Exactly what I was going to write ... The hedgehogs will eat your slugs and snails, which will save your plants! They need to be able to move from garden to garden.
This video is full of things I love: gardens, kitties, old brick walls, good music, and a friend!! If you put your gardening gloves in a ziplock bag, you won’t have to worry about creepy-crawlies getting in them!🐌🕷🐛
Hi there🖐 Great clean up of the shed 👍a couple of things I would do - firstly I would move the brown shelf over to one side and put the tall white unit in the gap created which will free up much needed floor space - put up a couple of shelves on the wall above the table. The top one could be used for rarely used items (your paint pots, brushes etc., the paddling pool) on the lower shelf you could put a series of small boxes for eg. one could hold small hand tools - trowel, hand fork, secatuers, snips, gloves, a second one plant labels and marker pens, and another string, garden ties and sissors. Don't forget to lable each box with it's contents. The brown shelf could be used for putting the pots on as you do your potting up/sowing before you move them out into the greenhouse. The space created under the table (having put the paint etc. on the shelf) could be utilised by putting the little used incinerator there (turn the lid upside down) and use it to store your part used bags of compost. Just a few thoughts and I hope you find them useful😁😁😁
Oh we’re so not there yet temperature wise in Eastern Canada bit I can’t wait! Last year we weren’t supposed to make a vegetable garden but one day we woke up and decided to and we started from scratch because the spot we had was stolen from the neighbor! But in the end it’s all good, we’ll do that again this year ☺️ it would be good to have a potting shed like yours
You might want to consider a tall baker's rack style shelf to make the most of the space in that shed! In addition to the table to work on. And maybe some type of tall narrow cubby to put against the wall on the table for sorting. Cute little shed in your garden is really coming along beautifully!
Love your gardening vlogs, makes me want to get off my butt and go out into my postage stamp of a garden, as small as it is I'm very aware that I'm blessed to have a garden! Xxx
Yes to not accepting the plantpots! 2 allotments worth and a garden plus the gifted ones and all the ones from when I've bought new ones and I can't keep track! While it's a shame to not reuse them forever part of me is secretly relieved when one breaks and can be recycled so it's one less pot!
Thanks for sharing. We are buried in snow still in NY. This gives me hope spring is coming. Great job organizing. Sheds with all the bits are tricky to make look cute. You did it😁
Thanks so much for taking me along on your garden clean up, decluttering and changing it up to suit your needs now! Rory is so funny, Charlotte cries too when I’m opening my garden door to go out. Sending love & big hugs to you all sweet Kay! 🥰❤️❌⭕️🙋🏻♀️
I can totally relate to you with sorting your shed, and to how it soon gets out of hand. We sorted ours out last summer, but having a small utility room extension, and builders in,it's got our of hand yet again. So this vlog, gives me motivation to wade through the pots, tools and paints again. x
Thanks for another lovely video Kay. Your garden looks beautiful. I think you’ve still got time to plant things. I’m sure most seeds can be planted between March & May. Wishing you lovely Sunday ✨🌞✨🌻✨💐
So enjoyed this vlog, I miss having my own garden so much, I used to spend all day in my garden, and I too had the plastic green houses, grew my own tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, neighbours were very happy to receive my produce. Good idea to have all your herbs nearer the kitchen door, also I would plant a lavender hedge, nearer the kitchen, the smell would be so lovely to sit by with a cup of tea, or coffee.
I absolutely love your garden, the little shed is such a treat and I love the covered area. It would make a lovely snug area with lights and bunting. I hope you do more garden videos. Really enjoyed it. Perhaps powerhose the flag stones, they will come up nice and fresh. My miniature schnauzer and Maine coon cat Hubble sit watching me when I’m working in the garden. Funny seeing your cats do the same. 💓
You both did such a great job 👍🏻 and the result is just lovely. We had a nice sunny weekend last week but today (Sun. 27/2/22) we are back to a snow covered garden 😱. Oh well Spring is just around the corner 🌷Hope you both had a relaxing evening after your busy day, take care. 🇨🇦
Great video, I think alot of us have been in our gardens this weekend. As tiring as it is, it's so rewarding to be able to look at what you've achieved. Cannot wait for the spring for the growing season. I love growing my own veg and fruit to be able to pick herbs and veg from the garden is just so pleasurable. Happy weekend
Kay those plant pots breed over winter I swear it. I seem to have loads more than last year! Same process as xmas lights always tangle themselves up. Love your fur babies x
i need to sort my shed and summer house but have just had covid and have no energy, so i might not get it done for a while. it always good when the garden is ready for the spring. i cant wait to get the ornaments out again. i want to try some more veg this year idid well with my raddish and spinach and lettice, tomatoes and beans not so good. it always so good to pick and eat from what you grow.
That was both motivational and therapeutic to watch! 🙂 We have our first carrots, lettuce and parsley so far. Theoretically, it is not too early for those, but we do live in Greece and the climate helps. Whatever you choose, you'd better start with the greenhouse where everything will be protected. I hope that helps! Lovely video as always! 💕
Hi you all lovely to c u so nice u could go out in to your garden 🪴 u both worked so hard that was a lot of work for u both brilliant job all done now it will do u the world of good to go out in ygsrden with a nice coffee have a good week take care uk 🇬🇧 🪴
Maybe you could use the table cut out to create a tool hanging thingy. Put some nails on it and hang your gardening bits on it? I dont envy you trying to keep the shed organised!
Ive been considering what to do with our garden this year (moved into a new build with turf only last April). Loved this vid, so timely! Exciting oitdoor times ahead!
Watching your video from USA 🇺🇸 Just discovered your Channel. Your vlogs are amazing 😊 I also like simple life . I'm new youtuber and my contents are Slow Living Lifestyle but I really enjoyed your video 😍
Please don’t fill in that hole completely, that looks like a hedgehog access point. If everyone can allow a large fist sized dent under their fences it would help hedgehog numbers immensely to recover so they can forage.
it's good to leave a hole under the fence 13cm square to help hedgehogs
Exactly what I was going to write ... The hedgehogs will eat your slugs and snails, which will save your plants!
They need to be able to move from garden to garden.
If you put all the leaves in bags and store them you will have fabulous leaf compost for your borders. Also utilise the the wall space for storage x

