- In this video from Thursday and Friday I covered all the locos except D8568 which will be on another video, as I have said at the end of the video there will be more footage to share.

I do enjoy filming on this railway Dave, but my feet don't as there are so many place I can get to,
My problem is I don't have the time to get over there, so the two diesel gala's are the best time to go.

Wow what a super show the SVR put on this year, so glad you were on hand to film this spectacle Mike. Such a vast array of locos, i don't know where to start. Loved the Colas 56, the class 50 and the humble 31s were just great. Can't wait for part two Mike but meanwhile a big thank you for sharing this video. All the best, Colin.
I'm so pleased Colin you have enjoy this video, there was a lot of delays but I managed to cover all the locos moving.
I will be uploaded more footage but I don't think I will call it part two.

Jeff it seams it gets better every year, I didn't plan anything before I went, apart from where I will go to first.
They had a lots of problems on Thursday so I just tried to pick up every working loco over the time I was there Jeff.

I still don't really know how the fires started Andrew, but it looked go with the Western coming through, how you enjoyed the gala, and yes the SVR did a superb getting them visiting locos there. Have a good weekend Mike.

It was a great gala at the SVR! Good filming. I did find it strange sitting in a HST on the SVR though 😂

Well Jamie you did it last year and its a good long drive for you, I had a very good time apart from getting very wet as I didn't take a coat as the weather forecast was no rain, plus camcorder problems at times.
I'm thinking of going to the GWSR gala, but I will come to next years Swanage gala.

Hi, I didn't have time to do any haulage this time, and all the places I did my filming there was only two places the public was aloud to go.

yes they are from the hst firm, they have been there a few weeks now

Trust you Mike to capture drama. The lineside fire and I assume the DBSO was held due to it? Fantastic video as always from you and I'm getting the feeling I need to film these galas one day. Yeah Ben it was a great gala, the DBSO waiting at that signal had nothing to do with the fire.
I think the signalman was have problems with the signal.

Who would have thought that when the line was closed that one day a HST would be travelling (albeit a very slow speed) along this track?
That was the second visit of a HST on that line.
I still think they should get a bridge put back in place and get track back through the tunnel …. It would be so good if it was possible to get the line rebuilt up to at Lindley Halt and maybe even to Coalport. Sod the golf course it would be easy enough to drive a track back through the middle of it… bloidy golf!! Lol 😂

No, I was told someone threw a cigarette out of a window, but as there was more than one fire I don't think so.

Great video and nice to see such a vast variety of traction, notice the idiots are still visiting though hanging out of any available space, time the heritage sector discouraged this behaviour..
Oh lord, you're not advocating windows you can't open and hi viz jacketed goons to maintain order like on mainline charters are you? Should heritage lines become a Health & Safety police state as well, with every suggestion of showing any kind of enjoyment squeezed out?
Allan a lot of people like to put there heads out of the windows and why not as the train is only doing 25 mph.
If H&S stopped people doing it that would be the end for these railways.
