flavour was gone. And I bought so many atomizers. Till one year ago I bought the kayfun lite plus 2021 and fakirs mod Illusia D and this is for me the best combination and flavour together with a liquid from USA ripe vapes vanilla custard tobacco. And because of this is so perfect I'm afraid to buy or try an other atomizer 🤣 MTL vaping is relaxing a Zen moment. And I never do DL anymore. And sometimes I vape a Heisenberg. But please please 🙏 I would like to find a naturally sweet tobacco with caramel like the smell from a pipe tobacco or something with vanilla. But I like it sweet not sugar sweet but sweet a sweet smell. Can you help me Nathan?

Thank you Bas for your feedback. As Jonathan has replied the Tobilla 2 is one and if you like a butterscotch NET try the tobacco scotch from juice cabin. Another suggestion is the black Cavendish by La Tabaccheria. There is no vanilla but it is so aromatic and it actually taste like the sweet aromatic smell of pipe tobacco
The nautilus tank & coils are excellent Alan. Would you want another stock coil or MTL RTA. If a stock coil you after you have a good one already I recommend the Nautilus S2 0.7 Mesh coil, If you want a superb Aspire MTL RTA the Neeko is Highly recommended.
There so many options these days but 3 pop to mind. As i said Alan the Neeko is excellent watch my review, the neeko will get high rating in my best of 202. Another excellent choice is the Thunder Head Creations THC Elite MTL RTA Pro. If you want a mid to high budget but with the quality of a high-end is the Bishop. All 3 I reviewed plus many more that you can take a view on them & decide.
@DZY yes you can. The higher wattage on a lower ohm DTL coils is the what ruins the delicate tobacco notes. So on a 0.7 ohm i would not go higher then 20w the ideal is 14-18w

I've wasted soo much money on e liquids that even on the first draw tasted terrible to me I've thrown away more bottles than I could even put a number to (especially bad tobaccos from various companies) juice cabin net tobacco is the only thing that managed to keep me from going back to smoking I always know if I go off any of my other flavours, I can always pick up my flash e vapour with juice cabin organic burley and enjoy the vape

I can't agree more with you.Mtl is the only way to enjoy any liquid. I tried Rdl but is so weird for me,im only vaping NET tobacco but when im looking for some more fruity liquid i vape it only on mtl.

Interesting topic. But at the end of the video you have the assumption that become older and more enjoy on mtl style 😄😆. I can agree because, in my country that older people most enjoy on mtl style than dtl. The other side, more younger people enjoy dtl but also a few of them enjoy mtl

Nathan I am so grateful for your channel and am happy to say that I finally pulled the trigger and will soon be vaping on a Virginia as well as a Kentucky from Black Note! I finally rewatched this particular video and it is during a similar transition, in which I am quite abruptly turned off from my usual vaping style- .01 coils on mechs! Until recently my Mtl vaping was mostly reserved for “stealthy” scenarios, but something has changed recently and I suspect that you touched on a very key point in this video, specifically when you shared the perplexing logic of most vapers who won’t touch a tobacco flavour with a 20 ft pole! After watching this video again I asked myself why this was happening to me suddenly and it took me back to 2017 when I began vaping and 2018 when I exclusively vaped. During those times I could not understand why an “in your face bubblegum” was something I was supposed to be impressed by and why the flavours I wish existed were impossible to describe! Then it hit me. I was someone who to save money rolled his own cigarettes. This was generally not the case with the much younger Americans around me who tended to also earn more money and simply quit cigarettes. The key difference is that they didn’t fall in love with what I did, which was the smell of rolling tobacco, particularly when freshly opened and how this aroma carried so many memories of mornings for me along my coffee for years and through good times and bad times. The complexity of that aroma, I suspect, holds an important key to this mystery and I am partially thinking this knowing now how passionate you have been about cigars and their nuances…anyway thanks, forgive my novel! :^)

