For the past 28 years, Jim Nantz has essentially been the face of CBS Sports. He’s always been a consummate professional and I’m happy that he’s spending more time with his family so he could focus on Golf and the NFL at his age
“Can I tell ya one other thing? Not to try and play off ‘hello friends’- but to you, to everyone in the college game- the CBS family, my family, all the viewers- thank you for being my friend.” 🐐
“GIVES IT TO JENKINS, FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP! YESSSSSSSSSSSS!”
It won’t be same without “Hello Friends”
“Folks you gotta believe because just when people say you can’t, you can. And UConn has won the national championship” Boy was SPITTIN’ 🔥🔥
"Jerome gives it up. Far side, Hunter..." chills every time
His voice won’t go away, he’s still with us even when he retires. 🐐
I’ll always remember his voice for March Madness. An absolute legend, hopefully this last tournament is memorable one!
I will never forget “Oh, it almost went in!”
as a tar heel fan the 2016 was with out a doubt the best and most heartbreaking 7 seconds of basketball ive ever watched
Literally has been the voice of march madness since I was a kid. Will definitely miss hearing him in March of every year.
Nantz spoke to my sports broadcasting class at UNC last year, before March madness. It was so surreal to talk to him (although it was virtual) and then hear him call one of our biggest games in history a month after that
“The Huskies once again are in basketball heaven!”
Shock and Awe! In college basketball! UMBC MAKES HISTORY!!!
As a UConn alum, the 1999 call will always give me chills.
Thank you, Jim. You’ve been a classy broadcaster and a fine person.
& This just learned the loss of last night's passing of Billy Packer, R.I.P. to the legendary College Basketball broadcaster.
Only if Suggs game winner had fans. Hands down would have been CBBs greatest moment
As a Connecticut fan since 95. Thank you Jim, you’ve been a staple every March for my whole adulthood.
Jim Nantz is the best. He'll be missed calling games 👍🏾🏀
