You know, I think doctors need to describe what being on a ventilator means. When my dad was in the hospital 5 years ago and was put on a ventilator, it was like someone was choking him. He kept trying to remove the tube. Imagine having that feeling for 2 weeks. They put them usually in induced coma so they can tolerate it, but in the process, people might end up losing 50% of their body weight not to mention the possibility of permanent damage to the lungs. A ventilator is no joke.

However, if you are carrying the virus ... a simple cotton cloth worn over your mouth and nose will trap a great deal of (invisible) virus laden droplets that you exhale while breathing. Cotton traps water and its content. Thus it will reduce the possibility of someone else inhaling your ‘vapours’. If everyone wears one, the risk of people infecting each other is still there, but greatly reduced.

The point you are missing is the extreme hardships that middle and lower income families will experience in being forced to choose between the #1 source for childcare (being public school for 8-10 hours a day) OR, work and income. The bottom line is it should be a personal family choice. Those that elect to send their kids to school should have the option to do so. Those that don’t and have the resources or flexibility to work remotely, do it. The government can’t wave a magic wand a accomplish both objectives. This has nothing to do whether the President elects to send his kid to school or not.

I live in Colorado. Thank you Governor Polus for the mask order. That said I went to the grocery store in Meeker and was upset to find only about half of the shoppers had a mask on. Maybe we need a fine for not wearing a mask in public.

Most of them is sad to say were the kids in the SPED classes. :/ I say "sad to say", because I was one of those SPED kids. However, I was the few SPED kids who graduated with honor AP classes and General Ed during my high school years and graduated college and university with two degrees in Education (One for Art Ed and the other for SPED), along with obtaining five certifications (I am working on gaining two more to add to that list). I consider myself an Independent, always Independent, because I have a brain and prefer to think for myself, avoiding the gang mentality that Democrats and Republicans seem to love to play. Unfortunately, so many of my SPED peers don't follow this critical way of thinking. I try to get them to understand, but so many of them are so set on their mental disorder that there is no way of getting them to see with logic and reason, especially those individuals who are hardcore Republicans. They are blinded by some invisible promise that does not exist. Again, I have no party nor follow political agenda. My primary agenda of life is to practice real egalitarianism, not this foo-foo joke we have now, and to make sure that our systems are set to provide the highest standard of living using Science and Technology as a guide and work force. This is to liberate the human race from the mundane and that with suppresses real human creativity and exploration. Not that I'm pinning down the poor education in the US on that, but just take a look at 2:55 where you put the label "FRANCE" on the silhouette of Germany.. just following up with the same silhouette correctly labelled "GERMANY" this time. This stuff can happen, but US TV networks have a history of getting these things wrong and it's embarrassing. But compare high school education in the US to that of Germany. German exchange students going to the US for a year are having a walk in the park over there, under-challenged by content and easy exams. A year 10 or 11 US student is 2 years behind its German counterpart year 10 or 11 students. A US undergrad student usually studies what is high school material in Europe. A graduate studies European undergrad material, and the list goes on. You have no idea how far young people in the US are lagging behind other countries in education. There just isn't any basis to call it "greatest in the world". It just isn't and in fact its behind in many aspects. The lack of education probably plays a big part in why politicians and inhabitants of the US are failing to follow science to deal with the virus. That's not to defend the Trump administration which is failing utterly of course and making things even worse.

You know, I think doctors need to describe what being on a ventilator means. When my dad was in the hospital 5 years ago and was put on a ventilator, it was like someone was choking him. He kept trying to remove the tube. Imagine having that feeling for 2 weeks. They put them usually in induced coma so they can tolerate it, but in the process, people might end up losing 50% of their body weight not to mention the possibility of permanent damage to the lungs. A ventilator is no joke.
Imagine you were on the operating table and the staff walked in with no mask... talking about it’s our right!

The point you are missing is the extreme hardships that middle and lower income families will experience in being forced to choose between the #1 source for childcare (being public school for 8-10 hours a day) OR, work and income. The bottom line is it should be a personal family choice. Those that elect to send their kids to school should have the option to do so. Those that don’t and have the resources or flexibility to work remotely, do it. The government can’t wave a magic wand a accomplish both objectives. This has nothing to do whether the President elects to send his kid to school or not.

However, I was the few SPED kids who graduated with honor AP classes and General Ed during my high school years and graduated college and university with two degrees in Education (One for Art Ed and the other for SPED), along with obtaining five certifications (I am working on gaining two more to add to that list). Unfortunately, so many of my SPED peers don't follow this critical way of thinking. I try to get them to understand, but so many of them are so set on their mental disorder that there is no way of getting them to see with logic and reason, especially those individuals who are hardcore Republicans. They are blinded by some invisible promise that does not exist. Again, I have no party nor follow political agenda. My primary agenda of life is to practice real egalitarianism, not this foo-foo joke we have now, and to make sure that our systems are set to provide the highest standard of living using Science and Technology as a guide and work force. This is to liberate the human race from the mundane and that with suppresses real human creativity and exploration. It frustrates me to find that there are people who prefer to keep living in such a faulty, failed, outdated systems of being. But if you go to the store, this is also outside of your home but inside of a building , there are other people around you probably close. This stuff can happen, but US TV networks have a history of getting these things wrong and it's embarrassing. But compare high school education in the US to that of Germany.
German exchange students going to the US for a year are having a walk in the park over there, under-challenged by content and easy exams. A year 10 or 11 US student is 2 years behind its German counterpart year 10 or 11 students. A US undergrad student usually studies what is high school material in Europe. A graduate studies European undergrad material, and the list goes on. You have no idea how far young people in the US are lagging behind other countries in education.
There just isn't any basis to call it "greatest in the world". It just isn't and in fact its behind in many aspects. The lack of education probably plays a big part in why politicians and inhabitants of the US are failing to follow science to deal with the virus.
That's not to defend the Trump administration which is failing utterly of course and making things even worse.
