He might've taken on Rex's identity after his death since he's an adult now and has the literal same genetics. One of my favourite aspects of Invincible is how it knows which tropes to play straight, and which tropes to subvert or dissect. The superhero genre started as a power fantasy. Superman was a combination of extreme power and perfect morals that allowed for justified violence. And we've seen dozens of "what if Superman was evil" stories that try to deconstruct the morality of violence and power, but none discuss the topic as well as stories like Invincible, which ask "what if Superman was human?" Invincible doesn't offer a power fantasy. Often Mark's strongest moments of morality in the show are the moments when he's getting his ass handed to him but refusing to back down. These scenarios are an inverse of your classic "Superman beating up a villain" moments, and they do a fantastic job of questioning our notions of righteous violence. Mark isn't Invincible, but he IS extremely durable, and you can only hit someone so many times before it starts getting hard to justify.
Though it would be incorrect to characterize Superman as being a perfect paragon of virtue, absent of any flaws. His best stories are when he abides by his moral code & tries to choose the best outcome when confronted by difficult decisions that would be so easy to solve if he simply let go of caring about morality and being a kind, compassionate person. That's why he's a hero: he's the exception to the maxim "absolute power corrupts absolutely." And it's why I don't really like evil Superman stories or characters like that, because they miss the point of the struggle of choosing to be good in the face of situations where it would be very easy to do wrong. "What if Superman killed?" is only interesting insofar as the shock value. "How does Superman choose not to kill?" is much more compelling, imo.

I was good with Amber until she went off on Mark for "abandoning them" at the college attack when she claims she knew he was a super hero. That said, I got over it. Lol
We see Angstrom fall through a portal lol. Then there is a clear transition to universe prime lol. I'm surprised y'all missed all the details of it being an alternate universe 😅
I think that was Rex in the suit cause they actually said the name Rex. Whereas Robots name is Rudy short for Rudolph 🤔 not that'll matter cause Mark makes his return and events should play out differently anyways
Omniman is a couple thousand yrs old so if you think about the pet line it's more about life spans than her being a pet pet. It's like us and dogs we live so long to them it might as well be thousands of years
its such a shame that like... the dr strange guy literally causes the one good Mark that doesnt want to kill pushes him to .... bloody his hands and kill ironic.... and sad..
Regarding Amber here's a timeline of events over their breakup weekend, that turned people so hard: Squad goes to college tour. Reanimen attacks, Mark leaves to save people. Amber loses her mind that Mark left, completely justified(if she wasn't lying which she was). Mark stops a super villain. They go home and immediately breakup Amber, "I figured it out weeks ago", as in before this tour she already knew. So Amber is smart enough to figure it out, but dumb enough to not question why Mark hasn't told her. Which this season highlights why Mark's identity being secret is so important. She also lied about their fight the entire weekend because she knew why Mark ran away. Irony she breaks up with him because he lied So in 1 episode and 3 minutes she became the dumbest smart person on the show. In the comics, Amber breaks up because she thinks he's dealing. When she figures it out she confonts Mark and forgives him, like a normal person would. The show did a good job of rehabilitating her in S2 though, kudos to them. Sub points from a reader's standpoint: 1) worth noting her arc is one of the least liked in the comics so all the readers were ready to rush past it. 2) the changes to the character, (smart quirky social-worker/politically-engaged), is a character type that devastated the Arrowverse, Felicity/Iris/Alex/Jennifer, all would do things that were dumb/terrible things and the show would treat them like they were correct. Which is what the show did with Mark pre Omni man fight. And I imagine a high portion of invincible readers tuned into early seasons of the arrowverse. 2b) Kirkman is not 100% when adapting his own story. I like the WD novels, and hated Daryl, a show character, they skipped Tyreese for a long time which ruined his story when they brought him in, Michonne got too much screentime too fast, the anti Tyreese. Tyreese, Carl, Michonne were my favorite characters in the books all of their arcs were devastated from the books.