As for NET’s on MTL you certainly can find on this channel equally good quality NET’s that I reviewed to deliver a equally satisfying tobacco vape.
You are definitively an MTL gentleman forever, lucky you, less headache with "puzzle vape" games for you! As flavor addict, I must follow what each juice "tell me" as the "best" (subjective obviously) way to enjoy it and for this, I test every new liquid I purchase (synthetics for now, NETs very soon) in few attys (+-10) from MTL to RDTL to DTL (RTA and RDA) to find the best associations eliquid/atty(s) and/or the different taste feelings. As the feeling is totally subjective and can change depending many life and personal variations, the best way is your own, just test and test and test... You can enjoy the same dessert eliquid today in DTL at 60W and tomorrow to prefer the same in RDTL at 35W and maybe one week later in MTL at 15W, or all in one spread in same day. To be flexible and open mind in vaping experience is at my opinion a good way to enjoy the best vape long journey, same mind about different eliquid families (desserts, fruits, tobacco, fresh, Synthetics or NETs). I am someway very admiring with people who can enjoy one kit and one allday eliquid all year long, wiser and luckiest !!! I like to switch minimum 3 to 5 times per day of e-liquid so also way to vape too !!! The main reason I enjoy so much vaping (only 1mg nicotine now) is all these variations possible depending juices, attys, coils, cottons, driptips, mod signals, promises of pleasure combinations, almost endless! Remind me my former cigar quests long time ago. And thanks to you (your videos), I am waiting to receive my Dvarw FL MTL (I enjoy the DL one, so easy choice to pick a "modern" quality MTL atty) and first NETs (La Tabaccheria - Extra Dry 4POD - CAFFE D'ARABIA and 3 The Vaping Gentlemen Club concentrates Zefiro/Tivano/Sebastian) to test and maybe begin a new vape experience (But I will try also NETs in RDTL and DTL because I am too curious to miss the experience even it is not the right/recommended way!). When I first started vaping it was mtl but I was still smoking primarily. It was the DL that actually got me off of cigarettes back in 2016 though. I didn't really dabble back into MTL until a year or so ago and it's been my primary method of vaping since. The reason being is I feel more comfortable vaping mtl I'm thinking it might be because of your point of it being more of a natural method of nicotine intake, I find it more satisfying and due to the higher strength of nicotine I don't find myself vaping as much as I did on a DL device with 3 mg nicotine. This is another major milestone I remember as well, but now I wonder if how we are defining dl/Mtl might be crossing over into a difference that both vaping styles have vs smoking? I am saying this because I remember that even though my first device was probably some sort of Mtl draw i had to learn how to inhale the Vapor because otherwise I would cough. The moment I figured it out was awesome but if I describe it it would definitely sound like I am describing a dl draw, since it wasn’t until I had to forget to “suck” on the draw and instead “breathe”
the draw. The issue though with these definitions is that I am not sure if that “breathe” the draw is necessarily dl or simply how to vape! I say this because it is still how I would pull on Mtls of different restrictions, but then again make it tight enough and that little cough could happen! Lol
This video is spot on. I am trying MTL again using a Taifun GTR. The vape is flavourful but makes me cough. I'm not used to the throat hit. I also have a complex micro alien in it.
I agree with you how the flavours are more pronounced the lower the wattage and longer the draw. I'm mostly RDL, Dwarv with the 2x2,5mm insert and the Squape ARise with the 5x.8mm insert. Even with RDL I'm getting so much more flavour than DL. Good video

One thing I want to make you aware of is that some citrus aromas can crack pc / delrin / plastic tanks. I even cracked a kayfun lite 2019, lucky I was able to buy new glass.

I’ve come to realize that there are two types of smoker, those who enjoy the taste of tobacco and those who merely tolerate it for the nicotine it supplies, I myself was one of the latter, I haven’t been a vaper for that long having made the switch in February of 2015, some might say that’s quite a while but I was a smoker for over 38 years prior to that so for me it’s not that long.
In my time as a vaper I’ve always vaped mouth to lung and have never tried direct to lung vaping partly due to a mental block but mainly the lack of inclination and have always preferred simple single fruit flavour e-liquids, I vaped blueberry for the first two years, then raspberry for the next two follow by a year on blackcurrant then back to raspberry switching to home brew e-liquids 6 months in and using RTAs from around the same time.
As a vaper I suppose I’m quite boring, but it takes all sorts right :)
You would be surprised David how many vapers I know are exactly like you and stick to one flavour for years. I know someone who only vapes 18mg black current liquids from one particular manufacturer and he buys them in bulk. And that keeps him satisfied. I hate to think what will happen if they stop this line of flavour I hope for his sake they never do😊

I can relate to your comment Daniel the only difference is I do not vape nic salts & NET’s are my true barrier from smoking again. Well done for 5 years smoke free it is obvious your way is working for you.

There is a saying;”once bitten,twice shy.
For some Ex smokers as high as the expectation from Tobacco vaping was the first experience turn as such traumatic and let down for many reasons;
Wrong RTA,wrong build,trying flavored synthetic tobaccos,remember the ashy of cigarettes (many didn’t enjoy cigars nor pipes)and so on and on.
The some of whole Eventually turn them away from Tobacco related vapes.
How ever I’m sure for those who did enjoy cigars and pipes regularly or occasionally the right RTA with the right build can work magnificent charms with the present quality of NET Tobaccos available.
When it come to NETs (on good setup and educated build) there is more satisfactory involved then only NIC and taste as I believe some part of WTA (Whole Tobacco Alkaloids)may be presence in the e liquid.
At list to some extent.
This may result in giving better satisfaction and lessen more the Tobacco cravings to good measure then just synthetic Lab NIC.
Nicotine is the major alkaloid as 90% but there some more in Tobacco and depending on the extraction method some (not all as this required different method then cold macerated) value of this other Alkaloids may get extracted in the concentration.
No point expending more as there are miles on miles of educating old forum discussions on the matter.
and I’m not qualified on the matter just a curious vaper who like to read now and then.
When I crave Tobacco nothing but NET work for me.
It may be for the above reason.
On occasions here end there I vape other flavours using my other MTL RTA’s but for short durations and using a bit more loos airy MTL setups.
I don’t like the same tightness and consecrated taste for none NET as for NETs.
Because NETs carry subtleties nuances I use my top higher END for them.
and because Flavoured E liquids sometimes are in’yer’face kind of pronounced I like them more airy (less tiring for me)but no DL airy nor RDL.
I do get DL at times can be fun for clouds but I prefer sipping my tipple more in quality then in quantity and it’s mostly reflected on my vaping style.
an easy measure drew and taste.
To each is own and many as different
but it’s MTL that simulates better the old ashy habit for me.

