I upgraded through a few kits myself and settled on the VAD507. I could have saved a bunch of money doing what you did, but I just didn't want a rack system. I like my setup alot but it darn sure cost me. Enjoy the kit!
@@TrendyTreasureHunter Thank you. I bought the TD-27KV2. I am now looking to upgrade the kick drum. How's the pad noise, acoustically? Would you say the KD-180L is much louder than the KD-10?
@@francoisdepotoir9396 It's not much louder, though I recommend using a kick drum patch (sticker) and putting a blanket or foam inside the drum like people do with acoustic kicks. I also use the little tennis ball beaters which seems to help as well.

Please answer me a question. I have to choose between roland td30 or roland 27 kv2. Which do you think is better?
I love how the td30 looks, but I'd probably go with the 27kv2 because it's a more modern module and includes the digital ride, high-hat and snare.
Is the 180d louder than the original kd10? I have a kd120 and toying with upgrading to the 180 curious if it’s louder
Of course not, electronics is the same. If you are asking about impact sound, depends on your mallets and your drum patch
@@campbeja001 - yes was referring to acoustically (impact). i ended up getting it but liked it so much I exchanged for the 20" version
Looking to buy the same kit. Was it easy to position the KD-180L to your liking? It's somewhat cramped.
Yeah, it was pretty easy. The only struggle was aligning my double bass with it. That took some fidgeting, but I finally got it.