this is pretty much exactly what i would say if someone asked me to discuss what i thought about amber and yes you were also spot on about the arrowverse 😂 at least in the arrowverse the gf didnt make the hero feel shitty for doing his duty. they were just like, "i cant deal with the secrets" (which is very cliche imo, but better than amber) s2 amber is genuinely a good person and if s1 amber didnt exist i would probably feel bad during the breakup instead of cheering 😭
I always figured that her deal is that she didn't really understand why he kept it secret. Superheroes in this universe seem almost like a game or a show to a lot of people, so the idea of not telling her in order to genuinely protect her doesn't really seem to connect. And it probably seems to her like he's just going behind her back for the hell of it, she doesn't really have much reason to believe otherwise yet. I think she's also clever enough to recognize that William knows, at least in the moment, and she might've jumped to the conclusion that he knew the whole time and that she was the only one not respected enough to be in the loop. And that's probably why watching him get beaten within a bloody inch of his life by Omni-Man is what changed her mind, it was the moment things became "too real".
@@whensomethingcriesagain that's a perspective problem that the show and books have. We are seeing Mark's view and people orbiting Mark, which is filled with superheroes. Think how the deaf have their own communities, if you're in those circles it could seem like a lot. However if you're not, you might know 1 or 2 deaf people. The vast majority of the populace is not powered, similarly there's the joke that everyone makes "Invincible gets beat up more than he wins", but we are mostly skipping his day to day wins. The fights we see are where he is struggling but between the time skips he is mostly blasting through street crime without really a sweat.

They referred to him as Rex. That’s definitely not robot in that dimension.
I've always thought that the real estate guy looked more like mark than nolan did
They actually did have a batman like that once for a short while.
Where people were pretending to be villains to humor bruce.
It was a Batman funeral thing or something
I love that the Mummy joke from season 1 continued in season 2 😂😂😂
I was good with Amber until she went off on Mark for "abandoning them" at the college attack when she claims she knew he was a super hero.
That said, I got over it. Lol
She was MUCH more likeable this season. Couldn’t stand season 1 amber though
It killed me how long it took y'all to get that it was an alternate reality lol
The comic book artist memeing in the show is the creator !
2:12:30
We have already saw another weakness in the first season.
If somone want to know, you can ask but I don't want to spoiler anything.
2:59:51 You talked over Eve calling him Rex tho. So it really seems to be him.
2:17:52 OMG this sounds a lot like a Ben Ten Classic music
2:59:08 The comics actually show what happened here if youre curious
When they found mark in the future the robot was actually Rex eve even calls him Rex boom was just busy talking about the clone body lol😭
No one in the comments mentioned that dude at 3:03:32 looks like Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living from ThunderCats!
This is how to do a proper multiverse
We see Angstrom fall through a portal lol. Then there is a clear transition to universe prime lol.
I'm surprised y'all missed all the details of it being an alternate universe 😅
Their channel name is Sorta Stupid, it checks out
I don’t think y’all noticed this, but Mark Hamill voiced Art (The costume designer)
We noticed in season 1 😂
2:59:50 nope thats rex lol if you listened
1:07:53 Mark needs to come back right now, and give this man the scare of his life.
"Symbolicism"
When you learn the leader of the Viltromites VA is Lex luthor and Jak 2 Praxos
He’s not the leader
General ≠ Leader
My brother has a 3 chamber heart. It's a heart defect called hypoplastic left heart syndrome
"Don't pull out Mordecai" fuckin got me
Them not knowing it was a different universe annoys me😂😂
Going in knowing this was gonna be a multiverse season made the start way less confusing lmao
If she had known she could have made it up to code
Anissa is like an evil Trinity from the Matrix. That's the vibe I get from her.
Someone please tell that guy the word he’s thinking of is symbolism
The dead ppl in the episode of nightwing are the ppl the last nightwing took before he was killed and that means they starved to death
2:59:52 I know its late now but pay attention!!! Thats not ROBOT!!!
