Tbh when you said "hmmph, do you see the difference there" I laughed a little cuz both answers were layered under incoherent nonsense... Neither answer was acceptable for a presidential candidate.
A journalist's primary responsibility is to report facts accurately, and avoiding misinformation or biased representation is crucial.
CBS seems to be struggling with this principle. Even if they edit their shows, when there's potential for misinterpretation of an interview-especially one involving a Presidential candidate-CBS should back their commitment to accuracy by releasing the full transcripts. Americans deserve to know the full truth, rather than watching a selectively edited interview. 60 Minutes has the time to air the entire conversation, and it’s hard to believe their other stories were more important than a Presidential interview.
Is CBS hiding something from the public? It seems 60 Minutes and CBS have compromised some of their journalistic integrity. In my view, other areas of CBS News are now questionable as well.