I am 99% MTL vaper. Occasionally I bring out my RDL gear for a blast, but I vape everything MTL and I mostly agree with you. I however find MTL sweetness much stronger than DTL and I find my MTL vape seems hotter to me. Maybe because I can't handle 60+ watt clouds DTL and with all the airflow the coils don't get as hot as my 13- watt MTL coils.

Maybe you notice the sweetness more as MTL because the vapour is tasted more on the inhale & exhale rather like a cigar so your taste buds are already picking up all those flavours immediately Vs DTL that is mainly on the exhale and your taste buds do not have a chance to fully appreciate the full flavour spectrum on the exhale. I wonder if I am right. As for the heat for me it is the reverse it is cool on 16w with fairly tight drew. We all experience things differently and I find that fascinating

I never missed any of your videos as I extremely appreciate your efforts and enjoy your opinions on vaping equipment. I’m an MTL person and I’ve been in the vaping/MTL realm for almost 3 years my first year was between here and there smoking my rolling tobacco cigarettes, but now I’m straight up vaping enjoying my MTL RTAs’ that I always count on you of picking them up as you’re always my main reference. Commenting on the last part of your video about quitting smoking by vaping something else than tobacco I know that it’s kinda a paradox however, I usually vape a sweet tobacco(synthetic tobacco with caramel) locally made here in Egypt by a friend of mine and it’s not an NET as it’s hardly to get your hands on NET liquids here in Egypt, but recently I picked up a Black Note Virginia liquid it was my first time to try out an NET liquid. Here’s what happened I freshly wicked my Bishop and I only filled less than a ml I took the first puff! I was shocked for a second! How this could be as close as to my Virginia tobacco I used to roll back in the day! For a second after 2 years of not craving a cigarette can’t stand by anyone smoking because how much I hate its smell! I started to crave a cigarette! I had a lot of flashbacks how I was enjoying my cigarettes! Then I realised that NET isn’t for me. I used to love tobacco and I now understand how NET liquid are raw and pure that could highly mimic a real cigarette smoking. But I decided not take this road again because I can’t see myself smoking a cigarette after all of that! I instantly switched to my sweet synthetic tobacco liquid that satisfies my cravings and kept me away from smoking for almost 3 years now. Who knows that maybe in the future I’ll give it another chance but for now I’ll keep vaping non NET liquids still tobacco liquid and I might change my mind and try a bit of fruity liquids as I’ve learnt from you today. I agree completely, I love a cool vape, I'm primarily MTL, and usually a 29 gauge 1.4 ohm round wire build, and only at 9-10 Watts,
but I do like the odd direct lung, but even on direct lung I like 0.3-0.6 ohm coils amd only around 25-35 watts,
One of the main reasons I like your reviews is because it's primarily MTL, I also like watching a reviewer called Jackson Vape Reviews as he's one of the only reviewers that does his eliquid reviews both direct lung and MTL,
Also I started MTL (and vaping) around 6 and a half years ago, I started on a Virginia tobacco, and only after a couple of months I just tried a eliquid by suicide bunny called cake and cream, simply out of curiosity, and I absolutely loved it, then I found their mothers milk, a strawberry custard, and Arise by the cloud company also a strawberry custard but heavy VG, and it alone has been my all day vape ever since,
I wanted to quit smoking as it was effecting my health but now I cannot ever see me quitting vaping as I actually enjoy it rather than 'having' to do it.

Great video as always and it brought some discussion because everyone is different.
I personally, vape everything mtl, dl, rdl, and sometimes even a disposable.
I kind of do it differently.
All my juices are at six mg freebase.
In the beginning i did vape higher nic lvls with mtl because that is what you were supposed to do. Now i am down on my nic dependency and settled at 6mg. Never understood the rationale that you have to vape higher nic lvls if you smoked cigarettes, but you smoked lets say, 9mg cigarettes.
I vape naturally extracted tobacco as dl and getting even more flavour then mtl.
Also if iwould give a try to a friend my ( at that time) best NET ever without telling him what it was and he would not even recognise it as tobacco.
In my opinion the whole difference between dl and mtl is "high wattage-lower resistance " "low wattage- high resistance" and flavour comes with the cotton, coil and space it is heated.
Another fact is that once a juice bottle is opened it goes like a bottle of wine it has deteriorated the nex day, so once you go through half of a 60ml juice bottle the flavour is not the same.
Another factor is that us long term smokers have our taste buds messed up, so what for somebody is a great flavour, somebody else might find it muted.
Personally, i can not do NETs everyday because after a while it becomes just a grassy taste so i have to have a break from it. Love them dearly.
Smokers do not taste the flavour of cigarettes after a while, they just feel right.
That are my five cents on this.