"wallking dead dimension" do they know Mark is voiced by Glenn from the walking dead?
2:35
That what was the most what I ever heard him do
I think that was Rex in the suit cause they actually said the name Rex. Whereas Robots name is Rudy short for Rudolph 🤔 not that'll matter cause Mark makes his return and events should play out differently anyways
It's Rudy if you know the comics
Omniman is a couple thousand yrs old so if you think about the pet line it's more about life spans than her being a pet pet. It's like us and dogs we live so long to them it might as well be thousands of years
its such a shame that like... the dr strange guy literally causes the one good Mark that doesnt want to kill pushes him to .... bloody his hands and kill ironic.... and sad..
"that's good, i hate binge culture"
_looks at channel_
ok
2:45:05 in the comics it was a cheating scandal that cwused them to break up.
2:59:57 She even called him Rex-- that's not Rudy
How about when the scene scrolled past the corpses of the two guys that Darkwing shackled to the water tower, before he got killed.
Channel names fits you three 😂
start: 0:00 end: 3:08:12
Bro that principal can't smile, his lips are too thick.
You guys are going to love Anysa! She is like the most beloved character in the comic books!
2:50:36: Spiderman
season 4 and 5 are both greenlit too so dont worry too much after season 3 because they are trying to make these high quality and fast as possible
lawful neutral 5:48
Someone explain “billy” to me, please.
I think it was the name of there first ever sub on patreon I think
Am I the only one thinks Ruff and SeeOhKnee both look like different variants of KennyBeats?
They literally talked over the part where they explained that was future Rex 🤦
That was not rex. It was Rudy taking his name after he died in that timeline
I feel like you guys should do watch the truman show if you guys have never seen it
anyone else notice the jodie whittaker doctor who reference at 2:25:30 ???
3:07:00 these turn coats in season 1 they were shaming the other guy for thinking Eve was a better partner and now who think the same
2:03:22 LOL
I was crying 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why didn't marc leave his brother to cecil
Rex got Phineas Gaged
goddamnnnnittttt y’all commented on bullet proof getting the suit mark turned down i shoulda waited to say som on ur reaction to season 1
32:28 predict
Regarding Amber here's a timeline of events over their breakup weekend, that turned people so hard:
Squad goes to college tour.
Reanimen attacks, Mark leaves to save people.
Amber loses her mind that Mark left, completely justified(if she wasn't lying which she was).
Mark stops a super villain.
They go home and immediately breakup
Amber, "I figured it out weeks ago", as in before this tour she already knew.
So Amber is smart enough to figure it out, but dumb enough to not question why Mark hasn't told her. Which this season highlights why Mark's identity being secret is so important.
She also lied about their fight the entire weekend because she knew why Mark ran away. Irony she breaks up with him because he lied
So in 1 episode and 3 minutes she became the dumbest smart person on the show.
In the comics, Amber breaks up because she thinks he's dealing. When she figures it out she confonts Mark and forgives him, like a normal person would.
The show did a good job of rehabilitating her in S2 though, kudos to them.
Sub points from a reader's standpoint:
1) worth noting her arc is one of the least liked in the comics so all the readers were ready to rush past it.
Tyreese, Carl, Michonne were my favorite characters in the books all of their arcs were devastated from the books.
this is pretty much exactly what i would say if someone asked me to discuss what i thought about amber
and yes you were also spot on about the arrowverse 😂
at least in the arrowverse the gf didnt make the hero feel shitty for doing his duty. they were just like, "i cant deal with the secrets" (which is very cliche imo, but better than amber)
s2 amber is genuinely a good person and if s1 amber didnt exist i would probably feel bad during the breakup instead of cheering 😭
@@namishjain9238 ohh you didn't see the kid's season Felicity craps all over Oliver for trying to stay in his kid's and not telling her, while the mom says if word gets out I'm revoking visitation only to have Felicity 180 1-2 episodes later and the show thinks Felicity's right both times that was my breaking point lol
