    My friend and I are planning our 2nd trip to Uganda. We stay in Masaka. We help to support “Africa Children’s Heart Uganda” orphanage. We are trying to plan our retirement. Both of our husbands are older. We are returning in May 2024 and are hoping to acquire knowledge of expat relocation options.

    ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉i loke this Akright City , i actually confess i went there in the early 2000 something to buy a shell house that cost 100 million Uganda shillings but i didn't have that much money 💰🤑. I see it's still developing and the riads are still being constructed. One thing i didn't like were narrow roads between the estate and power outage issues there. You need to have powerful solar panels to have lights etc and transport issues within. Getting a bodaboda isn't easy ! Shopping 🛍️ there is no supermarket nor pharmacy etc so it's for the self sufficient people.

    Kampala will soon be like Europe, with not a slight place to enjoy nature, trees that clean the air;
    concrete jungle everywhere. We shall lose the beauty of Kampala and Africa when such a time comes.

    Corruption has made land prices in Kampala unaffordable. People who steal government money don’t have many avenues of quickly spending it so land and houses are easy way of getting rid of it . Why would i spend $190,000 in land in such a place with such terrible infrastructures?

    • @ConnectWithUganda
      @ConnectWithUganda  6 місяців тому

      Very true, real estate market here isn’t regulated. Everyone sets a price they feel like. And when embezzlers steal from the government, they rush to buy land, apartments and keep the money hiking prices of everything. Whereas Akright is a nice residential neighborhood, 700M for land is crazy unless it’s acres upon acres.

    • @zzimbeisaacrichard45
      @zzimbeisaacrichard45 5 місяців тому

      Thats price for half an acre, divide that amount by 4 to get the price for a standard 50*100 which is fair price for that area if you know the property prices in that area.

    Thanks for your videos.The problem with your presentation is that you do not state the actual or estimated prices of the properties you are showing us.
    For instance, you keep on talking about Ham Palm villas but you do not mention the prince range within which these properties fall.
    Please, improve your presentation by stating the actual price or the price range.
    Thanks.

      This video wasn’t about any property. Was a neighborhood tour. If you want to know the details of the Ham Pam villas, I linked the video within the vlog. Or you can find it on the channel. In addition, the villas management asked me not to mention their prices publicly, but whoever is interested would come to view the villas and find out more, or will reach out for more information.

    190,000 USD per plot completely overpriced, buy a small condominium for that price in America.

  • @paulbrown609

    With the pricing of land in Uganda makes it almost impossible for middle class in the west to come back home.

    • @ConnectWithUganda
      @ConnectWithUganda  6 місяців тому

      I disagree. You just have to find what’s within your budget. But if you’re looking to buy in Muyenga, Akright, Kololo, many people won’t afford. There many other nice residential locations with affordable plots where one can build a house.

    $190,000 to purchase land! Just land in UG is way too overrated and over-expensive! U guys advertise land in US dollars - WOW!! Uganda is NOT a state of USA please, Please sell land in your local currency for Ugandans to afford & not Mzungu's! U want to be recolonized or what? That to me is a developing neighborhood & not yet developed, so WHY that much?