I can also feel in myself that DL feels boring.
But eventually I can state that DL is a phase in vaping if you are a former smoker.
In the beginning, DL was fun because there are big clouds coming. But when fun fades, I started to focus a lot more on the taste. But it's also because many producers fill their juice with sugar. Then I lost my sense of taste. So mtl was my solution to start enjoying vaping again.

I mostly vape fruits and desserts. Three years ago stopped smoking and I started with synthetic tobaccos and hated their taste. So I switched to fruits and desserts, but since seeing your reviews I have started to wonder whether what I hated was the very synthetic flavour of the synthetic tobaccos. In any case, I enjoy watching your reviews because you seem to speak from your heart - honest passion is always attractive. (I generally seem to like 0.6 ohm at 17watts in the airy MTL/restricted DTL border)
Thanks Roger. I highly recommend you to try a good Virginia NET to start with I am fairly certain you would find full satisfaction. I dislike the taste of synthetic tobacco but Natrurally extracted tobacco is on a whole different level you should try it. Nothing to loose max you spend a few pounds😊

I just want to wish you good lack with your mtl atomizers since some of the fruits will ghost them and you will not be able to enjoy the fine tobacco nuances of your NETS again unless you change all the orings that touching the liquids. Thanks Drakos I like you fast & furious terminology😊 I always clean my MTL’s thoroughly and any strong flavoured liquids I designated a few RTA’s that I only use for those liquids.
I smoked for 20+ years. Quit via vaping 3 years ago and I’ve only ever vaped mtl and only fruits. Honestly, I didn’t really enjoy tobacco flavour even when I smoked. Lol. I’m in it for the tasty flavour 100% so it’s like a treat. Like eating dessert all day because I vape pretty constantly. I go through probably 15ml juice a day and have been zero nicotine for well over a year. Great video. Thanks for sharing your views. Gonna check out your juice reviews next. 😁

Gum bleeding, nose bleeding, heart burn, pain in right kidney area, almost everyday diarrhea, weakness, anxiety, heavy feeling in the centre of chest. I quit vaping but came to rolling tobacco, I have brown teeth again, but all symptoms during vaping are disappeared. Do you or your friends have problems from vaping?

So I am very surprised to hear all departments of my improvement has deteriorated by you. I am no doctor but you might be allergic to the wire of the coil or PG or nicotine poisoning.Your symptoms from vaping as you assume are very rare and needs further investigation. In fact you are the first I have ever heard such alarming symptoms from supposedly vaping.

DL was for me the way to go four years ago, possibly for the reason of getting far away from smoking cigarettes as much as possible.
And the usage of apparently very much sweetened juice backed me off MTL stuff a long time, i think mainly because getting used to DL so much, and there only fruit vapes.
Otherwise this sweetened stuff never was enjoyable in any MTL vaporiser because it wasn't overtoned but oversensitizes in DL to such a somewhat replacable result.
It seems that simple for me.
The last four months i went almost totally to MTL , mainly for the reason of the upcoming taxes here in germany, which totally ignore the fact of harm reduction and are horrendous, especially concerning the estimated costs for DL vaping in the near future.
It's political will in germany to row in vaping in general to smoking tobacco by all means, ideologically, at least in my assumption.
Independent of any nicotine in ANY used liquids, e.g. sheer base, there will be a tax of finally 3,20€ on 10ml of EVERYTHING that you fill in a bottle!
Ironically this led me to switch to MTL, and i already like it so much more...wasn't aware of how a good tobacco vape can be or even nutty stuff with a little hint of fruit as well.
Agree with you in all explanations you make in what the differences are.
MTL puts the taste and enjoyment in the foreground in potentially such a full vaping experience, if you become acquainted to it.
Less is here widely more in a good sense.

As you sad doesn't matter how you vape till keep you away from cigarettes. For people who doesn't care is it DL or MTL ( new vaper's) I would like to point MTL advantage VS DL, - you save a liquid, battery and size of device. All the best to everyone.

I've started to vape at the end of 2013 and I've started from MTL type of devices. After so many years of vaping, I've gone from MTL to DL RTAs with two coils. Last two years I use mostly MTL and RDL devices. I was tired of huge clouds and huge airflow. DL devices give you a lot of sweetness but not details of the flavor.
With my experience, I can say that RDL on the tanks with changed airflow via pins, somewhere on the 2.0 or 2.5 you can get the flavor best out of two worlds. It's not so open and direct to your lungs and not so tight as MTL. You can get the flavor on the inhale and exhale.
Now I use two devices: for MTL it's a Pioneer RTA with 1.2 pin and BilletBox with Pioneer Insider with 2.5 pin and so happy with the rich flavor I get on both devices.

I'm using mtl for a year now, I'm a DL vaper before mainly enjoying fruity liquids(mentholated), I have tried tobbaco eliquids for mtl and it's not really my style so I'm using fruity desserts and menthols on mtl and it's truly enjoyable.

