I don't own or have driven the ET 48 2.0 but I do own two Teknos et410 and eb410.2. And from what I experienced with those were that they are very very durable and versatile. Furthermore, I've raced against the Et48 2.0 and let me just say I love how it handles and floats in the air. This Serpent however is not a good comparison against the Tekno ET48 2.0 because it is a RTR which is slightly disadvantage because of weight and parts components. You can and I have beat some Teknos with this Truggy but I think if I had a Serpent SRX8 T/e Kit, that would be a way better comparison 😉. At the end of the day the right car with the right driver you can make it work.
Ive owned this serpent e-truggy about 3 months and its been a beast on my local off road track. I build kits but to my surprise this rtr truggy is race ready, didnt even need to change the servo I did add my receiver and dumped the stock remote. Do not run it on 6s keep it on 4s and do the maintenance on the diffs. Checked my diffs after a few runs and the center diff was bone dry. Enjoy it definitely a sick truggy!
Thanks I'll check those. Brock Diesel runs his on 6S but I am honestly afraid that 6S is actually to much for the stock bearings. Since this car doesn't use shims I have to keep an eye out on those weak flange bearings. The flange part may give out anytime. Haven't had no issues on 4S though and it's plenty enough power for what I plan on using it for. But I'm going to try these new bearings out and see how it holds up on 6S.
@@MatrixRC seems like the flange bearing is a issue with this rtr. It happened to me coincidentally today but in the front differential and I only run on 4s Landed off a double at my track and instantly heard loud grinding coming from my front differential. I was bugging that I watched your video and it happens to me as well. I ordered some Protek 8x14x4mm rubber sealed flange bearings hopefully there better than what came with the serpent.
Yeaaahhh my boy 🔥 🔥 🔥 🚀 l... A real racing rtr machine congratulations... I love mine g 💯but that rear diff gone... I've only ran mine on 6s.. Won't touch 4s unless it's on the track 🏁
@@MatrixRC you might be able to still get the kit parts from Serpent the kit version came with carbon fiber shock towers and M2C had an improved chassis as well.
@@MatrixRC the M2C chassis was to improve the handling on the track it moved the electronics forward a little bit and allowed to use a 4S brick pack as well
Hmmmm interesting 🤔that's is something to think about. I only see M2C Chassis on bashers. Because of the increase weight and durability. But if you say I believe it. I just got the car and still learning about its characteristics so that is really interesting. I'll look into when I get some time and I'll do some research. Thanks Bro!👊🏽
What do you think is better: hobao hyper ss or serpent cobra te? Im a beginner at it, I only had berserker (hobbyking). Im not going to use them on extreme bash, Im just gonna having fun in the forest, in the snow, in the fields.. Which one would be the best in your opinion? (by durability)
I can not compare because I do not own or have driven the SS. But after I fixed the bearing flange on this TE it’s been a beast in the neighborhood races. And with new electronics for the pro track it’s even better.
Yeah flying around at a park with the xrt could be dangerous if i hit a kid. Im wide open non stop with that car, well all cars. Ive knocked myself down a few times. It could do some serious damage. Fun stuff man. Im looking at a serpent now. Im thinking nitro. I have 22 cars, no nitro. I gave that stuff up. But im gettin the itch.
I wanna race and get this truck as I'm on a budget can you run this truck on one 4s battery is you add new connector or do you need to run two 2s batteries??
As you saw in the video my car came stock with dean's connectors. I replaced them with IC5 connectors. You can run either 2 2S lipos in series or one 4S lipo with a jumper or parallel connection. Depends on how you wired your connection. In my case I stayed traditional wiring setup and used one 4S battery with a jump plug so I can run 2 3S batteries for 6S run later.
I've had mine almost 2yrs..... She can handle 6s all day every day. You must shim front & rear diffs, install v2 center diff gears AND use thicker diff oils. I run 60/200/30. I've hit triple and quad backflips many, many times! If you bash, pick up a set of ARRMA Backflip LPs....best basher tire for this rig. I've got Hobby Wing Max8 combo now---after factory motor went out. 4s is a blast, 6s is insanity!! Check out my YT vids.
What do you think of this Serpent, would you say the Tekno ET48 2.0 was a bettter choice ?

Yeah brother and I found the problem and it's crazy stupid simple.
You left me hangin! 🙂
Sweet looking buggy to bad it broke on the first run
Wow
Awesome 😍😍😍
Nice score make sure you bring that out to Adrenaline RC Raceway to really test it out on an 8th scale track.
That's the plan bro😉👍🏽💯

What system you have ther...? Kv motor,spur,pinion,lipo...

Hey great video! What did you end up breaking on this truggy? Looking for one myself and would like any feedback. Thanks!
Thanks for watching appreciate it very much. The rear flange bearing ended up failing. Manufacture replaced it. It's working now.
BRUH!!!!😲 not another brake? The 6s had it movin.. how much that thang run you? Let me know if its worth adding to the collection...
It's crazy right another break. RC Gods must hate me. But it's worth it.
Its used, you know how you can tell, no plastic covering the body
There was a plastic film on the body. I removed it.

Do you use xt60 or 90 ?
At first I used IC5. But now for this rig I use QS8.
What broke?
"Flange" bearing. Unique to this truggy
How 70% of RTR’s go on the first run…
Nice truck though… lock tight everything you can and away you go. 🛻🛻🛻
