Thanks Ariel yes amazing man! I was his director at TVT in the 70's, he would do his pools checks between the races I would roll in on the live (very live!) Sunday morning sports show. Great memories of my early career at TVT. Not sure what happened to him but I loved my early days there, going on to bigger things on the "mainland. :-)
Tasmanian TV virtually was killed when aggregation happened in 1994. No more independent Tas-TV, it just became another Melbourne/Sydney channel. No decent media in the state any longer.
Okay, I got it wrong way round, Station TVT is in Hobart while TNT is in Launceston. Makes no difference Wollongong-based WIN should keep its grubby paws OFF stations outside NSW and stick to its own area of South-eastern NSW.
FYI Mt Bellenden Ker (servicing Far North Qld) is quite a bit taller than Mt Wellington at 1593m tall versus 1269m en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Bellenden_Ker
That's me at 7.36. I played the little boy (voice over) in The Secret Toyshop. I must now hurry over to iMDB to add my resume.
Yes this brings back memories I was in this studio as a channel sixer in the 60’s and on Curiosity castle in the 70’s

No presentation coordinator mentioned. I miss my little control room at WIN. Best job I ever had.
I remember when TV started in 1960. My little brother looked behind the TV to see where the little man was.
Should be some footage of me and my mother there mum won the arnotts talent quest one year

Something came on about me in 1967. Maybe about sydney trip i had. I wasnt allowed to go to school the next day
Sadly as I write this, the old TVT6 building is being demolished R.I.P. 48-52 New Town Rd, Hobart, Tas 7000. :(
I couldn't agree more, it's hard to accept as that place was the centre of the universe to me as a kid. The world I was familiar with is no more.
@@tassietv7530 Yes the world, but even Tasmania has changed a lot in the last 20 or so years. I'm mourning the Tasmania of old!
@@helpelaine3927 Me too, it is sad to see.