Very nice review, I enjoy the detail you put into your videos. I smoked for over 25 years and got into vaping early on, and have vaped for over 10 years now. I'm mainly into DTL, but do MTL at night with a strong fruity menthol mix. I feel my vaping style may be changing, I purchased a Glaz Mini for my wife after watching your review. I'm looking for a great MTL RTA (have been using a Nautilus for years, but that's just pre-built coils) but after watching several of your reviews just can't figure out what I'm after.

@@netvaper thank you.. I guess I'm being too picky as I have been using an Aspire Nautilus for years and the coils last a good 2-4 weeks and changing them is very easy. With the new pact act, the excise tax and signature fee it makes it difficult to pay that much for coils when I know I can rebuild for pennies. The Glaz is nice, but cleaning and rewicking is a chore. I don't like the o-rings, I almost lost a couple while washing. I don't like plastic so a lot of tanks (for my taste) are out. I guess I was looking for ease of rebuild, flavor and some type of capacity. The Bishop looks like the front runner, but I think it should have top fill. I like the Ares 2, but not the plastic membrane on it. I think I'll hold off with a decision until I watch your best of 2021 video.
Well Pat the Bishop has a new top fill cap!! and i can highly recommend the Bishop or the Ripley (RDTA is a bit different design) in my books it is one of the best mid budget MTL for 2021, that for the money i can confidently claim you are getting near high end quality. My best of 2021 would reflect the above😊

You and I come from the same pod, like you, I had to figure this out as well.
Myself I have changed vaping tobacco all day.
Now in the morning, with my coffee, I enjoy vaping my international blend, it is made using Rye8, Virginia, and Soho Italian, all 9MG, 70/30 VG/PG.
Now in the afternoon I switch over to fruits and candied, my favorite being Cream sickle, Blue Slushie, and mid afternoon a Strawberry cheesecake, or blue berry cheesecake.
Now in the evening I will go with a nice scotch I will vape my Turkish..
Like you have mentioned in your video when you change from tobacco's to other flavors it just makes the return back to the tobacco that much more satisfying, I think our taste buds need that break up, and by doing this allows for flavors to be so much more pronounced!

Indeed. Its a very interesting report from Nathan. While I am sure many will have a different opinion, I can relate to what Nathan describes.
I've been following your videos for quite a while and never knew that you vaped mouth to lung only with your net tobaccos. Most of your reviews have been for MTL devises, so I assumed that you vaped your fruit juices on those devises. I started vaping 2 years ago with a DTL stock coil tank which was recommended by a local vape shop. Within 2 weeks I bought a refillable MTL pod system at a different shop and have not vaped DTL since that day. I now have several rebuildable MTL devices and vape all types of juice strictly MTL. As you say, it is what feels natural to me. DTL only caught on when vapers began to focus on huge clouds, and that is no longer very popular. For me vaping is a simulation of smoking, so it's MTL all the way.
Thanks Chris I see I am not the only vaper who thinks MTL is way more natural way of vaping. But I think in the great scheme of things there are far more vapers who feel comfortable & natural to vape DTL. So to sup it up what ever works for any individual that is the right way for them.
I vaped DTL to start with, and in my head I wanted to get away from smoking all together and DTL and fruit, cake, custard vapes was away of doing that, I would get fed up of flavours so quick and change all the time, I had that many half finished bottles of juice that even my partner commented, I vaped mainly cake/ custard type vapes with the odd fruit flavored vape now and again and even then most fruits had to have some sort of cakeness or creaminess, I changed to MTL because I was getting fed up with DTL and even started craving cigarettes again, I switched to MTL and net liquids, quite recently and really enjoy my nets, but every now and then I still have my favourite raspberry soufflé vape but mixed at 6mg at 60/40 mix and enjoy it a whole lot more MTL than I ever did dtl, back at the beginning DTL was the only way of vaping for me but now I just love and MTL, I smoked rollups and for me a cigar was a treat, in the end I didn't enjoy smoking because my chest was so bad and I only continued smoking because I couldn't quit
Well Dale I enjoyed reading your personal experience indeed I fully can relate to it.
Two things come into my mind. First its the nicotine. Many liquids that are marketed towards DTL crowd doesn't have high nicotine level, it usually came in 3 or 6 mg's. From what I know, and also reflected in the vaping scene in my country, MTL liquids usually comes at 9+ mg's of nicotine. I'm sure there are people who vape 3 or 6 mg's with MTL but I think they're not the majority.
Secondly, from what I can see, you have high quality liquids over there. So with any wattage you put into it, the flavor still come out nice. Back here in my country, liquids that are directed to DTL crowd have much more sugar than flavoring in it, so vaping it with lower wattage like in MTL resulted in only sweet taste with a faint flavor of whatever described.
Also many said that PG VG ratio plays a role in flavor delivery. And as DTL liquids usually are more higher in VG, and since VG needs higher temperature for it to vaporize, it's only suitable for higher wattage vaping, hence DTL. But on this one I'm still sceptical as I make my own MTL liquids, higher VG liquids doesn't affect the flavor, its negligible, if any.
For MTL I can't use less than 18mg there's no throat hit at all for me under that and doesn't satisfy me in any way, I use 6mg on drippers, it winds me up a lot that every shop where I live sells 2 and 3mg mainly and if you add the 10ml tpd nic shots it's far too diluted at even half my nic levels.. thankfully we can still order 72mg online even though technically it's illegal because I would've gone back to smoking otherwise

