I am a 17 year multiple myeloma survivor. When I was diagnosed, I decided to try something challenging. A marathon!!! Why not? So I ended up doing 12 and a half full 42k marathons and o er 50 half marathons plus many 10k races. I'm still doing several marathons a week. The day after chemo I usually do a half marathon (21K) while fasting. My hemotologist can't believe what I do. Last year I lost 32 pounds in a week and a half. I saw my hemotologist regarding hospice care. I still kept thinking of doing marathons so on march 23 I started doing marathons ranging from 10K to 26K. So far I have done close to 40 virtual races since March 23 2022. I still go for weekly chemo and I found out I may be relapsing again.
