I love these "wired" moments. ALL of the leagues should be doing more of these. Obviously, you're gonna have to have "sanitized" audio in order to comply with FCC regs, but I think even sanitized audio is better than nothin' at all.
Allen Iverson has to be one of the most frustrated, yet, respectable players to talk to a ref. You can tell he is very angry, very frustrated. But he still kind of keeps his composure, and never talks in a demeaning manner.
In the 1970s there was a game where Gene Shue was coaching and all of a sudden word spreads among the media people courtside that there was a brawl going on at another game. Shue hears a radio guy talking about "riot in Dallas." Somebody says they heard Dick Motta had just punched a ref. Shue says, "I don't know who the ref was, but I hope it was Dick Bavetta." And it was.
The worst part of this era of officiating in NBA, well obviously besides the horrible and Corrupt Refs, was the announcers always having the Refs backs instead of noticing the real issue
Great stuff! The NBA players that play in the league for 3+yrs develop a certain bond with these refs over time! I'm not saying there friends, because they're not; plus, NBA refs are not allowed to hang out with players-ever! But, there is a level of respect that is developed between the veteran players and the veteran referees over time that is admirable! There are a few refs that lack any ability to deal with players when they're upset and take things personal, but those are the exception! Most refs and players get along for the most part and if there are issues during a game, the next time they see each other, they will squash the matter and move on. I love these clips; gives us a great look at the 'meat' of the NBA!
Whoever that ref is that was speaking to iverson saying he had faith in him was the coolest thing i've seen a ref say to a player...don't remember watching that but that's how refs are supposed to be. Accountable & not riling up the players or having a boss mentality
I think Refs had something aganist Allen Iverson. He would always find a way to play through it with all his heart and love for the game. I don't think Refs liked C.Webb or Rasheed either.
The ref was so good with Iverson. You wouldn’t miss it. Made Allen smile. Have Faith 😃
M
"If I miss it I miss it...."
Iverson: :I
They should bring this shit back dude...
The Best part of it "IT AIN'T RIGHT"
😂😂😂😂

"Moments ago Rasheed Wallace was issued a technical". Mind Blown!
lmAO
They should really bring this back. It makes the games that much more engaging.

gonna love danny crawford he always respect players when they're talkin to him
The rare afro and facial hair Kobe
The rare number 8 Kobe, I remember he got 2 pieced him in the face and he was pissed lol
Hurts seeing Kobe, man.
Joe Forte went into alpha mode @2:04. Lol good shit.
Iverson is so chill though. The refs notice it and benefit him... sometimes.
I always wonder what refs and players say to each other..

LMFAO @ the way the whistle falls out of Hugh Evans' mouth while Iverson is going on.
Blazers/Lakers series are always the best
It's amazing how many blazers Lakers moments are in these compilations
Bring This Back
Mike Dunleavy sounds like Christopher Walken lol

Whenever Rasheed Wallace Is Mentioned In The Video It's Going To Be Good
The best bball I've ever seen played were the Lakers vs trailblazers and Lakers vs Sacramento, and I'm from Chicago

Danny Crawford is the best.
Danny Crawford giving Kobe tips...He is slick, wake up Kobe and don't get lured into it.
Is it just me or does the blazers coach at 4:35 look like Phil Jackson
lmao that is phil
Any chance of getting any newer clips? These are all pretty old.. still interesting to watch though.
They stopped wiring the refs, so I can only put up old clips. There is one exception though. You gotta check the fifth video.
@@mlunde84 why did they stop working refs? That's why I miss old school basketball
@@Cheersthewinners because they fix the games.
3:30 so shaq looked like a big Floyd Mayweather right there
NBA on NBC was the best.
This ref is the same else
From ref, he is slick. He should not tell Kobe that. It's like he is warning him.
I have no idea how id be a ref
The referee should be non stop wired, because they decided games, carrerrs and championships.
The "Shaq" rule ruined basketball.
Its a fact the refs banned together to make his nights miserable
what did the ref say? ''Are you....'' 1:19
+Victor K Are you finished?

"embarrassing, trying to show us up" Well, there's Joey Crawford in a nutshell, see Tim Duncan laughing call
What did AI say?? he trying.... "1:10
"He's right in front of you, man."
"He's right in front of you, man.
He's right in front of you, dude."
Joey Crawford is not in this video
PostNet Lobo
sure he is, 3:41
+Adam Lobodici U didnt recognize him with the hair , huh, lol dwl
refs nowadays should be a shame you shouldnt talk to players like theyre your friends cause then they'll expect special treatment
He was doing that move before James harden . James harden did it so much it’s now an illegal move
joe forte'n non call was some bs
Iverson vs the refs smh
how come they wired up the referees anymore
Because we would catch on to their lying
Honestly tho they should let this shit back , like I wonder why they removed this
Man, refs hated Iverson
NBA will always miss Iverson
More than half of these refs cheat and single out certain players, one of the main reasons why their ain't not big man
this isnt soccer where u play the advantage on a foul, in basketball you call the foul when u see it, straight bs
Lou whitaker
See the referees are infavor with lakers
Sixers should've won finals 2001
King's shouldve won wcf 2002
Blazers should've won wcf 2000
It's so blatant in these videos too. I'm just wondering when another Tim Donaghy type is gonna get caught.
weep clown
It's sad how some refs ruined some greats players career by being rigged like Allen Iverson & rasheed Wallace really sad man
F
V
I love that iverson is in every one of these lmfao crying ass. Him, reggie, and MJ had to the biggest crybabies ever ... love em all