@@darkcore81 20mg is very high and would satisfy most smokers. I fully support a nicotine cap especially in disposables. In the US where one can get an insane 5% nic salt equivalent to 50mg is irresponsible in my opinion.
I mostly MTL on rebuildable and vape around 16 watts roughly. I find MTL with the tighter draws better for NETs and RY4s. Like yourself I don't toot on fruits all that often. The tanks with the wider draw or bigger airflow seem to work better for fruits from what I've found.

Hi...thanks for sharing this. While I am sure many will argue that DTL (and cloud chasers) is more pleasurable for a variety of reasons (and they would be justified), for me, MTL is also, as you put it, "natural". After watching some of your reviews, I am now going through two bottles from Black Note, which I like. But I also find that I enjoy refined RY4 justices to be attractive (for eg. Botany Bay Co's Robert Lindsay, and Basix's Butterscotch Reserve, among others). I suppose this is because I liked heavier flavourful pipe tobaccos. I now have to buy a 3rd MTL (I have the Pioneer and the Dvarw FL MTL). Nic level Rangers between 6mg and 9mg.

Excellent explanation and great effort. I am a fan of the mtl, and I like the narrow breath, I do not like a lot of smoke, and I like to taste the flavors in every breath. And he always saw that the dl smoker does not feel the taste of the flavor except when he exhales or smokes

There are quite a few. I will suggest my top 3 mid budget MTL that i reviewed mostly in 2021 (watch my long review of "my best of 2021" for more options) and the latest MTL I uploaded yesterday. 1) The Bishop by Ambition mods 2) The Aromamizer Classic by Steam crave 3) Pandora V2 by Yachtvape
Flavorless 90% VG solved all my problems.
Sometimes i use a drop of RY4 in a 2 ml tank.
The subtle sweetness of VG goes with any drink and it is the closest to the experience of smoking,at least for me.
Everyone should give it a try for a couple of days.

I have never vape DTL, that is why I cannot share my experience in this side. For 1,5 years I have vape only MTL. With your consistent help, I have learned about Naturally Extracted Tobbaco and as you know, I am a definitely NET vape. I would say that I agree with you 100%: NET cannot be DTL. Sensitive organic (natural) molecules would be simply burnt by high temperatures (high Watts). One italian video, which inspired me said NET should be 1,2-2 ohms with 9-12 Watt. As a result I vape 2,1 ohm / 10W and 1,51ohm/11,5 W. Maybe seems strange but it works beautifully: cold vape, full aroma spectrum, of course depending on which RTA I used. RTA's most used: Spica Pro (2,1ohm) for clear NET and By-ka version 8 for dark (mixtures) with 1,51ohm at 11,5 W. Thank you once again.

Thank you for the video. I like fruity e-juices like lava flow , very barry, etc made by Naked-100 and similar. Recently I tried to switch to MTL devices but the problem is the higher resistance coils (Ni80) combined with low power would not give me the flavor I get from my DL RTA Taifun GT4. I bought Kayfun lite plus (2021) based on many positive reviews but it wouldn't give me the full range of flavor that GT4 does. Some vapors say that poor flavor producing by MTL devices caused by VG/PG ratio but in most cases there's no option to specify that number when buying the e-liquid. I'm curious if you or your subscribers could share their experience to help me get to the right path. Thanks again for your story.

Most vapers Do find fruity / dessert liquids especially creamy / custard better tasting on DTL & higher wattage and it stands to reason, as lower ohms & higher wattage vaporises much more liquid, so the flavours are much more intense and that is where the problem for me personally, the "Intense" part, too intense for me. So i found that MTL reduces the intensity, you might categorise it as less flavourful & you are probably right but for me it is too much, so i rather taste a bit less on the intensity but enjoy it for longer. That said some liquids i myself prefer on DTL RTA/ RDA on 40-60w especially when they are complex & well layered. To sum it all up, it is very personal and you vape the way you like it best!!! and keep your Kayfun Lite for tobacco liquids that taste amazing on lower wattage 14-18w on a MTL 0.8-1.0 ohm coil
Thc elite was giving difficulties for me when wicking and it was lasting me a day compared to bishop, which now last me 4 days on the same liquid.

