2:08:29 You can just keep your eyes open while going through the story quests. You'll find most of the aether currents that way, and you can't get the last one until you finish the story quests anyway. If you've finished the last story quest in the region and still don't have all the aether currents, that's a good time to pull out the compass.

No one dies? I wouldn't call a dead body being possessed and used for something else and often for completely different objectives as being alive. At least it's not the original person who is alive it's someone else using them as a disguise. Hell Zenos points out that Elidibus is acting nothing like him while talking to him and most others who were possessed don't have the echo allowing them to come back. Now, sure there are some off screen deaths that were taken back but each of those is plausible like say a building collapsing into water. For the current one, Asahi might have been crazy but he isn't crazy in nearly the same way that Fandaniel is. So that might be Asahi's body, but that isn't Asahi. He doesn't act like Asahi's mind or memories would indicate he should act. Also, you're dealing with the possibility of resurrection in this game because there is a very real cycle of reincarnation. In fact the echo and awakening as an Ascian, especially the members of the Convocation is just becoming aware of the cycle and having some of your memory as an ancient Amaurotine jogged. They still die it's just possible for someone to get the previous life's memories, and as Gaia demonstrated no one is beholden to those memories. Characters very much die in this game. Also because I know you've gotten to Elpis Emet is only back because you went back to a point in time when he wasn't dead, and you can't force the soul of someone with the echo to reincarnate unless you overwhelm their soul with magic, use their soul to perform magic or they choose to die see the Warriors of Darkness for that. In your fight with them they revive multiple times from apparent death, and that same effect is the lore reason you're allowed to attempt any duty multiple times despite failure. Anyone with the echo is immortal until rendered dead in both body and soul.
