Such a good thing to have all the surveillance updated, keep the guards and horses safe, and everyone else.
It is not a petting zoo. Respect is due the soldiers and horses.
Most horses enjoy getting petted, but some don't, or learn to not like.

@@nikkiroman7015 but most don't know because they don't have horses. I believe a horse, or any animal will choose whom they want to pet them. Most of these people don't have respect for the horses and they know this. Anyway, that's what I think.
Right the horse has it they respect some people they put up with some then you have the ones who tolerate no one but who feeds them or rides them gives them the love they need or want that is why you keep people at bay when on the job as they can flip that switch at any moment
Very glad to see these cameras and a mostly uneventful video as far as visitors are concerned. I very much like your subject and method of video diary. Knowledgeable with no gimmicks. It's like being there at your elbow. And brilliant to have these storied soldiers as the background theme. Looked rather warm in London whilst it's getting chilly here in central Canada. I have no problem with security cameras, if you are not doing anything wrong what is the problem. How many pick pockets have been court on camera

People being stupid like that jogger, or anyone walking behind any horse, is just asking to get kicked. Not all horses or ponies will kick, but if you startle them, there's always a chance. And believe me, YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET KICKED BY THESE HORSES. They don't seem like they would, unless a dog or something is trying to bite their legs, or if something gets caught on their legs.
I had heard on another channel that their commander did have a few strong words for his troopers.

Maybe the signs arent out yet, because maybe their adding to the signs about the white lines perhaps? Not that tourists will read and obey that. We already know they dont always follow posted rules.

There are plenty of parks in London to jog around,why would you choose a Military Barracks ?
It seems a lot of the civil servants who work in Whitehall jog to St James's Park and back - via Horse Guards.
Because the signs say don't hold the reins which means you can go up to the horse but don't hold the veins they don't want you going to the horse dust I put the white lines up they don't need those signs at all if the people obey the white blinds around the horse

If the lack of drama means less spammers filming in the same position for hours on end, I'd see that as a huge positive.
It’s actually unfortunate that the signs are even needed! Please people look at the signs and abide by them! No excuse if you do not speak or read English, the Horse sign is self explanatory! Please have respect for the Guard and His/or Her Horse!!!
Do these comments get back to their commanding officer? I sure hope so that way they will know what the world is thinking. And they can let the guards know that they are lacking on their guard duties. And that is to guard and protect their horses.
Why do they make the horse stand in the mess instead of cleaning it up really quick?
After the 4pm Punishment Parade, the most disrespectful tourist of the day is tasked with cleaning up the boxes or accepting a £200 fixed penalty fine or a night in the cells at Charing Cross Police Station.

why are the soldiers FORGETTING to put the signs out the front next to the horses ?
Because like each and every one of us, they're only human and occasionally make mistakes.
When dismounting the horses, why do they slap the horses?
To let the horse know that the weight distribution will alter as they go to one side of the horse, they don't slap the horse they slap the leather on the saddle that protects horse from the stirrups
@@SherylMottram I read this answer a lot but I can't comprehend. The both slap the horse on the neck (!) and then only the one (!) Trooper slaps the saddle. Why not the other Trooper too?