Hi Nathan!!! I'm your opinion what is the bestest MTL rta's, for vaping (pure) fruit juices ? I don't use DL at all. It's been a problem to me, to found a decent MTL who (really) work good with fruit juices. With NET juices I have no problem on my MTL s, but after testing some different MTL rta's, I'm struggling to found a good MTL rta who has a sharp defined flavour on fruit juices (without turning them sweet). Generally MTL rta's "round" the fruit flavours, looking more like a "Cream". But I don't vape pastery or "creams" due to being generally "sweet", which I don't like that much. Mainly I use "pure" fruity juices (fresh/acid/citric). Thanks!!!

when i do DL i taste on inhale too, i put my tongue sort of in a way of vapor so its glides over taste buds. just my thing

Yes Ali that is what I am working on now but not specifically for fruity or tobacco as they are equally good on both flavour profiles. especially on my top tier MTL’s. If I will categories each MTL for all types of liquids it would take me hours😊

I would give you a heads up Ali. As i had major vacuum & leaking issues with the Expromizer V5 i will not mention it in my best of 2021. The V4 & 1.4 are way better in that aspect. So far from all the Expromizer's the V4 is still the best. Although the flavour on the V5 (same deck as the V4) is superb but the new top cap design that in my opinion causes the troublesome vacuum and very annoying leaking has ruined the V5 for me. As for the Elite Pro it will get a high score in the mid budget MTL's it is superb.
It's a tricky one with me I've tried to make my own fruits and after about 4ml it becomes bland the only thing that works for me is cinnamon hot or caramel and coffee mint but I need a bit of a palette cleanser from my nets any advice or suggestions would be appreciated (using 415 mtl for fruit)
Yes I agree Paul. I found the lemon curd by the rochford project a palette cleanser or any good quality lemony liquid. My tobacco liquids taste so much better after a short vape on the mentioned liquids

I take it you would need to add 7.5ml of 72mg Nicotine to make those 50ml shortfills 9mg am I correct?.
To be accurate Paul. If you have exactly 50ml zero nic add 6.3ml of 72mg nic. If you have a 60ml bottle filled with liquid as many times happens when you choose leave it zero option then add 7.5ml of 72mg. I add to the 60ml juice cabin NET’s 7.6ml as it is easier to round it off. All the above will make it 9mg.

HI NET good content , I've gone from a DL to a RDL / MTL setup just recently and really enjoying it . So if i was to change my 70vg 30pg ,3mg juice to a 6mg juice for RDL/MTL how do i calculate how much extra nicotine do i need to add thanks

Well Adam I would have suggested the Pioneer purely for flavour but the wicking is crucial to get it right. So I would recommend the Neeko as a wiser choice as an excellent all rounder every day MTL that would deliver very good flavour as well also the build quality is way better and the airflow is butter smooth. I use the Neeko nearly daily you would enjoy the vape that is for certain.

Just received my Oxva Arbiter Solo (very nice indeed, can finally feel the flavours, depth and notes), put a handmade alien clapton 0.75ohm, wicked some Firebolt cotton in - so far mostly ok at 24W. I'm getting some juice in my mouth every now and then, but that's maybe because I brushed the wick too much (and too thin) and also set the coil rings slightly apart.
But my main question is about VG/PG ratio and correct nicotine concentration for MTL. All my juices are from DTL era - they're all 70VG/30PG and 3mg concentrate (Salt). I've heard that MTL is supposed to be 50VG/50PG, and the nicotine is supposed to be 18mg and up (cause you're vaping at much lower wattage). What kind of VG/PG ratio are your juices? and what kind of nicotine concentration should I go for?
So far, I just dumped 2x 10ml 70VG 20MG(strength) bottles into 120ml shortfill which had 100ml of liquid in it. But something tells me that might not be enough nicotine for MTL. What do you think?
Also, Rochford Project does them only in 70/30 ratio. So how are you vaping them MTL?

Hi Garen. I vape MTL on 70VG/30PG all day long without any problems. Nowadays MTL RTA’s can cope with 80VG as well without no issues. As for nicotine, I vape 9mg freebase on MTL and that is perfect for me you don’t need high nicotine on MTL it is purely down to your personal preference. I started on 18mg then down to 12mg for a few months and now on 9mg and perfectly satisfied. As for liquid in the mouthpiece you answered it already, too thin cotton & spaced coil perfect recipe for spit back (hot liquid squirted upwards when vaporised). Enjoy the Solo.
@@netvaper Thanks for the detailed answer. You vape, you learn. I rewicked with a slightly thicker cotton, and the problem is partly resolved. Tried to push the coil together, but alas, it's like a spring - once spaced, it will always remain spaced. Good thing that I purchased a mix-&-match of 10 coils (all 0.8ohm). But once I brought it down from 24W to 18W, it seems to be ok - no spitbacks.
My all-day-vape, which is a variation of strawberry-cream/cheesecake with ripe-strawberry on top, tastes delicious. I make these myself. As I was stranded outside of the country for 2+ years (Brexit/lockdowns/long-story) these have been slow steeping for 2.5 years, and now they're like nothing that I have ever tasted. I even purchased some premium brands, like Suicide Bunny, Cuttwood, Project Rochford, etc, to compare and see if they're doing this profile better (so far they're not).
Now, I need to find a perfect morning juice to go with a morning coffee. Somehow still finding myself smoking 2 cigarettes with that first cup, because doing a massive DTL first thing after you wake up really hurts. I remember you had a special recipe (Toffee or caramel or something) that you made a video about. Gonna look it up.
I bought the Arbiter Solo, just as a beginner MTL experiment to see if MTL is for me (Arbiter Solo seems to be simplest of them all). If over time MTL proves to be my thing, I think my next purchase will be Pandora2 and then Bishop - each RTA with its own juice for different times of the day.
So far I'm liking the silence of it, the whole MTL pattern which is very close to emulating the way I smoke cigarettes, rollies and pipe, the slight throat hit experience, relatively discreet cloud (which doesn't trigger the smoke alarm); the flavours are deeper and with articulated notes, and at 18W the battery on my old mod with 2500mA can last more than a day (whereas with DTL I recharged 2-3 times a day). So, yeah - a lot of pluses. If I ever want a nargile/shisha experience, I still have my mesh DTL :)
By the way, I noticed that occasional puffing, much like puffing on a pipe (i.e drawing a vape, then drawing some fresh air from a side into the mouth, then drawing a vape again, and so on) dramatically improves the flavours. Try it ;)
@@netvaper back to 70/30 question: so what do you do with a 60ml shortfill that contains 50ml of 70/30 juice to achieve 9mg? Do you dump 3x 10ml bottles of 18mg? There's simply no space for that in a 60ml bottle. and wouldn't it dilute the flavours?