the problem with putting gloves in a plastic bag is if they are at all damp, they will stink 😕
@@Carol-oc7mx true. A cloth bag might be better!
I always take my gloves inside the house to prevent this

Totally understand the glove fear!! At the end of the gardening season, I put my gloves in a zip loc bag, so I *know* they're bug free! Subscribed.
These are some of my most favourite videos. I can almost feel the wintersun! 🌷☀️🥰

We are still to cold for gardening but should be warming up soon I'm definitely ready
I no longer have an outside garden so I make do with a few indoor plants 🪴 so it gives me much pleasure to watch you preparing to be in your garden. 🥰

Good job kay n dom n good luck not finding a spider😄
I don’t think I could have told Rory no when he was crying to go outside. He sounded so convincing with that cry.
Omg I'm exactly the same with the gloved I am scared of spiders and always image their living in them!!!! Xx
You've both done a great job, looking good. Remember to scrub your bird feeders once a week. ❤ - Frances
And put one welly in the top of the other, it will help!
You could hang your gloves up by the fingers with a peg hung up with string it keeps the bugs out
Lovely sharing your life. I miss seeing your cat video's, like when you first got Echo. Hoping you'll set up a cat series. Thank you

You need major shelving installed in your shed.
I am honestly the worst at gardening. Worse than people who say they're bad. Plants in my care die *fast*, even if I do water them!
Oh no.. you might have hedgehogs accessing your garden via the hole under the fence!
You need a pressure washer!
Build up your vertical spaces.
Please don’t fill in that hole completely, that looks like a hedgehog access point. If everyone can allow a large fist sized dent under their fences it would help hedgehog numbers immensely to recover so they can forage.
You folks did a lot of work. The garden looks great. I agree, a smaller table would be good. Thank you for sharing.
