kara is right paige need to take more shot, she's left behind by her batch hailey vanlith, catelyn clark doing great they score 30plus points. she's more aware of her mistakes she's not like her high school game she need to step up, carry the team, uconn even though they have Williams and liv, and Westbrook she's still need to step up don't act likea freshman act like a leader, don't bother by mistake learn from it.
I watch all three of these young women; and how their games ae evolving. Paige is elite due to her great understanding of the game; her ability to see the floor, etc. I do agree she needs to trust herself to shoot more; but it would be a huge mistake for her to start comparing her production to prodigious scorers. But Geno screaming at her is NOT going to help. It looks like it's already making her miss shots she would normally make. She's a teenager ferchrissakes. Let her develop her game.
@@kurtjohnson4816 How do you develop as a player if their aren’t any obstacles coming your way? Paige wouldn’t come to UConn if it means the program there is not aggressive. She said she loves a good challenge. To prove another point the #1 Girls HS player Azzi Fudd c/o 21 said in one of her interviews that she wants the coaches to call her out on something that she’s doing wrong and that she said she loves coaches like that. It hurts me to see Geno yell at Paige but honestly it will make her improve in the long run. She’s just not used to Coaches yelling at her in her HS/AAU career, so it’s a big eye opener for her, she will get used to it eventually.And it’s not just Geno who’s yelling at the players, it’s literally every other coaches. Like the UConn vs Depaul i think it was, it was the 4th qtr with literally 15 seconds left and the Depaul coach yelled at a player really loudly and I even was thinking the game is over why are you still yelling at them. But that’s what COACHES do!

The schedules need to be more competitive. These matchups are not worth watching let alone these other teams know they have no chance against these powerhouse teams and know they are going to lose before they step on the floor. These lesser talented teams work just as hard to be the best they can be. The powers to need to figure something to fix this.
I agree completely. However, if you look outside the current top 7-10 teams, they all look like this. Nationwide, I don't think the level of competition is out there.
Nahh it’s a good thing. Paige said it herself, She wants Geno to be hard on her cuz she knows he’ll push her to become an even amazing player than she already is. And if im being honest you wont become a great player if you have a soft coach.

I think you can teach, inspire, and insist on high standards without berating and public shaming. Geno can definitely be an asshole. And did he really have to tell the media that this squad is "the worst shooting team" he's ever had? Dick move.
@@kurtjohnson4816 Anyone that has been a fan of UConn through the years knows that Geno says negative things about his teams to inspire them to do better and become better players. He has good relationships with current players and every player that has played for him in the past still says good things about him. Diana Taurasi is a great example of this. She had so much pressure on her after the elite team that graduated and then she had to become the leader of a team that won the next 3 championships with less talent and at such a young age. She had so much pressure on her...that she became a leader and the best player that may have ever come through the program because of Geno's verbal and mental tactics. Like they say, if you want to win a championship, you go to UConn. Most of his best players went on to become dominant in the WNBA and the Olympics...so he must be doing something right.