Also, are you on simple Nic or NicSalt?
I think I need to find a way to bump my NicSalt to 6mg when on MTL. When on DTL at 40W-65W I was ok with 3mg, but on MTL at 18W, I feel there's not enough of nicotine.
Interesting reading Garen😊 especially the two & half year steeping!! Btw if you want to tighten a spaced coil the best way is to fire the coil Red hot and with ceramic tweezers pinch the coil tight that will keep the coil in shape. The DIY liquid that you mentioned I reviewed is now available to buy on bestcigliquid uk website called Kinamon
As for turning a zero liquid to higher nicotine without diluting the flavour is only with adding 72mg nicotine VG or PG based, so for 50ml zero nicotine you need to add 6.4ml to make it a 9mg.
I started vaping in 2013 with a ready made coil and a crown atomizer the taste was perfect. But it was expensive every 2 days I needed a new coil. And had the same problem with DL so started MTL but the flavour was gone. And I bought so many atomizers. Till one year ago I bought the kayfun lite plus 2021 and fakirs mod Illusia D and this is for me the best combination and flavour together with a liquid from USA ripe vapes vanilla custard tobacco. And because of this is so perfect I'm afraid to buy or try an other atomizer 🤣 MTL vaping is relaxing a Zen moment. And I never do DL anymore.
And sometimes I vape a Heisenberg.
But please please 🙏 I would like to find a naturally sweet tobacco with caramel like the smell from a pipe tobacco or something with vanilla. But I like it sweet not sugar sweet but sweet a sweet smell. Can you help me Nathan?
Hi bas , juice cabin tobillla is a NET with a smooth vanilla , it's delicious and it's lovely in the kayfun . Any NET tobaccos are . Nice set up btw , I have the same set up 😊👍. There tobacco scotch is also nice . I've got almost all of there NETS and hybrid NETS.

Thank you Bas for your feedback. As Jonathan has replied the Tobilla 2 is one and if you like a butterscotch NET try the tobacco scotch from juice cabin. Another suggestion is the black Cavendish by La Tabaccheria. There is no vanilla but it is so aromatic and it actually taste like the sweet aromatic smell of pipe tobacco

The nautilus tank & coils are excellent Alan. Would you want another stock coil or MTL RTA. If a stock coil you after you have a good one already I recommend the Nautilus S2 0.7 Mesh coil, If you want a superb Aspire MTL RTA the Neeko is Highly recommended.

There so many options these days but 3 pop to mind. As i said Alan the Neeko is excellent watch my review, the neeko will get high rating in my best of 202. Another excellent choice is the Thunder Head Creations THC Elite MTL RTA Pro. If you want a mid to high budget but with the quality of a high-end is the Bishop. All 3 I reviewed plus many more that you can take a view on them & decide.
For me mtl with tobacco and no tobacco and i use dwarf spica pro and bika v8.

@DZY yes you can. The higher wattage on a lower ohm DTL coils is the what ruins the delicate tobacco notes. So on a 0.7 ohm i would not go higher then 20w the ideal is 14-18w

None of my liquids are zero. Tobacco & any other on MTL 9mg & fruit on DTL 3mg

I've wasted soo much money on e liquids that even on the first draw tasted terrible to me I've thrown away more bottles than I could even put a number to (especially bad tobaccos from various companies) juice cabin net tobacco is the only thing that managed to keep me from going back to smoking I always know if I go off any of my other flavours, I can always pick up my flash e vapour with juice cabin organic burley and enjoy the vape

Interesting topic. But at the end of the video you have the assumption that become older and more enjoy on mtl style 😄😆. I can agree because, in my country that older people most enjoy on mtl style than dtl. The other side, more younger people enjoy dtl but also a few of them enjoy mtl

@@dmusk not at all, i vape 70Vg 30PG on all my MTL's. Nowadays any descent MTL RTA or stock coil tanks even Pods can come with 70/30 with no issue
