@@lilililiililili6363 yeah, Yumi have vey little multiplier vs heavy inf (as it should because is a bow unit) but do not have the raw stats to compensate to that, have a little more Attack but also have less hp, so it's basically just a skirm but with almost no multiplier and less base range, etc. while the bow units of native civs are broken, having even more multiplier (x2) having double the Fire Rate or more, while also having the dame HP and Attack... Japan managed eco well underpressure but unit positioning was not good. Asigaru should protect artillery from front and skirm should be countered by artillery for protect ashigaru. That would make kinda useless heavy and light cav. Nvm, good game, i enjoyed.
If they want to buff a civ, they should probably add more flavourful civ bonuses and cards 🎴 to the civs, as they are kinda lacking in flavour. An example for Japan 🗾 could be a card 🎴 representing the Meiji Restoration or the Sengoku Jidai (they are in the time period of the game). I would just have them be literally called Meiji Restoration or Sengoku Jidai to make it clear. (There is a Warring States card, but it is a bit lame and it is ambiguous as to if it is talking about the Sengoku Jidai time period or literally the state of there being Waring States.)
I think Mejii restoration on consulate must offer a revolt close to the Napoleonic second revolt. I explain, I think that some unit can evolve in skin and skill like ashigaru who became more 1905 war style, Yummi hold rifle, and you can have acess to factory. to new metropol. and flag. It's historical accurate and can offer a consulate play more interesting for Japan.
The Meiji Restoration and Sengoku Jidai had a ton of things happening, so there is a lot you can make concerning them. There could even be separate bonuses/techs/cards for their subevents. I think for maximum flavour having eccentric effects like: Sengoku Jidai: • Randomly, 2 of your Villagers turn into neutral Outlaws (pick a fun, flavourful one or make it semi-random) and will be hostile to *ALL* units of players. (Outlaws ungarrison.) • Grants X xp and gives X xp trickle, X units get X% higher attack • Balance the Xs for game balance Meiji Restoration: • All resources gather X % faster. Technologies research X % faster and cost X % less. • All Allied Samurai and Daimyo die. (Gain X times as much XP as if you killed them) • Costs X Export. • Balance the Xs for game balance @ecopiste1691
@@UniDocs_Mahapushpa_Cyavana very Good idea and also I think Mejii restoration can give access to european artillery and gatling gun too! Times sure change. I remember in legacy days where Japan was utterly broken.
japan is trash now. No good goon unit and yumi have the same range as skirms

There's a Consulate tech refering Meiji restoration, but it needs an overhaul
That is how I feel about Portugal, it is really lacking on the Historical referencing HCC

the pop ratio was like 20 ashigaru to 60 heavy horses, he could have improved that, but japan sucks anyway, it cant really react to anything
