- Let's build and sell a Dating application using ChatGPT! I've seen lots of tutorials on using ChatGPT to do simple tasks, but in this video we're going to use it for a more complex task. ChatGPT will assist us through the entire end- to-end build pipeline using Twilio, Node.JS, Next.JS, Stripe, React.JS, and Fly.io for instant deployment. I already made a few sales from friends to make sure the code works and they love it. Rather than monetize this, i'm open sourcing it for you. Go out there and build your wildest dream with ChatGPT, make some profit, and then come back here and tell us about it!

May want to do a little search on UA-cam about Siraj and his past controversies, in the past allegedly may have cut corners, charged his fans for lessons that were not as advertised, etc I’m just summarizing what I recall watching a year or two ago and the claims others made.

Great stuff but... how do you link the landing/webpage to all of the code? The code by itself does not work as I'm not getting any answers back from GPT when I text the number. Once the customer pays for the service, how does he access the app? Cool concept but it doesn't necessarily work.
Technology is catching up to what Siraj wants to do.

I try to create with python for it, but bot used as a chief. The idea is improved with text to speech from google library. So when we ask by text, It will answer by voice to us. But I still have some issues when using twilio for send audio with format mp3 and twilio have limitation character for send messages. Any ideas for tips or another library for Whatsapp?

Yes, you need a pre built enterprise allocated in a country that support Stripe. Stripe ask you social number too (only for identification).

Hey Siraj, cool tutorial thanks! But 1 question (pls if anyone can answer this), why would anyone use this dating coach app via a GPT3 API when instead they can literally access ChatGPT and ask it directly for free?
Is this not just adding additional unnecessary layers? If someone could enlighten me I would be very grateful 🙏
No reason. The only thing that will make users use different services and sites will be the UI/UX and the overall look of the app.
However, People will build on top of NLP technology. Like create a 3d model human and connect that to GPT3, so users can ask questions using voice and using the 3d model get a human like response and create a face to face interaction.
There are a million other use cases and ideas and time will tell what all this comes down to :)
I believe, in the near future, all such domain-specific apps will have to be separate from the current GPT service. The approach or process will be similar to transfer learning with image models such as Resnet, where you tune the large model for specific needs with proper checks and balances. Siraj's architecture/software design/deployment approach will change in the future for sure if we need to scale, but this is a learning experience for a lot of people, so kudos to Siraj.

I have got a question, one user can consume a few hundred tokens easily in an hour-long usage of chatgpt and after checking their API prices, I doubt it's a profit-making business even at $100/month. Please let me know if you've worked on commercials?

Thanks Siraj, loved the content. In reality, when you are building B2C could you please include also the strategy for getting users to your landing page? This is an important part of the MVP that is often oversaw. If you are like me, and I really think you are, we are always having ideas on how to make money, but one has to consider the amount of money that must be poured into marketing so we have a full cycle from advertisement to sales.

I guess once the number is exposed it can be used by anyone. We could maybe maintain list of paid user phone numbers and white list them.

so you don't have to use next.js. it's just a way to more quickly prototype a react web app. they pre-built a lot of modular components but you can go custom with react alone.

I was getting this because fly would always default installation to my C drive, but the Github repo was on an external drive. Switching it to internal resolved it for me.

What I don't understand is how can this be useful since that's just a boiler plate AI and anyone can use it. Shouldn't you train your AI to provide a specific service. I would love if you would go in depth with that.

Hey Siraj, idea for next video: Make a video using only AI. Also, I'm sure you could make the use of the openai key safer by fixing a bit of code. It was a bit sloppy but really quick, so good job on that.
