I don't actually think Philippines would've lagged behind modernization as much if we weren't colonized because Philippines already had a complex society at that time we were just not unified. I feel like we would've still advanced decently because we were the center for trading in Asia and the Pacific, technology and innovations would've still found us one way or the other. It would've been more interesting to see if the islands and different factions would've actually unified as one country as the Datus, Lakandulas, Rajas or Sultans expanded their territory or if we would've remained as separate areas.
Agreed! The major islands would've had more battles for territory (like other Asian countries sitting beside each other on the main continent) but at least it wouldn't be because some big monarchy from Europe was trying to invade them and erase their complex identities.

It's unavoidable that we'll get influenced by Western Capitalism one way or the other in the present time even if we don't get colonized especially since the Philippines is located at the center of the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean and as I've said has been one of the centers of trade in Asia even during the Pre-Colonial period. Both your examples don't even make sense in this comparison as both Saudi and Japan were never colonized by Western Countries they just opened up their countries for trade and modernization. I can even say the same with Thailand which is a fellow Southeast Asian country and are clearly doing better than we are but we shared a similar culture with prior to colonization. Thailand is now an incredibly modern country with more wealth than the Philippines but it was never colonized. Saudi and Japan are first world countries that were never colonized and didn't lag behind in modernization. Hence, my point still stands. As I've said technology and innovation would've still found its way to our country one way or the other and for sure it will involve western influence but as the video title suggest we wouldn't have been colonized. Moreso, based on the examples you gave yourself it might even be more prosperous because they won't have the colonial mentality to hold them back seeing how those said countries are in the forefront of the world's economy right now were never really colonized either.

Here's a another fact you might miss. The British empire is most likely found Philippines during the 7 years war which Spanish join with france so if Spain didn't found Philippines then the British go the Philippines like they did in manila to get closer to china and Vietnam is also close to the Philippines which is occupied by france. is most likely to be British so france cant takes Philippines of france to avoid the British taking it. but republic of china is closed to the Philippines like taiwan so is possible it is china, British and france but japan will still invade Philippine no matter what colonizers it is.

Remember that the Spanish (and I mean peninsulares and, for good measure, insulares) population in the Philippines was quite small. There was a greater incentive to know the native languages because they’re more likely to be useful when, let’s say, you’re up in the outlying barangays. That’s not the case though in urban centers like Manila or Cebu, where you’re more likely to run into a hispanophone indio.
Mass Spanish-language education came very late, so for the last 270+ years of Spanish rule most Filipinos, while exposed to Spanish, were more likely than not monolingual. This rapidly changed though with the introduction of public education in the late 1850s, as I explain in the other comments and in the answer proper. (The same phenomenon happened as well with the introduction of English.)
Unlike in Latin America, the friars proselytized in the native languages, which gave them staying power. It also helped that unlike in the New World, Filipinos weren’t killed by Old World diseases en masse, so the native populations remained more or less intact. This wasn’t the case with Mexico, Peru, etc., where there was mass population decline and where those countries were effectively founded as settler colonies.

You didn't mention the fourth conqueror of the Philippines, Great Britain. Britain briefly held the Philippines after defeating the Spanish forces.
British only invaded parts of batangas and Manila. They were not considered conquerors bec they did not overtake the whole country's sovereignity. It was just a short-lived invasion they were defeated by the spanish and filipinos and driven away. In short their only role is just a mere unwanted visitors.

They didn't trust to the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, instead they listed the “works they did”. When the Lord Jesus Christ said “It is finished” he meant it. He sacrifice his life to pay for our sins so that we would have forgiveness of all our sins past, present, and future, and we will also have Eternal Life, if you believe and accept him.
God's word says, that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own effort or works (Ephesians 2:8-9) God given us the faith that trusts him. We are not saved by obeying a list of do's and don'ts, but by grace through faith in Christ. Our salvation is in God's hands.
But we also need works because it shows that we have a genuine faith
