Soto has had his best offensive season to date and a lot of that has to do with batting in front of Judge. Lindor is great, but he doesn't strike the same fear as Judge. I think Hal sees, and knows this. I don't think the Baby Boss will deny his Father's legacy of spending on generational talent. I see Hal offering close too, if not matching any offer that isn't completely idiotic
Juan would be very foolish to leave such a great situation behind for pure greed. See Robinson Cano leaving NYY, and Albert Pujols leaving STL....big regrets by both of them. They were both miserable with their choices, aside from the extra money, which, did they really need it for all those years of aggravation?
Money isn't always necessarily the single biggest motivating factor, there can be a number of other intangible aspects that may make the difference between him remaining or accepting an offer from another team. He doesn't have to look very far for an example of the complete opposite from what Pujols and Cano chose to do. Judge had a higher contract offer from the Giants but chose to decline it and remain in NY instead. I'm sure that the two of them have had more than one conversation about this situation and IMO I think that he's gonna push for a large $$ deal but in the end I think he's going to call the Bronx home for the rest of his career
man I loved seeing betances play. great to see him on the show
Only in his mid 20's Soto might be inclined to not change teams yet again & enjoy the Yankees aura while in his prime.
Awesome interview Derek!!
If it’s a subway series winner gets Soto I take the over on the Yankees.

Agreed
If Soto would shohei money let him walk

You're full of crap, Soto can succeed on any team

Nah cheap Hal. But if we win World Series makes it little easier
I do think Steve Cohen will offer Soto much more than Hank will.
I do think the difference won’t be large enough for Soto to move
I will believe it when i see it
Let’s go dodgers and Yankees
Soto is a great player , but I hope the Yankees use the money to get Corbin burnes and Anthony Santander instead.
@@nelsonrodriguez4580 no
Nope. Going to Mets
Ooo
Definitely remaining a Yankee
