Hezi be waiting sometimes to call foul. The way I know is you have to call it soon as you put up the shot. "And 1" is calling a foul but you intend to make the bucket, so if you miss you don't get the ball back. If you call "foul" and you make or miss it, you get ball back. That's the way I know.

I had to teach these dudes in SATX this as kid fr, every time i said “and 1” & actually made it they’d try to give us the ball back but I wasn’t goin for that

If you call on a foul during the shot and make it. It counts. During any basketball game at any level when there is a foul called on the shot does is ever not count? It stops all the cheating on foul calls and it's how real basketball is played.

Of we doing that then we need to stay consistent and play things like back court violation, 5 sec in the paint, shot clock, etc. Seems wrong to pick and choose.
